Wow - no defensive presence on the perimeter or in the paint. Their guards are getting easy penetration. As bad as the offense has been today, defense has been worse...

I always watch the whole game. Today is difficult.

This is the worst 10 minute stretch of basketball since the opening 10 minutes of the Gonzaga game.

This is what we knew could happen to this team though. They have such a flawed roster

Yeah there is a reason the staff is desperate to add a guard. Cuffe can do what the staff wants. Drive/penetrate, play defense. Electric athlete at 6'2''.

that has to rank as one of the poorest displays of what they call basketball in some years that I can remember. -I would NOT want to be these guys. - -coach Self will be all up in that as, I can't say that I could find one positive about this game - -just total domination by Texas, & to think yet Baylor will probably beast Texas by double degits- - that should say enough about Baylor. - was not just one guy sucking , this was about the WHOLE FRICKING TEAM sucking balls today really sad

Having look at all the negatives & yet this also has to be said - -This was kind of the perfect situation for Texas- - no 6th man only 10 % capacity and a team that shoots 32.8 from the three for the year and they make 12-26 I think they said.

When your a team that's playing from behind the entire game just adds that much more pressure to score every time down the floor especially when your down double degits in the 2nd half - -you just half to score every time , then add to that you have to really put the screws down the entire half when your on the defensive end - - we DID NEITHER

What sucks is we should all be like “who cares this is just a rebuilding year” after we won the NC last year

The body language of the team was off, it seemed that their head was somewhere else.

They did not show any fight, uncharacteristic of a Self coached team.

This could be one of those early 11 AM games after a long holiday hangover type of a situation or it could be something else going on within the program that may surface later down the road.

Today was as bad as I can remember KU playing in a long time. It looked like a combination of having an 11am top off combined with having 11 days between games I believe. I think Self messed up by not getting a game on the schedule between Christmas and New Year's because this team came out flat and not in game shape.

The decision making was terrible today. I'm shocked KU had only 12 turnovers but I guess it was because a lot of the bad passes were on drives that should've been shot attempts and instead were bad dump offs and kick outs for worse looks. Only 6 assists on 20 made FG's isn't good. The bench players today we're absolutely atrocious. Only 10 points in 60 minutes from bench players (TGF and Enaruna each had 5).

Just an ugly game all around.

What made us great against WV made us stink against UT. We didn't bring the hustle to play x-axis... so we lost to a team that is more athletic, more size... and we didn't make it a game x-axis vs y-axis because we didn't hustle. We were beat squarely in x-axis space. I'd like to see the shot chart on UT. Is there any place where they didn't score? right...

Self will use this to his advantage because it was a definite wake up call. With this type of play, we could be a team finishing 3 or 4... or 5th in the Big 12.

I'd like to blame it on the quality of UT... but I can't. I didn't even think UT played overwhelming basketball. Neither did anyone in the sports booth who kept saying UT should be up by more points.

Self has never been that kind of "cheerleader coach" who will get his troops all pumped up. We really needed a cheerleader today. Or maybe a cattle prod. Credit to Shaka for bringing his team ready.

Curious if we will take this game and go south for a while... or go north because we took it like a slap in the face?

Kudos to Wilson... who single-handedly stayed on the gas peddle! We would be toast without him and maybe he can start being a leader out there. We need leadership. It's part of that PG responsibility. I love Marcus to death... but we can't teach that in him.
