Just about a month until they have to decide.. What does everyone think?

Och - 3:1 odds he leaves

Wilson: 9:1 leaves

Wilson returns 90% confidence) Agbaji gone (70% confidence) .

Both stay 99%. Feel very strongly about this from what I've heard.

90% chance both return and the I’ll give the same odds that Remy is wearing Crimson and Blue next year as well!!

At this point, I really don't even care. The timeline to decide should never have been adjusted. But justs for shits and giggles, I say Wilson back Agbaji gone.

It's pretty important. Jalen is a crucial piece though I think it is telling that Bill didn't aggressively pursue another option for that spot.

Curry doesn't reopen his recruitment unless the staff was getting messages that Agbaji was leaning towards returning.

I'm also very curious what an Agbaji and Wilson return does to the line up because that affects several players. Yesufu seemed like he was a better fit as a 6th man, but we also know Self likes two capable ball handlers and JCL is not that because he's essentially an undersized 3 so would Self start him at the 2 over Yesufu?

Not his minutes, his roster spot. When JCL committed, that put KU at its scholarship limit. In order for Agbaji to return, someone who is committed for next season would have to play elsewhere, and since Curry was low man on the totem pole, he's kind of being forced out to make room for a potentially returning Agbaji.

If Agbaji does eventually decide to return to KU, which sounds like is pretty likely at this point, KU would have to make room for him because Self took JCL on the belief that Agbaji was gone.

I’ve always been under the impression Remy and Yesufu were going to start, JCL would play an Isaiah Moss type role. My dream was Marcus coming back to play the 2, but obviously his heart was set on the pro route. Remy and Marcus would’ve been a DIRTY backcourt.

I'm rolling with them both returning.

I think the education aspect ultimately is a reason Ochai comes back since he can get his degree which I was under the impression was important to him and his parents.

Wilson coming back is the best move for his basketball career.

Agbaji is the only question mark. ESPN has him going 59th, but that was right before the Combine scrimmages where Agbaji didn't really impress much. If he had assurances of a two way deal with someone, that would drastically increase the odds of Agbaji staying in the draft.

If Agbaji does return, I think KU would be the front runners for a national championship and Self could play Agbaji at the 4 spot like he did in 2019-20. That would mean KU's entire rotation is made up of players in at least their third season and that kind of experience would be priceless.

I don't care either way on Agbaji. At the combine, he is what he has always been. A guy who looks the part but just isn't.

I don't care any more. I don't like pro basketball.

I hope he comes back and takes what he's learned and helps us win a championship. Therefore helping him out the next year, which is also what the combine is for. He will also have his degree, or be close which I'm sure his parents will be happy about since that was important to them!

We will be finding out shortly on all 3. - -Can't believe it has been so quiet on Remy. - I think the longer Och doesn't say , just feels like the better chance of him staying in. - Just means it's a tough decision and Money speaks loud - -very loud - -whether it's NBA or making some money over Sea's

The most interesting thing I learned today about the combine was that Garza tested the worst of all attendees in both the standing vert jump and the sprint. Expected to go low 2nd round if at all.

Garza will be a situational match up player in the NBA. He'll have a lot of DNP's and spend time in the G-League to get in game reps, but he can score in the paint and can knock down a 3 if left unguarded. He's also a 70% FT shooter so he's not a liability there either.

He'll never be a star or even a full time starter, but Garza definitely has a place in the NBA, just not as prominent as he would've had 20 years ago. I honestly think Garza will end up having a better NBA career than Doke will.

The G-League does their combine before the NBA Combine and there's usually a few guys that get NBA Combine invites from the G-League one. Kofi Cockburn from Illinois was one of the bigger names at the G-League Combine.

I wouldn't have expected anything to happen prior to the combine. Post combine tends to be when a lot of that stuff happens, especially with somebody like Ochai who could've performed his way into the back end of the draft. We'll know either way in about a week what Ochai's decision is.

He didn't really do much to improve his stock

I will still take Agbaji's language in his letter to the fans as it sounded. Coming back would be a reversal of that language. Not going to presume to know what his decision is based on. Hope.

I just don't see it - -don't see him coming back. whether it's NBA or Overseas I just got this feel he is gone

In my opinion our most important player next season. Great news

@approxinfinity agree. He would not be able to improve his NBA chances by returning. In fact, his minutes are all but guaranteed to decrease. And then what would he do? Probably force things, hurting both himself and the team.

I think this is a tough choice for Agbaji. It's a "damn if you do, damn if you don't" and he will probably face some criticism from those who unfairly look for opportunities to bash him.

Ultimately, I think the sign for him would be if a team or teams give him a positive response now so he thinks he will be given a real shot if he's not selected.

I think if he has the right representation it may be to his advantage to not be selected at the end of the second round.

He is getting some floor time which should give him an idea of what the competition will be like moving forward. He should sense if he feels like he can compete and flourish in the near future.

I tend to agree with Marco and think he may not benefit much from returning. What he needs is personal coaching to lift his game to a higher level. He's already at a high fitness level.

I admire Ochai as a college basketball player. I doubt I'll ever admire him as a professional in the NBA. I hope he takes the Frank the Tank Kaminsky approach and realizes another year on a great college campus is way way better than a year on the bench in the NBA. I sincerely hope he's great in the NBA, or at least has a long career. But I really don't care that much how well our guys do in the pros. I want wins in Lawrence, not former Jayhawk stats in the league. May be a bit selfish of me, but, well it's just sports, it's what I want. I want 40 of them next season, no more, no less.

Well got to say I'm surprised more then not. Probably the not so well showing had a lot to do with him coming back. - -Now now are can you say it with me - -we are LOADED - -L- -O - -A - D - -E -D unbelievable depth.

Now we wait on Remy GOD I hope he comes. only thing is , IF Remy does show , then aren't we over the limit ? - - So much for Carr , that's ok -- I'm perfect with Oach coming back for sure Let's all hope we get Martin - -then - - LET THE GAMES BEGIN

ya I think let's think about this - - - - # 1 - - he is not projected in the draft - - - - # 2 - -he didn't get invited the the NBA Combine OR the G League elite camp , so you would think it would be a no brainer - -but you just never know

Remy Martin is Heading to Kansas

Welp guess just found out the Answer - -he is coming to KU - - THREE FOR THREE - - -sooooooo , - - -LET'S DO THIS

I looked up Remy Martin. Drinks for everyone, but at 50 bucks a bottle, very small drinks for everyone.

Loaded roster but I'm still concerned that there isn't a single player who shot 40% from 3. Hopefully, 2 or 3 guys can get going each game.

JCL was at 39.5%, so we're all but there. Och was at 37.7%, solid. Yesufu was at 38.4%. We have some shooters.

I expect having multiple ball-handling/play-making guards will help players like Agbaji and Braun who are more catch-and-shoot type guys.

Question , how many minutes do we think Cam gets to play ? - - I think we COULD seed him if conditions warrant I could see in some games 10-13 minutes a game behind Dave. - he is a Big that can stretch the floor , I think there might come sometimes in the year we need a guy like that who can stretch the floor pull opposing teams Big's out stretch the floor. - -I think he MIGHT just be like a little surprise player to some opposing teams. The big question with him is going to be - -can he defend at the P-5 level ? - -He defend D-2 but there is big difference. I still think he just might be a little more valuable through the year then some think - For sure can shoot from outside - going to be interesting with this roster , how some players pan out.

Cam makes Landen Lucas look like T-Rob athletically. Cam will only be able to play the 5 and against teams with bigs like Texas or USC last season, Cam will be nearly unplayable.

Cam is a guy that will have to be dependent on technique and positioning to be successful and that's something KU's bigs have traditionally been pretty strong at so he'll be a solid scorer and rebounder in his limited minutes, but it should be in the 10-13 range.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I think the same thing about Cam almost totally :hundred_points: except maybe if we are up by 10 Self can sacrifice defense (yeah right) and let Cam and the other 38% trey guns bomb away with the thought that 3>2. Believe it when i see it, but the option is there.
