Might as well man up and take this by the reigns and chat our way to a big win over the Wolfpack of NCState. Easily the most likeable of the Triangle area teams they finally earned a P5 win the other day by beating FState. Otherwise, they're 0-3 against other decent teams and beat up on teams like Presbyterian, William and his wife Mary, and other directional minor minors.

Of course our team is a hot mess and predictions of doom and gloom are in the room. Hunter soft, DaJuan shoulda retired after 2022, KJ has lost interest, Storr and Rylen are scared to screw up, flory too raw, Mayo regressing to mid major self and we all need Shaq to solve our woes. About sums it up but I think we still win by about a dime, 74-64 as AFH's 16,300 cheer them....uh, shoot, what is it now? 15,000? IDK, but it really should still be 16,300 because they'd still sell that many if they were available.

Just looked at Stubhub and you could get in for 26 bucks. Boy, if I start driving now....

There’s some reality to the hyperbole here. The Jayhawks aren’t prone to three game losing streaks.

And I’ve honestly never heard so many people (including me) question Bill Self before.

So whether it’s Self or his players not playing up to snuff, one of those two things has to change. They may be hand in hand.

I’m honestly not even sure any more what lineup I’d put out there. Is it hard to argue for Storr to start given what’s he’s shown us so far? Put him out there because he has the most positive potential?

I'm so confused right now. I have heard valid points from both ways. I was listening to a KU podcast yesterday, and they brought up some very good points.

One of the first points brought out and have to agree -- - - KJ Adams, I think everybody loves KJ , how hard he plays and guards but we just can't have KJ on the floor for 30 plus minutes, not with Hunter. He can't or just doesn't rebound , he has no shot , more of a liability.

They posed this question -- -good question and that was-- Is Coach Self a good fit with the portal ? - -Now they said for sure he can hit it ard , recruit it well BUT is the players he get fit the KU System ?- -They made the point that It's on Coach Self with these guys because he knew what kind of a player when they recruited them.

They talked about How Coach Self hs gotten these kids so shell shocked, they have lost all confidence , instead of Coach allowing them to play through their mistakes, they are so worried about being yanked. - -Self say you don't know what I want from you - - -then you can just sit over here on the bench till you get it figured out.

He knew what type of player he was getting with AJ , saying AJ is attacking, Talking about AJ shooting 4 free throws a game last yeat , vut only like 1.5 this year - - -- ATTACK drive the ball.

They talk about how we heard how things were going to be different more like 4 out one in- -and what do we have right now ?- - -- -was going to be a different approach - -yet this year KU KU's offense, they are only averaging 27 % at shooting three's- - that ranks 287th in the Nation attempting a three.- -While at two point shot attempts we are 5th in the nation attempting a two point shot.

Crazy thing to is - -I didn't know is KU is the Most experienced team in the Nation- the average experience age for KU is 3- --1/2 years - -The National average right now is a 1 - -1/2,

They also brought up that KU had tried Seven different combinations of lineups ---- you know how many of those Seven is that started KJ - -Juan -& Hunter - - ALL SEVEN--- they said that in the end Coach Self is a guy that is going to have on the floor who he trusts most , and that is KJ - -Hunter -& Juan- - They said you are not going to gain Coach Self's trust on the offensive end - I just don't quite know what to think.- -They also said too that just because KU is playing at home today just don't automatically think KU's problem is going to go away and they are coming out guns a blaze and the problems are over -- this team has work to do

Scoring is about confidence defense is about effort. Both ends need a good system. Who seems unafraid to shoot? Storrs Juan, Coit and Hunter and our walk on's.

I guess no one else dares to predict the score because they know my prognostication can't be beat.

In theory, there's two versions of KU's best offensive line up. One with KJ and one without KJ. With KJ, Dejuan, Mayo/Coit, Griffen, and Dickinson. The one without Adams would be Storr in his place. Griffen, Mayo, and Coit can space the floor which allows Harris to drive and do his thing on offense.

Storr isn't as effective this season because there's not the space for him to drive. It could work if Dickinson at the top of the key setting a screen for Storr.

I think it's going to be very difficult for that spot to be filled this late. All these 5-7 schools have moved along with their offseason expecting not to bowl. So players left either to the portal or to prep for the NFL draft already.

I think it’s hard to gauge us at home with how bad we have played on the road the last few years 3-10 in our last 13 tries. But I think we played too selfish the last two games. The ball movement was night and day better today

Thinking you need to get the ball inside to open up the rest of the offense isn’t what great college teams or nba teams do anymore as they figured out more efficient ways to score

Well, we won the North Carolina state championship, but I'm not sure that is worth much. The SEC was 27-3 against the ACC coming into today. Other than Duke, the ACC is wholly bereft of any quality wins and many, many non-conf losses...

The encouraging signs:

— we made some shots!

— we were more aggressive driving the ball.

— we seemed active for a lot of the game.

— we got Hunter involved. This is a must every game.

— Shaq sighting!

The discouraging signs:

— don’t look at the team FT stats. Despite more active driving, we barely got to the line. NC State had a zillion more attempts. Wtf?

— Hunter pulled another Hunter.

— AJ and Rylan live on another planet. Rylan had a few bright moments. But These guys need to get a clue, quickly.

— How many minutes did Harris play? (Lots)

Chiefs and KU are the worst teams with their records ever. Everyone would like the Chiefs more if they had two more losses along with PM getting another 100 yds per game if we just blew out the ones we beat. Losses don't matter as much as gaudy stats achieved in blowouts. KU has a shitty coach who has lost the locker room because there is no other possiblity for disappointing performances by top flight transfers and losing 2 upsets.

Man, I wish I liked drinking more so I could become blind drunk and forget the doonsday crap flying before and after every game!
