He had a big impact on the sport. Positive and negative.

WOW , just sad. ---Controversial but I still kinda liked him -- he pulled n punch's told it like it was. - -I remember the chair throwing- -mercy. - Whether you wanna admit it or not he will be missed. Says lengthy illness - -wonder waht it was ?

RIP to a legend, was not my cup of tea but his legacy will certainly carry on in the fabric of the sport.

I used to work with a lady whose son was a 4 year starter for Knight in the mid 80's and played pro basketball internationally after graduation. If you ever wanted to get your a$$ ripped, talk smack about Bobby Knight around her.

She was VERY adamant that he was the best guy ever. She was a tough love advocate and always felt that his love for the players was overshadowed by the public opinion of his detractors.

When Indiana dismissed Knight, her son basically disowned the University. He loved Knight as much as his mom did.

I personally was a huge Knight fan and am sad to see him pass.
