Tristan is home in the Netherlands and with the Travel Ban in place isn't sure when he'll be back

KU coaches can start working with players on July 20th. The players can return sooner on July 6th.

"We're much better playing 4 guards but we're going to have to play 2 bigs some. It'll be better playing 2 bigs next year because of Mitch. I see us playing 4 around 1 most of the time."

Says the team should be better then last years team in getting their own shots and in transition.

Says Mitch has improved his shooting.

So Coach Self has pretty much confirmed that Mitch will be seeing his minutes at the 4 next year. Interesting how when someone here said that, people tried ripping that notion apart because of past roster compositions.

Now that KU has roster loaded with 4's and 5's (6 by my count), that pretty much forces Self's to play a stretch 4 to get Mitch, Jalen, and Tristan (if he's back) any minutes next year. With KU down on playable back court depth next year as well, we're probably going to see a stretch 4 in the line up on a pretty regular basis.

@Texas-Hawk-10 Has there been talk about Enaruna bolting? I haven't kept up on that.

@approxinfinity I think @Texas-Hawk-10 is talking about whether Enaruna is allowed back in the US and when that may be.

Self said he doesn't know when Tristan will be able to come back from the Netherlands because of travel restrictions in place.

@Texas-Hawk-10 oh, I hadn't even thought about that :(

I would say there are a boatload of foreign students. If Tristan can't come back, then neither can they. There are probably several high profile programs with foreign student athletes.
