Lebron is good, but not anywhere near top 5, in my opinon. Thats all this is, opinions.
I respectfully disagree with you, Wilt is the greatest basketball player of all time. Maybe not the best winner, but he made them change the rules of basketball.

Would love to see Fox and Mason play together, but would rather Frank go pro after his stock is sky-high; leading us to a National Championship!
I like to think that the trade (lebron probably ordered) lead to the cavs losing in the finals, cleveland is already cursed sports wise, but the #Wigginscurse could be remembered when Wigs is the MVP every year.
On a side note the cavs took Bennet over Noel and BMac, then traded him also for Love.

Really hoping we can get one suprise victory, a couple bounces go our way and a team thinks just showing up will get the win. Going to be tough but one upset would be helpful to build on. Problem is any victory after week one is an upset.
Im going to try and enjoy watching the team this year and not put an expectation on the tournament. I hope this is Wayne, Svi and Mason's last year as winning a National Championship skyrockets their stock, but I am going to try and enjoy watching them grow as a team than I have in the past.

My only disappointments were not using zone or press more. I thought this would have been a great time to experiment with it.
Overall I am not sure if the collapse from having a big lead against Germany was being out coached, making the incorrect change of style, a toughening moment, dead legs missing shots or just Germany getting hot from deep. All I know is Self and this team learned from this experience as a whole. My number one hope is that we learned from some of the competition...I hope we are watching tape all summer to learn some new international concepts to throw at teams all year long.

Pretty sweet when an All American is the 4th/5th big off the bench. I hope love the attitude he brings, something we have been missing the last few years; Wayne seems to be showing it a little in the WUG. I am also happy to see Bragg/Jamari/Hunter dive for loose balls, I love when players will sacrifice themselves.
@Statmachine I wish I could have watched that Chile game on tv. Inferior opponent or not, I love the idea of our team running teams out of the building (especially with our bigs that can get up and down). Hopefully with the short shot clock it even speeds the game up more, and our depth can really shine.
Will BG take a medical redshirt if Wayne is the starting 3 this year? Who do you think will be the starting 2? (Svi, DG, BG?)
I like the thought of Wayne, Perry and Frank having a little contest for POY, but I think in 9 months Farnk will be the most valuable, Wayne will be the most improved/clutch/NBA ready, but Perry will be the POY.

What are everyone's goals for our team for the next 40 days? What are Self's goals? I know we all want to win the WUG, but outside of that and staying healthy what do you want to see the most?
My 2 goals are for Vick to be able to create on his own, especially late in the clock. And for us to be able to transition to zone/press while in the flow of the game.
I think it would be more interesting to have our former coaches (CW and Mangino) playing in this full court game. I hope Beaty goes for 50!
@Crimsonorblue22 Im happy the way it worked out, he needs to be "the man" for his team. But I think a couple of years of watching/learning from Lebron may have been better than growing on his own in Minn, but really not sure which path is best for him or any young player for that manner.

I cant wait to see Vick and Bragg play, because when we have the full squad in November I'm not sure how much they will contribute this year.
I would say it is an 8. Like others said we addressed needs, and that is more important than rankings in my opinion. If we miss on CD and he goes to ISU or St. John's we are looking at this class as maybe a 5? 6 at best? Bragg is going to be special, hoping this year, but expecting next year; but he isnt the style of big we needed. (Side note we could have out Iowa Stated Iowa State with a combination of Frank, Graham, Svi, Greene, Bragg and Perry on the floor! )
I think we got what we needed a power 5 that plays with energy and then 3 guys that have high ceilings. Vick and Bragg should push Wayne and Traylor for PT and that is a great thing. Seems like this is a great year for the WUG, we will get to see guys compete early. To me it jump starts the starting 5 arc we always talk about, who starts in November may not start in Feburary. This year maybe a Bragg or Vick becomes a 6th or 7th man because of how well they played in the WUG....

Bragg- I just wonder how much he will play, as Perry’s back up he would really get around 10 mins per game. But if Perry and Chiek are the starters and you have 3 other experienced guys in the mix for playing time also, how many mins will he get? I think it will be interesting to see. If he is a candidate for early departure, then something special happens!
Just crazy but could be a McD AA who only gets about 5-10 mins a game depending on foul trouble. Next year should be a starter, but this year I just don’t see him playing too much.
@drgnslayr I was forced to go out in the garage and hot glue the caps on to the table while listening to Bob and Greg while drinking more beer, it was horrible!
@HighEliteMajor After January 1st, no. In an exhibition match against Canada at the sprint center, yes. In South Korea when Wayne and Frank have 4 fouls and we need him to play 5 mins, yes.
Once again maybe I just don't view the WUG as important as the 2015-16 season. Also, you have a young man that bleeds crimson and blue ready to go, I take him over Nic Moore, but that my opinion and involves giving up talent to reward heart.
@HawkInMizery I guess I'm in the boat of rewarding/developing is more important than winning. Not that I dont want to win, but I put developing and rewarding our players above winning. My worry would be bringing in 1-2 "outsiders" and that being an issue with how we develope as a unit. Plus, was hoping to see how Evan/Christian/Pollard would compete.
