@Kcmatt7 if we had an elite QB we are bowling the last two years. I’d take Bender or Stanley over JD they had much worse coaching and players around them.
Jason Bean-he was our winning QB

Not gonna wanna watch this
Why do we torture ourselves every year?
Well, not a blowout at the half. Pretty good, pretty, pretty, pretty good. Now, let’s go get bowl eligible.
@approxinfinity I miss the banner at the bottom that showed who was active on the site at that particular moment. If I’m the only one commenting on KU football, I will find something else to do. But if the banner showed 30 other people on the site, I wouldn’t feel so lonesome commenting back to myself when no one else responded to my insightful comment.
KU starters have played a lot of minutes. I sure hope our bench plays well tonight.
Flory hasn’t scored in a long while
Wow, Syracuse taking #3 Houston to OT. TNT just starting OT

Kohl wasn’t even a factor.
Kohl: 19 min, 1 missed 3, 1 asst and 3 fouls. Jeez.
UGH 1/6 from 3. Only 6 shots in almost 18 min
Kohl and the bench are still scoreless
Oh my. KSt had 574 yds of offense; 472 rushing and 6 TDs and somehow managed to lose that game. That’s gotta hurt KSt.
Good grief: KSt with 408 rushing yds in 3 Qs and 4 rushing TDs. Utah getting punked at home

KSU has over 330 yards running against Utah in the first half
Another ruined weekend: KU with another massive loss and KSt pounding #12 Utah at the half to get bowl eligible. Come on Utah, you’ve still got a half to fix part of my weekend.
The adage misery loves company is certainly true; thanks to everyone who still comes here to comment. Your comments help me get through another miserable year of KU football.

It should be Isiah Marshall time but it won’t be because Lance loves JD to much. Just like Juan with Self last season will ride with them regardless of mistakes and score/wins.
I agree. Daniels isn’t going to help win this game; 6/12 for 46 yds and 9 yds rushing. Clearly the Daniels era has ended and KU needs to move on. Give Ballard a quarter and Marshall the other quarter and start looking to next year.
Really hoping for a W today. But, not counting on it.
Ugh, I’m still suffering from the KSt and AZ losses. Lance and staff just can’t seem to win games. The closeness of the games shows KU has the talent on the field to win. I’m not sure a 5-7 season is any better than 0-12. Worse because I follow the team only to suffer these close losses. KU led almost the entire AZ game until the last 60 seconds; KU is every other college team fan’s favorite team to play.
How many long rebounds are going to go to NC? Jeez

There’s a 3 for kohl
The robust facial hair might be affecting his shot
Arizona holding onto a 4pt lead over #3 Fla. 3 min left. AZ pulling away: 9pt lead 2 min. Not to jinx it but it would be a nice Big 12 win
Only bench scoring is Tiller 3 pts.
Zuby has 12 pts for the #5 Red Storm early in the 2nd half
I haven’t heard if Canadian Rioux will play this year. He hasn’t played yet.
#3 Florida v. #13 Arizona at 6 C on TNT. I usually listen to pregame, but I’m interested in both these teams. North Car at 6 also, so I guess I’ll record that. Yeah! Basketball

@wissox Utah looked awesome tonight. I think we can beat both Arizona and ISU though.
AZ scored 52 pts in 3 Qs at Colorado, so I’m not counting on beating them in AZ to become bowl eligible. KU may be left with beating IState in Ames. But IState won’t have to beat KU to get to a bowl since they still have OSt on their schedule.
If KU wins today, what chance does anyone give KU to beat IState or AZ/UT to get bowl eligible?
@kjayhawks said in Okie Lite Game chat:
Crazy how mad I am at at defense for only giving 7 points but man we let them go on 3 12 play drives
I’m way more disappointed with the offense: 10 pts against 1-7 OkSt? Only 54 yds passing? Pathetic
Seems like this might be a trap game where KU thought they could just show up and win
Kohl with the Pedro Sanchez mustache; Napolean Dynamite’s high sch00l buddy
Ugh, TikTok is rage baiting me with KState plays taunting KU’s ineptness. Insult to injury. Very painful.
I missed the Gurley pregame interview with Coach, but watched a replay. Coach says KU finally gets a home exhibition game next year with Louisville. I can’t believe KU has to beg for a home exhibition game. Last night’s game got scheduled because both schools are Addidas programs and Coach said something about NIL being involved. Wow, it is so complicated now with shoe companies and NIL in the mix.
Back to Football: Comparing QBs, who would have guessed that Johnson has more rushing yds than Daniels-238 to 199. Passing: JD has 18 TDs/2 INTs; Johnson 13 TDs/2 INTs. JD completes 70% of passes for 1,752 yds; Johnson 63% for 1,561 yds. RBs: Leshon 55 carries-309 yds, 5 TDs; Jackson 75 carries-313 yds, 1 TD. Pretty dang even. My hope is that home field advantage will provide a big difference. But, rain is moving in so we will see if KU fans arrive and stay in the stands. KU must win this game. RC
I wonder why KU doesn’t get any home exhibition games.
Well, let’s hope our defense can get a couple of stops
So, Colo beats IState. What the hell is going on?
Ugh, more than a 2 TD dog tonight. I worry that KU’s defense isn’t up to this challenge.
Mizzou and Ala tied in the third Q. Strange: my dislike of Mizz forces me to root for Ala, whom I also dislike and would usually root against. And hey, what’s up with 3-2 and unranked Tex being a 2.5 fav over #6 OU?

We don’t beat K-State in football
Like you, I look to recent history rather than overall. KU last beat KState in 2008; that’s 16 consecutive wins for KState. That’s what sticks in my mind about KU football and all the KState fans that surround me in Kansas. I was at Memorial Stadium when KU finally stopped the Nebr streak in 2007.
