Wow were the 16 games yesterday fun or what? Big KU win and some sweet upsets. 16 more games today. I'm hoping Tex Tech and Texas hold serve. And that Iowa St and TCU pull the upsets. I sure didn't think Creighton looked good for the first 30 minutes of their game.

Mar 18, 2022 01:09 PM #2

So, what did we learn yesterday?

  • The vaunted B1G lost 1/3 of their teams.
  • The Mountain West went 0-4 ( Shocker!). That conference only had 4 teams.
  • Tucky was pretty sucky. Delightful and refreshing!
  • KU has a pretty damn good team.

Can you say KU has a pretty good team again please - shout it out - -tell em big boy let the World know - - KU has a pretty dam good team. lol. - - Seriously having Remy healthy mains a butt load - -whole different ball game when Remy is healthy - mercy he looked sweet last night - -some of those passes - - -MERCY- Juan playing well, & if we can keep Christan in a more aggressive mode quit turning down shots we gonna be ok.

The door hs been opened and if we stay focused and play smart - -still need to tighten up the ball handling STILL to many TO's - - Wonder how Lexington is today or if they burned it down last night. - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Thank you Rex Chapman, for reminding me that, no matter how unable to disguise their bitterness, the K-State talking heads are reporting on a K-State loss, a Kentucky commentator is far, far less able to be professional.

From RockChalkTalk:
One of my favorite stats: When Bill Self took over, Kansas was 43 games behind Kentucky on the all-time wins list. And Kentucky has done a LOT of winning in the last 19 years. Bill Self has still closed that gap from 43 to 1, with the chance to even it tomorrow. twitter.com/mctait/status/…

Kofi doesn’t seem to have the needed energy. I assume it takes a while for big guys to gain enough muscle and endurance. He’ll probably go pro this year?

Mar 19, 2022 12:29 AM #54

ISU does play good defense - very active, swarming. Matched by a putrid offense.

Mar 19, 2022 12:55 AM #60

KU Women looking very good tonight with a 14 point lead with a little over 2 minutes left.

Mar 19, 2022 01:02 AM #61

KU women are moving on with a 77-58 win over Georgia Tech. Most likely going to play one of the title favorites in Stanford on Sunday.

Mar 19, 2022 01:05 AM #62

@DCHawker Really wish the best for Silvio going forward. He didn't look 6'8" in the paint against the Illini. Tough loss for the Mocs.

Mar 19, 2022 01:16 AM #63

Mar 19, 2022 02:08 AM #78

I actually believe this , I believe our Big 12 teams have benefited from beating one another up this year. So many really tough defensive teams in the league this year the fact is we are use to this year playing against really rugged aggressive defensive teams so in reality we have seen this kind of defense all year long. Don't think we are gonna face any better. -The teams have benefited from playing these tough teams all year and it's showing. - - Just a thought

Unquestionably, it's a great start. Dominated lower seeded teams and one upset over a higher seeded team. But, it's just the first round. To validate the strength of the conference, we need multiple team to advance to at least next weekend. Would love to see 3 teams in the Elite 8.

KU has a clear path to the Final Four. If Baylor can beat UNC today, then the same for them. I think TTU is the kind of team that can take down Duke. And, although they've already lost to Gonzaga, they held them in pretty good check and were without Shannon, and are playing better now. TCU could give AZ a good game.

Mar 19, 2022 06:16 PM #126

Teams are waiting way too long to start a play at the end of halves. Waiting until 5 seconds isn’t going to get you anything. Plus no time for a drive and foul or a put back on a miss.
