Crazy story!

@Kcmatt7 says a lot about how they were raised!

@Crimsonorblue22 Thanks for posting the link to this story. CB continues to impress me. He is utterly fearless on the court, and he apparently carries that fearlessness at all times. These young men were very brave and I'm so thankful their courageous act was successful!

I’d jump if I lived in Columbia too. Place is a shit hole.

Thanks for sharing that. I too saved someone's life, though it was on a train platform in another country. I didn't do it to be a hero or because I wanted to feel good - I did it because I should.

@Marco It warms my heart to hear stories of people doing the right thing for the right reason. Good on you!

Way to screw up a great story!

Now that I read the other posts yeah, I can tell.

Why, when someone posts such an uplifting story would someone feel the need to post negative things? Man, I am so glad that I am not wired that way. Great life stories should be left alone - they can stand on their own. Do I have opinions? Yes. But not when it comes to destroying great true stories.

@Crimsonorblue22 Sometimes people just think or do things because they should, huh?

Now, let's get back on point (I usually love @HighEliteMajor for his candor, just not this time), Braun is not only a great person but also a baller! He's going to star at Kansas. Am I the only one who sees Braun's pro potential.

Jan 08, 2020 02:34 AM #19

@Marco You're not the only one with high expectations for Braun! Long arms, thick ankles and big uh, ... attitude. I've loved the guy since day one, along with Tristan Enaranu, Isaiah Moss and Silvio -- all still high on the list of guys we want to see excel.

All in on everything you just said.

I mean no disrespect to these young men and glad they handled the situation. I have talked a few friends down in my day and it’s not a fun situation. But I won’t sugar coat what a terrible place I believe most of Missouri to be in general from my personal experiences.

And it is true, I give you that. But she was not offering a critique on the decline of certain sectors of America, but a great story. A person does not have to add, "yeah, but it is a total shithole." That's all. Yes, there are shitholes in this country and everywhere else, but she wasn't talking about that. We need to sometimes appreciate things for what they are.

Jan 08, 2020 02:45 AM #23

Sorry ... it is a great story. Wasn’t intending to distract from that.

Oddly, no one here is drunk-posting endless links to stories about people throwing themselves off parking garages in Missouri, so it's probably really not that dire a situation.

I have gone into enemy territory a few times and have firsthand knowledge of people (inlaws) from Missouri that I care about and they are actually very nice folks (despite being assholes about KU). Mutual feelings, etc.!

@kjayhawks It's all good....!
