I watched UNC blow it at home against Duke. That's about all I know about UNC this year. Can someone explain their disastrous season? And it is a year where the ACC isn't exactly going to beat the door down in March Madness.

They replaced all 5 starters and their best player was hurt for a stretch of winnable games.They lost to Wofford, Pitt x 2, VT, GT, Clemson, and BC during the stretch Cole Anthony was out.
I think they win 5 of those games with him in the lineup. So 15-11 is almost understandable after losing all 5 starters.

I think Roy lost the team right around when he aired them out earlier in the season.
Lots of injuries (especially Anthony). I see a team that cannot play the style Roy prefers and has perfected over the years. I don't see the chemistry with this group. Cole Anthony has reminded me a lot of Trae Young's year in Norman.
Roy had to get some grad transfers to supplement roster turnover and neither Keeling or Pierce has had the impact they were expected too. Bacot was a HS All-American and has had an up + down season but will be a top player if he sticks around. Brooks has been the one constant for them and his development has been overshadowed by team performance. The rest of the team is just not good enough to compete IMO. Perfect Storm kind of year for Roy.

I don't think he does with the recruiting class he has coming in. He signed 5 Top 50 kids. 4 of them made the All American Game.
The team he has just doesn't have it. His best player is meant for the NBA. Usually he has guys that are College Players and buy in.
