ELITE OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT NDSU GAME THREAD β€’ Dec 05, 2020 09:15 PM

@approxinfinity Yes, me too. It's unique in all of the world of college basketball.

ELITE OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT NDSU GAME THREAD β€’ Dec 05, 2020 09:15 PM

My biggest pet peeve in life is people who say should of instead of should have.

ELITE OFFENSIVE JUGGERNAUT NDSU GAME THREAD β€’ Dec 05, 2020 09:04 PM

This was worth 5.99

Braun causes a TO then Garrett forces a TO

We might get shutout today

Multitasking. Jayhawks on computer, Badger football on TV. Chatting both games. If I make what appears to be an out of the blue statement it's because I'm commenting on the football game and forgot where I was posting!

North Dakota State University β€’ Dec 05, 2020 05:43 AM

Don’t forget Jeff Boschee!

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:56 AM

If a team plays a game and it's cheap fans don't pay 6 bucks to watch it, did it really happen?

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:45 AM

I've got a student named Tyon and also one named President

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:37 AM

Has Washburn scored any points yet?

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:19 AM

@BeddieKU23 Then that would up the pressure! I say start the game losing 35-0 to Washburn.

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:17 AM

Here's a proposal for these unofficial games. The coaches preset the amount of points to spot the big underdog and then see if we can comeback to win. It would almost be better experience for our guys to play with a little pressure.

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:14 AM

@BeddieKU23 Yeah, but who's winning?

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:09 AM

Does KU have a hockey team? I'd love to see an ice rink in AFH.

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 02:01 AM

Since I'm not paying 5 bucks to watch a scrimmage I'll just make up what's happening in my minds eye.

Someone said we're winning by 17. Is that 17-0? Been a long time since the football team shut someone out in a half.

Garrett just stole the refs wallet.

Big Dave Just drained a fadeaway three.

Enaruna was guarding a ball handler, Self pulled his mask over his eyes.

The janitor is singing I'm a Jayhawk while sweeping the court.

Pizza Shuttle is offering every fan at tonights game a free pizza if they score 100 points.

Billy Preston just drove into another curb.

Hmm, that was interesting. Just saw an ad for a new album Sing along with Mitch Lightfoot.

The basketball world is euphoric over the losses in one evening of Duke and Kentucky. Cal and K sent each other texts saying we've got to pay refs more.

Braun tells everyone wissox is correct about the pronunciation of his name, it's Bron.

There's not one NBA scout or Adidas shoe goon in the stands tonight.

Local announcer dudes call the hallowed building by its real name Allen Field House. ESPN announcers will still call it Phog Allen Fieldhouse.

An Ichabod just learned their name comes from a dude in the Bible.

KU Athletic director Jeff Long, or is it Huey Long just voted least popular AD in America for his espn+ deal meaning cheapskates like me won't get to see tonight's game.

@jaybate-1-0 Where are you? I wouldn't have to write these stupid posts if you were around.

@KUSTEVE @DoubleDD @HighEliteMajor @VailHawk @JayHawkFanToo @Ralster @dynamitehawk I know I'm missing some, but where the heck have you been? Come back!

Washburn Game Thread β€’ Dec 04, 2020 01:41 AM

Are we winning?

Most people to die in a day in Illinois was yesterday in Illinois, well over 200.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 05:00 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 He's a small forward. He'll never be a big which is fine.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 04:28 AM

This game reminds me of last night with very choppy offense but they're proving to be more competent generally offensively.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 04:26 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Oh I see, you're calling Wilson a big who shoots threes. He's more like a small forward in my view so I guess I don't compare him to the 7 footers that have regularly been a part of the Badgers seemingly ever since the new century began.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 04:12 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 ??

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 03:45 AM

KU has never really had the big guy that can shoot the 3 like that Illini big and that Wisconsin has basically invented with all of their bigs who shoot 3's.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 03:44 AM

Baylor is the best team in the big12 according to Bilas. I don't mind him but he annoyed me last night when he didn't notice that Wilson had gone out with 4 fouls.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 03:30 AM

I think Scott Drew was glad when Brad Underwood left the Big 12. He knew that he couldn't match wits with him when talent is relatively even. I think Illinois is on their way to becoming the next annual contender in the BIG.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 03:24 AM

I tried to recruit Adam Miller to come to KU. I worked with his mom two years ago, met him once or twice. Mom told me he was interested in KU and U of I. I told him if he ever wanted to talk about KU let me know. Never asked!

I saw him play his last HS game against Chicago power Simeon (Derrick Rose, Jabari Parker, etc.) Morgan Park was a heavy favorite but Simeon sent some little guy out to guard Miller from the start. Super quick and he just face guarded him. Adam couldn't handle it and picked up two fouls in the first minute, then went back in in the 2nd quarter and picked up his 3rd right away. It was a brilliant coaching strategy that I've never seen.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 03:19 AM

Since I grew up in Illinois and have been following the Illini since 79 when they upset Magic and eventual NC, I'll comment on this game with a certain tilt, although I'm not an avid Illini fan. This is the problem with moving all over the country like I have. I latch onto the locals.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 03, 2020 03:06 AM

@BShark 86% FG shooting. Got to be a near record. Classic early season matchup that shouldn't count in records just as our games with FT Hayes, Emporia and Washburn don't. Greenville is an NAIA school I think near St. Louis in Illinois.

After 3 games- Discussion β€’ Dec 02, 2020 11:03 PM

I don't think Dave is as bad of a player as he showed last night. I also don't believe he's as good as a 5 star should be. He can be a valuable asset for this team. Generally his shooting seems decent, FT is nice. He just doesn't play like a guy his size should.

Non-KU Games Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 10:53 PM

Walton going nuts about the soft foul calls against Texas. "I've not seen a travesty of justice like this in my lifetime".

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:28 AM

2 bench points.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:17 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Seriously? That's great! I didn't want to spend the money this year, still annoys me a bunch that our AD would stoop to such a pitiful arrangement.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:16 AM

@FarmerJayhawk LOL, hope your TV's ok, or did you throw it at the window or something!

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:14 AM

I still don't know how they call that a 3?

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:11 AM

@FarmerJayhawk I think Tristan's parting moment was not blocking out a guy on a FT who blew by him for an easy layup.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:09 AM

@Kcmatt7 Was it that high? I didn't realize! Maybe the piss poor D against Gonzaga had me longing for something I'd forgotten was so near.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:08 AM

Remember ugly is in the eye of the beholder. Defense was superb both ways and while it leads to scoring droughts and missed shots, there's a beauty to it and i long for the days of the top defense in the country type Bill Self team.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:05 AM

Badgers play Marquette Friday. Illinois-Baylor tomorrow night. Huggie/zags tomorrow. Hoops week smorgasbord.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:03 AM

@Kcmatt7 OK, I never watch Sportscenter so I'll give you that. Hoping they get to our game soon.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 05:00 AM

Sportscenter guy just said its stranger to see no fans in cameron than in any other place. There are fans of about 350 DI teams that would disagree with that statement. ESPN wonders why fans think they're biased.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:57 AM

Beating Kentucky is the most satisfying thing this side of beating Duke.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:52 AM

Wow, horrible.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:52 AM

I'm a little biased but it's on the line

The stupid dribble clock down....

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:46 AM

@BeddieKU23 What's the punch line?

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:45 AM

Braun breathing on the guy, 2 shot foul

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:44 AM

This is cool

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:40 AM

Just win baby. I lied a little when I said I didn't get nervous until the last minute.

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:37 AM

watch, refs are going to cheat wilson out of the game

Calamari Game Thread β€’ Dec 02, 2020 04:35 AM

That was clean. DOn't reward that crappy garbage
