@BeddieKU23 No I don't believe that at all, as far as that goes I know its not that one sided, he was very solid with us for quite some time, and its NOT just Arizona he is visiting, he has listed 2 schools Ku & Arizona was quoted saying these are the 2 schools he really wants to visit. Ya much more concerned about Mich State then Arizona he has cooled on them ya still interested but the lead for him has closed considerably , Now do I think he will end up here? probably not, but have to strongly disagree we are a distant 3rd

dam guys, I know this i'm sure not getting a good feel as I once had on Bolden, talking up to much about Kentucky & Duke both same ol story about how they get their bigs in the pro's, talking about a January decision I dunno just not getting a good feel now, just like Fergurson at one time looked solid KU I STILL don't understand what it is, someone is NOT getting the job done, not selling the school hard core enough, we shouldn't have to see our program, this program should speak well enough for it's self now Jackson on the other hand getting a better feel for, looks like we have as good a chance as landing him as anyone, ya Michigan State making some push but Arizona is not near as solid as they were, I saw where he says 2 schools for sure he wants to visit official KU & Arizona i'm not a person who just wants to grab a body , but like some have said I've watched last year and now this year and other elite schools are getting their commits eary and I challenge anyone to say we are below anyone, I think we stand right there with ANYBODY so what is it? @BeddieKU23 very true, with the Duke commitment yesterday, and more then likely giles I STILL feel pretty confident on Bolden if we can get Bolden & Azubuike or Bolden & Herarld or Even Azubuike and Herarld I think we will be fine but like our chances with Bolden, Also saw this morning looks like the gap has been closed between us and Arizona for Josh Jackson, although it looks more of a crap shoot no more then ever with him, looks like he is still WIDE open it now shows Ariz 31% KU 23% and then Mary 15% , and Michigan St 15% and this recruiting analyst predicting Mich St, so we shall see ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@JayHawkFanToo you also have to ask yourself, like you say this kid is a 2 star juco , when these lists come out you have to remember who makes the list? is it the player or the college? Just because a player can rip off a long list of top flite colleges and say OH all these schools are recruiting me, REALLY? are they really? or are YOU recruiting the college? or make it look as much, how much interest does KU or any major power in college basketball as far as that goes REALLY have interest in kids like this? true in some cases yes they do have that interest, but in the majority its the player making HIS LIST of ideal schools that he would love to have recruiting him or ideally would love to play for. I'm 61 yrs old and been a lofe time Jayhawk fan, and you have to go quite aways back, to the last time any coach at KU was seriously that interested in a 2 star player, maybe even as far back as Coach Owens, I'm pretty sure you didn't see Larry recruiting 2 star, I don't think Mark T was even a 2 star or Cedric, I'm pretty sure Roy didn't and I'm dam sure Bill hasn't so again kind of like you said not really sure how interested KU actually was in this player, especially a juco. @drgnslayr Good point bud, maybe we are, could be for some reason Bolden doesn't want to come if we do, could be we end up with Udoka, Scheinder Herarld, and possibly Lightfoot, that wouldn't necessarily be a terrible thing, true Bolden more of the immediate impact player, but those three I believe cdould really add to the program over the period of time. If lets say Lightfoot would commit here, I think your looking at a 3-4 yr player Herarld is a 3-4 yr player & Udoka is probably a 2-3 yr player guess we just have to wait and see. jumpin-gee-hoosa-fats guys, I had no idea of all the recruits comin in for late night, you probably already have seen but will show anyways they are from the class of 2016- - Harry Giles , Malik Monk , DeAaron Fox , Marques Bolden , Schnider Herard and they are ranked by espn--rivals #1,5,7,20 &67 in order, then from the 2017 class we have Michael Porter , Trae Young , Jeremiah Telman , Mitchell Ballock , 2 , 23 , 25 , & 42 at this point and time and then from the class of 2018 we have Chaundee Brown , Wyatt Wilkes , Carte " Are Gordon & Courtney Ramey. 13 recruits comin in, THATS ALOT. 4 of the 5 from 2016 class is official visits, with then listing Bolden's as his official this month. All 2017 is unofficial of course, Then T.J. Leaf # 13 is coming in on the 16th of October, and they say we still have Josh Jackson to come, Braxton Blackwell, & Jarrett Allen at this point sometime which they are # 3 #66 & # 19 respectively, but that really surprised me on the number for late night. whatcha think? Great follow up guys, that's why I LOVE this site, meaningful comments, not just off the wall B.S I think the perfect scenario would to be land all 3 Azubuike, Bolden, & Herard. I do realize that probably not going to happen, but if we could get 2 out of the 3 then hell ya. Does anyone know though how he gets up and down the floor? I mean we know we are going to be pushing the ball quicker, so like this year if Cheick is eligible then no problem, because we know he can get up and down, but what about the 3 we are after for NEXT year? how do they handle the quicker pace? I mean Azubuike would be awesome, but yet if he has trouble making the transition then may not be as beneficial. just curious guys. Like has been said I believe he is a 2 even possibly 3 yr player, Scheinder is definitely a 3 yr I think, now Marques might be a push but I have no problem with having the other 2 around of 2 to 3 yrs. well had talked about this guy awhile back, Udoka Azubuike 6 ft 11 260 # 27 player by rivals. coming in this weekend for his visit, I would like to see us get this guy, big and bulky, not for sure how well he runs the floor, and with the shorter clock and if we play at the faster tempo hope he has good stamina, but would love to get him think he would be a good addition, solid. Says Ku is his only visit AT THIS POINT but we all know that will change sounds like though we could be in fairly decent position right now, but again that could change very easily. Would be a good haul if we could land him and Bolden both but we shall see. Then there is Lightfoot, coming in be here Thursday, not quite sure how to read this, not real sure how serious of interest we actually have in him 6 ft 8 could be wrong but wouldn't he be playing the same spot as Carlton? Not really sure just how much he could help us, contribute, interesting recruit. Although Coach Self must be seeing something, had our in home with him and now he is coming to visit. # 118 by rivals but that could change who knows. So what you think guys? A post from another site, a poster says lets sign somebody or are we going to sign anybody in the early period this time? he wigging out, LIKE ALWAYS not a good idea to sign somebody, anybody just for the sake to say HEY we signed this kid, or that kid early, we ACTUALLY have no control over 18 yr olds thinking, if they wanna sign early then they sign early, all we can do is bring them in show the campus, the facilities, meet the coaching staff, other players that's already here, then its up to them right? but to sign somebody just to be signing somebody? ummm- - - maybe not so much. He is being charged with murder in the death of his cellmate in a California prison. what a waste of talent

@drgnslayr well guy says Flordia State is leading on him right now ( Udoke ) but KU was making a hard push. I think we could have quite a combination, lloks like we are in on quite a few of bigs, which we DO need. I think Udoke, is better then Herard, but still believe he is at least a 3 year player also, there has been some talk of getting 2-3 bigs in 2016 which we are probably gonna need,so IF we could get both Azubike & Herard and then more of an elite profile as the 3rd, I know that's a big if BUT it that panned out we would be vey solid at that spot as I believe Azubike & Herard would fill in quite nicely as backup for some relief minutes get some playing time and develop would would be fine for some years to come quite solid there. just read where Udoka Azubike has set his visit to come to Ku. he will be in the week or weekend whatever it is on the 18th of September, the same weekend T.J.Leaf Azubike is 6ft 11 and 265 pretty good size, right now says Flordia State is leading, but Ku making a strong push. we shall see.

As far as the football team I agree, I feel its going to be a l- - -ong year, feel like our best chance for a W is our 1st game. But like you I feel like THIS is the right guy, I like the connections he has, I know its a minor thing, BUT we are at least getting sniffs, looks and some visits from higher profile recruits that in the past we would of been laughed at for to even try to get their consideration. ONE is the kid right here in Kansas pretty high profile he narrowed list and we still there, true may just be courtesy, but then again who knows. another is getting again YES its a transfer but the kid From Miami and others like him. I fully believe is that WE as fans, and especially the ALUMI the boosters, have JUST GOT to be patient, as you say as depleted as we are its going to take time. definitely NOT this year, NOT next year, its about slowly improving, working at getter the better talent, building the numbers. I feel this guy definitely has the right plan, he has the backing of the players. he saturated the State of Kansas I believe they said hitting all the high schools making their presence known to the athletes something previous didn't try or at least not very hard to do. 1st step is we have to compete SHOW we have and do want the in state talent from our own state WHEN ITS THERE. we can't just give our old buddies down the pike a free pass to any talent they want within the state. Then he is building the walk on program which I heard was very successful, get some grey shirts find that diamond. Again the key is PATIENCE, you can't keep turning over every 2 to 3 years and get any continuity, yes I realize the last 2 coaches were NOT GOOD AT ALL. but it is going to take time we are rock bottom I mean rock, rock bottom, but like you I feel we have the right guy. thanks for your help and cheer the boys. OK , its time to say enough is enough. I'm really not sure who is at fault, BUT seems for sure to me, someone isn't cutting it anymore, pulling their weight, closing the deal. I mean Seriously, with the basketball tradition we have, the national exposure we have on TV, the schedule we play year in and year out, the players we have been putting into the N.B.A, the outrageous atmosphere, the home court advantage we have, the crazy's and we are losing players in recruiting left and right. SOMEONE is not closing out on these kids. I mean this year 1st, all I see is how Terrance is a lock, all you saw on twitter account was nothing but KANSAS, every thing I saw, heard was KANSAS, KANSAS, KANSAS. and lo and behold next thing I know ALABAMA, ALABAMA, of all schools with NO basketball tradition at all steps in and BAM gone. Ya Ya I don't want to hear about well Avery Johnson and the pro's great that's nice but there is NO way that a school like ALABAMA should be or is on the same level. Don't tell me AVERY JOHNSON is as good as a coach as coach self, he has proven nothing at the college level. Then 2nd, we have lost ground and I mean ALOT of ground with Marques Bolden, another player that at one point seemed was ours for the taking. WHAT HAPPENED? YA I know its DUKE at least a little more understandable, but still what the hell is our recruiters doing? something is not right, who is the lead recruiter on these guys? maybe its time for a change of recruiters, cause the job is not getting done, I mean you can't sit back and rest on your lorals thinking oh he is a sure bet, you have to stay on these kids, close it out. I can see, I can feel a swing in power coming for sure in the big 12 if something doesn't get fixed and soon. BUT we are at a level where its MORE then just about power in the big twelve, if we want to maintain our level where we are at then something better get done, and done soon. WE are losing out on to many of these guys. I mean I think we all know Josh Jackson isn't coming here. I would say we have lost our touch competing against the big boys with one and done's that's in the recruiting, because I will match us against ANYONE, ANYONE ! ! ! on tradition, exposure, scheduling, campus, atmosphere, players in the N.B.A. we stand even in all with maybe the exception of players in the N.B.A with Kentucky. As stated put in a lot of time on him, I will never understand, but of course AGAIN you are dealing with 17, 18 yr old kids you never know how easily they can be persuaded away. Like was stated before some had him and Josh Jackson playing the same position, I'm not for sure if that's true or not but if indeed they wee maybe he was afraid of the competition if Josh came, if Josh comes will all knew he would not, not saying Josh is coming but. As we all know some are still seen a lot prominent in or around the area but there is some just kinda poof, have quite a few that I've thought of so here goes: Dale Greenlee, Dave Robisch, the Kivisto brothers, Bob, Tom, Ken Koeings, Greg Dreiling, Darnell Valentine , Cedric Hunter, T.J. Pugh, Clint Normore, Victor Mitchell, Tommy Smith, Danny & Kelly Knight, Rick Suttle, Calvin Thompson, & I believe and this is bad not 100% sure but I think Rodger Bohensteil , Aubrey Nash. Well that's some that I remember not all big time players, but still part of the Jayhawk family crazy right? Anyone remember any of these guys? anyone know where they have gone? thanks guys. Josh's mom said it was like Arizona, Michigan State, UCLA, Maryland and KU working the hardest for Josh. She said they will definitely be taking the visit to KU for sure on that one she says, She was ask if KENTUCKY was a player in the game for Josh. she said NO DEFINETELY NOT. dam sorry to hear that. so take this for what its worth but though it was a little encouraging words anyways. he is the nu 1 shooting guard in the class of 2016 so we shall see

Guys, I'm opening myself up to stupidity, but I'm lost and need intelligent insight. I am sooooo confused of Cheick's eligibility, people talking about clearinghouse this that and the other. This right here for sure gives away my age, but I'm 61 yrs old so let me ask or say, when way back many many moons ago when I was back in high school it was pretty simple, you took either ACT OR THE SAT either and or both to see if you qualified to get into college had to obtain a certain score off those tests. @BeddieKU23 the only thing I can say on Jackson is what I've seen yesterday, and this is SINCE the games with Miller coaching,not that long ago they had us in a dead heat, all even at 46% between us and Arizona, now its us back up 46% and Arizona has dropped to 38% with I believe its Louisville taking the 8 % Arizona has lost

A New name has just popped up, never heard ANYTHING on this guy till just like the last week. His name is Jayce Johnson a as they say in article a 4 star rising 6 ft 11 center 225 lbs out of Henderson Nevada. I see we offered scholi just on the 28th of July. just kinda threw me for a loop had again heard nothing about him, 247 has an article on him today under basketball news, now there it shows I believe Arizona State in the lead, BUT if you go under the latest crystal ball shows KU in he lead, right now shows KU, Auburn, Ariz St, and Utah kinda mixed feelins, hope we get Bolden, saw where bolden today was talking about visiting KU. Then on others read today again where Trae Young is visiting for late night, this is his 2nd unofficial visit to KU although Duke it shows has a huge lead for him, says with this being 2d unofficial visit to KU could shake things up. Then Michael Porter as we know is visiting for late night, I feel this is a huge recruit for KU, in order to stay on top when you have top notch recruits right in your back yard, you can't afford to let them get away, kinda surprised but as of now it shows us with a huge lead over Washington and Duke. shows us at 71% and the other 2 at 14 % each need to nail him down yes I realize he is 2017 long ways out, lots can change, but we need to keep on top of him and keep him secured. bored, trying to push thru summer. maybe I'm sadistic but kinda anxious to see the 1st football game, just love college sports can't beat the atmosphere. think its going to be interesting to see how Coach Beaty does I DO like his mo-jo its just gonna take tine, can't emphasize enough, patience. Now on Basketball recruits I saw where Terrance is close to announcing, still like our chances with him his latest on 247 crystal which was like a week ago still had us way in front like 76% for KU then Smu 12% so lets hope. I also sa where we have gained some ground back on Josh Jackson either # 1 OR # 2 depends on which you look, last time it was KU 46 % and Ariz 46 % now as of the 24th of this month its KU 46 % Ariz 38 % & Maryland 8 % last I knew we were solid with marques Bolden still. A new name that 247 has us in on and some even predicting us is Braxton Blackwell # 38 but it shows Vndy in the lead with 50 % IU at 25 % then KU, Tex, and Louis all at 8 % so to me that's tellin m not so much. also looking at Alex Reese # 49 a 6ft 9 forward and then some have mentioned Wyatt Wilkes although I think not. In on some very good 2017 recruits which obviously the top one is Micheal porter, then there is Trae Young which I feel our chances ar better with him the Porter, Jordan Tucker # 28 6 ft 7 shooting guard Gary Trent jr # 10 don't hold your breath there, and then Mahamed Bamba # 4 which talks with Diallo so who knows anyways guys for what its worth have a great day. HUGE win, you could see just exhausted no lift in their shots, and of course me being skeptical Jane cursing ranting hollering at TV saying to myself Wayne has disappeared and then BAM huge 3 pt shot. Going into 2nd overtime told my wife says maybe the team is missing my good luck kiss from you and lo and behold it helped lmao.. Seriously really a bad shooting day but they gutted it out ROCK CHALK/U.S.A we were able to do what no others from the U.S.A has done in 10 yrs GOLD BABY. YES Nic Moore a defensive liability a lot in the tourney because of his size, post him up low, or just mis match on switches getting hung up in BUT what a huge huge steal like the announcers said maybe not the steal of the game but of the tourney. guys I don't know how you feel, but this was a HUGE win. I can not be any more proud of a group of guys as these guys. They played so tough. When the Russian guy threw in and that's what it was, was a throw when that went in you had to wonder. Russia had all the momentum and even went up by one, and then at that point U.S.A/K.U. showed their toughness, loved it. Perry had a great game turned it on this game when we needed, really sweet , Wayne continued to be a beast. Kinda funny I had just said to myself- - ya I know talking to myself lmao, but had just said Wayne a disappeared for a bit in the 2nd half and what happens? Wayne drains a big 3. Frank like they said was an iron man, solid tired but solid. Hunter, & Landon played well just everyone overall did really good, showed toughness. Damm Russia was so big 7ft 3 and 7 ft 1 they looks athletic the team did seemed fairly quic looks like we did a better job defending the 3 in the 2nd half. SO, PROUD, SO SO PROUD I am willing to stand up and admit I didn't think we would do this well, so let me have it guys I deserve it lol. I love these guys, I think we are on the brink of a really nice upcoming season. This team has done a lot more then a lot of all star teams that has went over just can't say enough. hey, I know the game tonight at 10:00 with LITHUANIA is surpose to be televised, BUT I just checked my Television schedule for ESPNU tonight and its show absolutely nothing about carrying the game. Its showing that 30/30 and other programs at game time. So whz up?
