When Does Bill Change The Offense To Start Games

So we always start horribly trying to force feed the post and it never works. We have guys that can slash, let's take advantage of it more like we saw in the second half.

U think cause they had 2 bigs?

No foul there

He needs to do it now. Dave will have his chance to be the man next year. Give up on the 2 big offense except for spot minutes.

Indisputable.

Not sure it’s horribly urgent. Iowa St is absolute hot garbage on defense and can’t make a 3 to save their lives. I’d definitely go smaller against Baylor. Have to space their zone.

Baylor not playing nearly as much zone , Drew has them playing more man to man

Withey/TRob? Chemistry.

Doke/Dave? The opposite.

Oddly, might Lightfoot and Doke function better together than Dave and Doke?

I wonder if Dok can play with another big? He wasn’t good alongside Dedrick either. Maybe Dok is just best a capitalizing on the spacing a 4-1 provides, but doesn’t work as well when the lane is clogged with another big and his defender. Makes sense since Dok is only effective from 5ft in that you wouldn’t want another big down there.

I’d love to see Dok run the flex option that Roy ran where the big swings out to the wing then crashes down into the post. He would destroy a handful of guys flying in like that then they would stop getting in front of him. And he could set some mean picks for Garrett to slash to the rim.

@dylans I think the answer at this point is pretty firmly no. Now if we had a big like Mook or cough cough Matt Hurt cough then maybe. To be fair to Doke, I think it's pretty much impossible to play 2 bigs that can't shoot in 2019 in general, this situation isn't unique to him.

@BShark Matt who🤮(bro hood) if we had consistent 3 pt shooters would help, but all we got is lane drivers. There were many times Self had to sit withey cause of matchup problems. Mizzou 🤮 is one team I remember having to do that.

I said all off-season the two big line up would struggle on offense if McCormack and Silvio didn't develop range to open up the two big high-low offense.

The reason that system worked for so many year prior was because Self had a big who could knock down mid range and perimeter shots and stretched the floor.

Dave can knock down some jumpers, don't think he has a green light. I actually think his shot looks good. Nothing works well, even against 2 quality bigs. I think after these last 2 games this should be DOA!

Just kills me to see Silvio struggle! I never imagined this!
