Amaker played in the game where the K whistle first appeared, the 86 final four against arguably the best KU team ever with Danny and Kellogg and Thompson, and Dreiling and Hunter and a bunch of other pieces like Turg and Piper. But when 3 starters have 5 fouls one other 4 and no Duke player had more than 3, well the cards were stacked against us.

Did u hear Fran's kid was on the coaching staff? But! He didn't help him at all!

@RockChalkinTexas Till last week I was an Udeh guy. Now I'm for either one, of course. 2008 we had four stud bigs. Jaybate loved the committee and I did too (especially when Aldrich came off the bench and owned Psycho T). All those fouls to spare. Seems like we could be there by the end of the season what with Zuby, Udeh, Clements, and Adams. Not Self's ideal tho.

Well, that seemed like the usual lackluster night before Christmas break game.

Jalen was asleep at the wheel. When that happens, other guys have to step up.

the way Harvard bumped us off the 3 pt line, it was time for our 5 man center rotation to step up. KJ was respectable. Seemed like a game where 23 and 35 could build on their growng confidence. But Self’s game plan obviously didn’t include them. Curious. Or did they just make mental mistakes in their 2 minutes of play?

McCullar filled some of the scoring void. That’s good. Hey, Self gave Rice some run! More!

Yea, in the few interviews I’ve seen with him, he’s said all the right things and seems put together.

This game was only close because KU couldn't make perimeter shots. Harvard had a good sound defensive strategy that worked well because KU continued to miss. They gave up only 54 points so hard to blame the defense too much. Good to see them find a way to win when they don't play that great

Yeah there are definitely sites that track this. At least 3-5 of those shots that were missed were shots KU normally knocks down, especially at home

Shot Quality is one of them. It's a bit silly of course, they said Illinois should have won that game against Missouri. It's also a paid service I think so the only ones easily seen are when they post stuff to their twitter.

Also a tifwiw but Shot Quality loves KU this year. Top 5 along with UConn, Tennessee, Purdue and UCLA.

That's because Fran the man told us 50 times the weren't guarding the perimeter except for gradey!

This team has a tremendous amount of momentum going into conference. Since that loss, we have won every game by an average margin of 24.4 ppg. I think we're built to win. The floor in conference is 14-4.
