I emailed Bill at the half and told him we here at the Bucket think that the guys have to shut down that McNeil dude. Bill responded with a "Thanks, we read everyone's posts all the time during the game and use them to coach the game."

This summer we drove across West Virginia. It was a beautiful drive. We went up a trail to the Seneca Rocks which was super cool. Missed the New River gorge bridge, but have done it before. Stayed in Elkins, a super cool college town in the mountains. Went to super crowded and super touristy Harpers Ferry, no where even to park so we just drove through. I just sometimes marvel that such an amazingly beautiful state can be one of our more dysfunctional states with huge social problems.

My dads alma mater almost beat Misery.

Silas been going nuts on charge calls. Texas in the Maui classic was getting screwed against UNC and Walton was going nuts which isn't hard for him to do.

Wisconsin scored 3 points in the first 11 minutes against Holberg tonight. Then scored 64 in the last 29 for an easy victory. Nice doubleheader tonight for me.

Looks like a typical crowd in Oklahoma.

So all winter sport athletes have been granted an extra year of eligibility. While it's a grand gesture, I'm sure in private coaches are squirming as they consider using scholarships for kids who will say sure, the NBA isn't calling so I'll come back. Some of these are kids are players who coaches will welcome back, others, maybe coaches aren't so sure. I haven't been able to figure out if extra scholarships will be granted. Roster size rules are temporarily being waived so that is difficult question to figure how it impacts our sport.

Are some coaches telling kid, sorry Malik, there isn't any playing time for you next year because we've got to get this guy. Are other coaches 'recruiting' seniors to entice them to stay for another year?

This all seems very complicated.

Further complicating is waving sitting for a year for transfers. The recruiting of current players is going to start over. I'm sure KU will join many of the other haves and try to lure away kids who they think can help.

There's also the prospect of a team like Wisconsin starting 5 seniors, several of whom are 24 years old and having them come back as a whole. None of them are NBA material, so why not hang around and try to enter an uber experienced top 10 team into the mix?

This whole covid thing has been such a disaster in so many more important ways so I don't mean to trivialize people seriously suffering losses of life or finances. But it's going to have an impact on our sport.

Man the officiating is so bad this year. Illinois getting totally screwed at Rutgers. Rutgers has a good team. 10-3 foul count right now.

@BeddieKU23 Of course I watched Louisville today play the Badgers. Here's how bad it was for Louisville. With 9 minutes left Brad Davison made a 3 pointer and got fouled, made the FT. Those 4 points equalled Louisville's total for the whole game through 11 minutes. Wisconsin had them doubled with 4 minutes left.

Chris Mack is a total jerk so administering a beatdown, even if they were depleted because of covid and injuries was totally satisfying.

It takes a little luster off our Kentucky win, but they're 1-5 right now. We didn't see it when we played them, so it's a little surprising they're a 1-5 team on the floor.
