6.5 underdogs again. What's it take to get a little respect for a home game opponent. Coach Leipold is going to have to do better to win this game; better play calling and better game management. Loosen the reins on QB Daniels. Let Daniels look to pass on first down, then pull it down and run if nothing is open or Neal can be the check down like NFL QBs use. Daniels is passing well and our receivers are doing great. KU is at its best when the offensive accelerator is to the metal. I sure hope the TCU offense that pummeled OU doesn't find the same success this Saturday.

Just be aggressive this week.

It was nice to see the defense win one for us when we needed it. But let’s get back to our regularly scheduled program of JD being the most electric QB in CFB. Race to 45.

See I'm wondering if it was a lot of play calling or not. - -They had a spy on Daniels , & I think a lot of that was Jalen trying to make the correct read on what they were giving him. I mean I could be wrong , I could be wrong very easily - have been before.

I for one think that our offense will return now what degree not sure but I don't think it will be like Iowa St , TCU defense is decent , to fairly good BUT they do not have an Iowa State defense. Like I mentioned before Iowa St defense is ranked sa the # 1 defense in the Big 12 - - Total - - Pass -- & Run - - K/State has the leagues 2nd best.

I think were gonna move the ball might very well be a track meet. - Dugan has killed KU when we have played them , just got to limit the bomb , breakout plays. I think our defense is getting better believe it or not Yes teams have had success moving the ball, but like was brought up on our local sports podcast- -Ku has managed to have teams settle for field goals at times lately tough up closer to the goal.

Just another case where the guys need to 12th man to help out in key moments - -let them know that YES KU does play football - - - - - - getting stoked ready to go

Jalen has the highest QBR rating in the Entire FBS ratings at 95.6 - -I can live with that

I unfortunately like TCU to cover. Bad matchup for us given their strength is speed on the outside and that is not what we have on defense.

I saw what TCU did to OU, but I'm going to keep picking the good guys until we drop one. 34-31

That said, TCU looks like the 1st or 2nd best team in the B12 depending on how you feel about Oklahoma St

Funny creatures - cry blood. Have a diet of ants. Pretty cool. One of my interns caught one and kept it for a few weeks. The he accidentally overfed it while he was making his own meal and the ants killed the horny toad.

Last week's offensive funk has carried over to today's game. Except for the one 99 yd drive, the defense has been great.

Well, that went South pretty quickly. Eff. Could have taken the lead, but instead a series of mistakes and bad decisions now sends us spiraling.
Bad decisions started with the goal line turnover. Then Daniels refused to throw it away and got drilled.
Crap.

1-5 3rd down conversions and the fumble on the goal line sum up KU's inept half. But, our defense has at least kept us in the game.

On a positive note, that TE catch down the middle of the field was remarkable. Never seen anybody turn their body like that.

Wouldn't be surprised if Daniels doesn't have a shoulder sprain

respectable loss.
hate to say it though.
we had our chances, and lost our best player.
TCU receivers really made some incredible catches.
Missed tackles could have saved us from big gains here and there.
Bean was good, and had a few bads.
My biggest nitpick...there was some crappy play calling in the red zone by Lance L.

KU made some mistakes, but kids fought hard.

Kudos to Bean, while he made couple of key mistakes, not enough practice reps, he still had a solid game.

Only got to hear the game, but I'll check the replay later. Sounds like the refs decided to keep the flags in their pockets at the worst possible time.

Hope we can correct the mistakes especially penalties down the stretch cost KU.

TCU played mostly a clean game.

I was impressed by their QB and receivers.

Their D is also extremely physical.

Self inflicted mistakes today cost KU more than the refs did. The goal line fumble ended up being a 14 point swing, the missed FG. Borcila is terrible from the right hash, seems like everything he kicks from there he hooks it left. Bean not having great touch on his passes with his interception and overthrowing Neal for what would have been a likely tying TD.

The ref absolutely should've called holding on that 4th down play as the DB had Arnold's jersey as Arnold broke in, but KU had too many self inflicted mistakes today to overcome missed calls by the refs.

One way to look for positives out of this. - -Look at it this way TCU had 454 yards of offense today against us for the game. - - TCU had 471 yards of offense in the 1st half against Oklahoma

We would have won the game if not for the costly penalties and goal line fumble

I’m impressed with the response to adversity.

Barring any more unforseen injuries, we will get another win and be bowl eligible. That would be good for this team and great for the program.

Tough game. Jayhawks need to get bowl eligible against OU. Nice to see the stadium full. Do we really need the beer garden? Now that we have fans in the stands, I'd prefer to see the bowl full and not have the big gap behind the double decker bar.

What a day! Bummer. Our family of 8 made it thru. Great tailgate and weather. Bad fumble and questionable calls! Our toddler fell asleep during 3rd quarter.😳 traffic was awful. I want to go again!

We also saw why Daniels beat out Bean for the QB. Bean doesn't have great touch his passes. As great as that Fairchild catch was, Bean put it in a bad spot. Also on that dump off to Neal where he was wide open on that last drive, Daniels likely makes that throw. Bean is a great option for a back up, but we also saw why he was the back up yesterday with his accuracy on his passes.

On another positive note, KU is still ranked in the top 20 in both polls which means a lot of people watched and saw KU go toe to toe with potentially the best team in the Big 12 with a back up QB. KU fell to 20th in the coaches poll and remained 19th in the AP poll.

Exactly, well put. I was going to make the same point right after the game, but abandoned a poorly worded draft because I didn't want to come across negatively toward Bean. He stepped in and was fantastic. But starting QB is Daniels' job if he's healthy. Sure hope he isn't out long. We are quite fortunate to have such a strong backup, but there is a difference.

I'm sure Jason will be quite adequate as the starter in these games. - -The OU fans are in a stew anyways and helped us to remember it was Mr Bean that was really quite close to beating OU'S ASS LAST YEAR , and OU was for sure better last year. - -They worried about Jason saying he was the one who about beat that ass in Lawrence. Nothing we can do about Jason so we roll with what we got

OU fans thinks the team has quit on their game this year. - -As for me I look for Oklahoma to come out all fired up . I think they will be out to prove they not done - -but I'm ready to roll with Jason - - what else can you do - -just back the guy , let him know we behind him that's all
