We might be sitting this one out a while. Not sure why U of I/Misery is going so slowly. But this is a Brown team that has one decent result beating Rhode Island by 4. But that's their stiffest competition this year and that's not very stiff TBH. Brown has generally beaten who is on the schedule against them however.

Strange time of the year. A rest before the Big 12 gauntlet to come. Hope no one ends up in the training room with some newfound injury. Work on what needs worked on.

Only two turnovers. We haven't jelled yet and with only three players who score double figures there is plenty of room for guys like Moore, Storr and Griffen to push us up into a reliable offensive force. Hunt and KJ not asserting themselves enough.

It can be hard to motivate right before Xmas holiday especially against an inferior opponent

Mayo leads my most surprising Jayhawk of the year award by far. I really didn't think someone this talented and grew up in Lawrence would be allowed out of town....unless Self told him to go somewhere else for a couple of years and learn how to play the game.

I think Zeke is making the transition to higher level ball pretty well, been stroking the ball and rebounding pretty well especially these last couple of games,-v--I also thinking might be just me but think AJ played a little better, slowly seeing some signs of better. -Aj with 20 minutes today -- - Hunter 24 , Juan 24, Rylan 16 -- Coit 17 , Moore 14, working his way in

Actually I would like to see a little deeper bench this year like he has been working on. Like to see nine deep, think Juan better with fresher legs - -give hunter more rest if possible. - -I just think we might be able to have a nice rotation with these guys - -something we sure didn't have last year

Made it home to the motherland for this one. Better atmosphere than I expected for a Sunday afternoon game during the holiday break. Always nice to see KU play well in this game before Christmas when they've had a history of laying an egg in this game. Hopefully Rylan's not out long term.

I took the kids to see Sonic 3 so I only got to see the last 5 minutes. Went about like I expected

Liking to see our bench scoring. I was looking at the top 15 ranked teams or so and finding a lot of teams with 4 or 5 double figure scorers. It was close enough for us today with Hunt, Zeke and KJ along with AJ/9, Flory/8, Griffen/7 and Shak/6. That's real support. All the ranked teams today scored 80 plus and my blood pressure readings look much better.
So on to Huggyless WVU who gives us fits in Morgantown but not so much in PHOG. Yesufu while playing 12 min a game hits 40% from deep. Get a win is better than starting the 20 game conference season in the hole.

For once I wasn’t mad seeing Juan not do much as this seemed like a “defer and get others confidence game”

Did we run any 4 guard lineups or did Bill see that worked but crap on it like he did in the press conference and is sworn to never go back? Wonder how he can’t see that even if the defense is slightly worse the offensive efficiency is so much higher….wonder if he and the staff even look at that sort of data

@kuballin10 There was almost 3 minutes from 10:24 to 7:40 in the 2nd half where 4 guards played around a big. 1st was Shakeel, Juan, Coit, and Kease with Flory. During this time, Flory dunked, Juan had a steal, and Kease had a shooting foul missing the 1st one. No shots made by Brown. At 9:39, Zeke came in for Shakeel. During this time, Kease made the 2nd foul shot, Flory had a defensive rebound, Zeke made 2 pt shot and missed a 3 pointer. Flory fouled opponent that made the basket, but missed the and 1. The FT shooter rebounded the missed FT and then another Brown player shot and rebounded three more times with a 2 pointer basket on the 4th try with Self calling a timeout. At the 8:11 mark, Hunt came in for Flory. Zeke missed a 2 point shot and there was an offensive rebound. At 7:40, KJ came in for Kease.

So I have a question, and need people to be really honest. -I've heard mentioned a couple of times talking about the Big twelve this Season and still saying that the Big Twelve was the best conference in the Nation this year. -- -Now honestly how many people actually believe that the Big Twelve is the best Basket ball conference this year ?- I just can't agree - - not this year, true we have been but not this year, and I can't actually believe people can believe that - -where is the proof?

I think for THIS YEAR anyways that yes the SEC is the better Conference, the league is brutal.- -Yet I wanna hear how many here actually believe that we are still the best Conference , cause I haven't seen it-- Sooo speak up what do you say ?
