He didn't want to be traded. No assurance came from the Celtics that it wouldn't happen.
The most common underage arrest. How will the new coach handle this?

I see our main competition as WVU, OU and TCU. The common thread is a great coach.
Self thinks Frank could sneak into the first round.
This will probably be the first time I stay up to listen to round 2.
Ball's dad said his son would not play for anyone but the Lakers. Magic seems to be more impressed with Josh, so he brought him back for another look. Will Josh move past Mr. Ball? Also, news that Lebron might move to the Lakers. He is a resident of LA.
KU and West Virginia will both beat Kentucky this year. Also, an interesting video about shoe companies hosting pre-season tourneys.
I feel like there will be a surprise next Wednesday night. Thirteen teams wanted a look at him. He graded out well in the combine. I can't wait to here Jay Bilas say, "What a great pick."
Next week, Josh Jackson will be guaranteed over $17,000,000 over 3 years. He deserves it. He will be a star and a major player for a long time sans injury.
Frank Mason, http://www.kuathletics.com/news/2017/3/6/mens-basketball-2017-postseason-awards.aspx ↗ will be selected in the second round with 9 other point guards that are projected to be a better pick.

As a second round pick, if he is offered a contract, the guaranteed minimum is around $800,000.There is no guarantee that a contract will be offered. If none comes, the next option to stay with the NBA is to play in the D-League where the average salary is between $30-40 thousand.
This reminds me of the Heisman Trophy winner Doug Flutie who was drafted #285.
Look at the PG's who will be drafted ahead of him and how 3 of them faired against Frank Mason and KU. Jawun is the only one that would rate a tie.
Some people say that Milwaukee wants him and wants him on their roster as the 49th pick.
Tall people make more money.
They were hugging him in the locker room after the Michigan State game. He'll play in front of a hometown crowd in the Battle for Atlantis in Nassau.

Summertime threads with Jaybate.
:guitar: Because there ain't no cure for the Summertime muse.
@mayjay You are right, The games are in mid-July and KU doesn't leave until the end of July to play the first game in Rome on August 1st.
Bol Bol will be joining him on the team. At 7'2", he still has his offer from KU. But Kentucky, UCLA, and Arizona have joined the ranks of recruiters.
When I saw (Saving Private Ryan) at the KC premiere, I saw several of the Vet's that had been invited to the screening crying during the half hour sequence of the landing at Omaha Beach. These gentlemen in their 80's and 90's were truly the greatest generation.
Lightfoot might not play much, but it was interesting to hear coach say that all of the bigs will have to watch him to learn the flows of the offense and defense.
All right. I promise not to start a thread about the success of Andrea Hudy anymore. If she was not a woman she would be a man and then we obviously would ignore his success.
@HighEliteMajor liberals in this country attach more merit to the achievements of the non-white man, all other things being equal.
When have all other things ever been equal?
UNC, besides UK, will play Indiana, Tennesee and the Maui Classic.
Besides playing KU, Kentucky will play UCLA at Rupp, North Carolina, and Louisville.
Schedules are made up to five years in advance. This team could use some time to gel. If our boys beat the UK Freshmen, we should be 13-0 to start the season. Most of the Mid-Majors were conference winners last year.
@Fightsongwriter or Slim.
I would have Oklahoma and TCU ranked higher.
Calhoun gave her two weeks. Self-said "I don't want to hire a woman."
I remember the Big 10 saying after the smoke cleared when Nebraska was picked over Missouri, that their big mistake was not picking KU. During all of the jockeying, the speculation, of what would happen to KU when the Conference broke up was: We would entertain offers from the American Conference, the Mountain West, and the Conference USA. Self then said that the PAC-12 would take KU and we all began to wonder about the country not seeing any of our games until after 10 pm.
Being moved to a Mid-Major conference or playing after midnight would have the part of the country that resides East of the Rocky Mountains not watching the Jayhawks or DVRing the games to watch later. MU loved the situation we were in, ruining the best basketball program in the country over $. The Antlers, The Campus racism, the three consecutive criminal coaches before Kim Anderson who played with no recruits makes it unacceptable to me for the present time to reward them with the exposure they would receive and $ by once again having KU allow them to be on our schedule. Someday, and it will probably be sooner than later, KU will be faced with a tournament that schedules them against KU, be it the NCAA or the SEC Challange, then we'll play them. Can you imagine Self's practice before that game?
The emotions of the last game.
When you lift weights with only one hand wouldn't only one arm get stronger? How will he be gripping the ball on a quick hard pass? I can understand barbells on his shoulders and doing exercises, but won't he end up with one Popeye arm and one Olive Oyl arm? I know he's been going on long bike rides with Hudy. He might get taken out early because of fouls, but probably not as much because of stamina.

The best backcourt in the country still resides at Big-Man U.

Devonte only Jayhawk on the list, while Keegan speculates that Malik will be Big 12 player of the year.
I feel comfortable with the level of play with Devonte, Vick and Svi. Malik won't face another guard better than the one he had to spend a whole year guarding in practice last year. Preston reminds me of Julian Wright. If he can reach JuJu's level we will love him. Whitman has all of the "Up and Under" dance moves of Kevin McHale so he'll score, but he won't be a banger like Doke. If Udoka can set a screen and if he learned to pick and role from Mr. fundamental, (Lucas) he'll be fine. He will create flying lob dunks for others while occupying
the inside with his monster body. Cunliffe is an athletic scholarship version of a Conner Teahan. His sister Hannah is a two-time all-American in Track at Oregon. Garret might be the breakout player off the bench. He signed with KU then afterward became the player of the year in Texas. Lightfoot hopefully has been eating, lifting and growing mentally and physically. He's a good kid that we will always root for.
Now that High School graduations have taken place and we only have two months before Rome and Milan, are all of these players in McCarthy Hall and doing their dailies?
@RockChalkinTexas I've been thinking about you and the year you've had. Memories will live forever and some make you laugh and some cause a tear. I hope your personal health is improving.
Here it is.
13 NBA teams have asked him to come in and work out. There is an awful lot of interest in Frank.
I think the improvement of Oklahoma at the end of the year and the addition of Trae Young will make them one of the tougher outs. TCU has a good team coming back after they beat us in the Big 12 Tourney.
Jevon Carter has decided to return to WVU.
Whether he starts or continues to get his 25 minutes a game, we are a better team this year if Svi is here. I wish him well whatever he decides, but he is still a kid, age wise, in regard to the NBA"s love of "Projected Babies." Vick knows the 4-1 offense, Newman knows the offense, Graham knows the offense and Svi was a starter in this offense. Garrett and Cunliffe will not be sure of the offense in the first 3 weeks against Kentucky and Syracuse.
We will know by Wednesday whether or not this 3-year veteran returns.
Send your Bucket prayers to her Twitter account. One of her friends said that it has returned and it has spread. Her Twitter heading is a picture of her and Frank.
