C. We just played well vs. OK State. We have been unable to string back to back good performances together.

Colorado is bad. But so was Utah...

I'd say I was very worried about this game if my level of investment in this team was that of a normal KU mens basketball season. But unfortunately while I will likely watch the first half before falling asleep, my level of caring about this team is still pretty low as I've grown to expect nothing from them.

Even if they win this one, I think I will need at least one more before I let myself feel ANY hope for this team in March.

@benshawks08 I won't know until tomorrow morning. There's no way in H.E. Double Hockeysticks I'm staying up past midnight to find out.

@Crimsonorblue22 You look forward to us losing? Lol. I know that's not what your saying. To be clear I am still 100% cheering for my jayhawks every chance I get. Just had to adjust my own expectations a bit this year. Hoping they are moving into the underpromise/overdeliver territory now.

Maybe this was all just Bill Self's way to get his team peaking at the right time! (See there I go hoping again...)

I do look at this game like the Utah game. They are bad. Utah, we at least had a chance until the last minute and could have and certainly should have won, so I'm calling for a close game again and no predictions beyond that.

Ya Colorado is bad , howeve they just got through beating Baylor which I need remind what happened with us and Baylor.- Just in case does the name Wright ring a bell to you lol.

We haven't strung to games from wire to wire of really solid play yet I still have faith, I think we might just pull this out by 6-7 points

We'll find out tonight if the OSU game was a one off or this team turning the corner to make a run.

I just want to see them come out and play with energy tonight.

And sadly we dropped out of the Top 25 today.

Maybe that will provide some motivation for the game tonight.

I think Self has it figured out. If we come out of the blocks slow... we are toast because this team is not good at responding in the middle of a game.

The key is to come out with big energy!

I’ll prob check the score a few times before I fall asleep but I get up at 5 for work so im not gonna stay up and watch all of it. Maybe as @Crimsonorblue22 says I’m not a true fan anymore this will be the third game I’ve missed this season which is more than I ever have watching for 30 years. But the other side of the coin is when you put forth the minimum amount effort that they seem to so often this season it’s more of an issue with them and not me IMO.

I'm not a true fan because Saturday I didn't even know we were playing, and stopped watching the blowout against BYU.

I think its a close one but we pull it out. Better mojo last game. I do not believe that Hunter isnt capable of lateral movement @drgnslayr as he showed some heart and hustle last game that we hadnt seen in a long time, i thought. I am curious though if he pays for it in the morning.

In the literal sense of the word fanatic, ie singleminded zeal, I think your self assessments are correct. Personally Im pretty happy with the mix of personalities that cohabitate the ‘buckets.

( I’m putting myself in it too, because my wife and I have turned off the recent games before the half.. it’s PAINFUL to watch for sure )

@Bosthawk I hope I have a good reason to turn it off at the half tonight! Worst case of course is to have little hope at halftime and turn it off and we'll really meltdown. Medium case is barely win, at least reward staying up, medium worst case is compete but lose thus sacrificing sleep and a loss.

We just compound mental errors. what could have been a 10+ point lead is down to five.

Harris for no reason at all drives into a dozen guys in the lane and throws it away. Zero reason to try that. Know the clock and score.

Zeke COMPLETELY forgets to play anything remotely close to defense and we give up a simple baseline bucket.

Know the score! Know the game! Play smart!

Well we are now 2 - 0 in the New Season. Going to be a HUGE CHALLENGE , Saturday with Tech. Now don't laugh but I really do believe we have a better then Average chance in 2-3 of these remaining games --Tech , and Arizona---I actually think Arizona is the most winnable of the three.-- As far as the Houston game--- well umm

Really doesn't matter how much we win by ,a long a it's a win- no difference if w win by 20-- or 2 Still gets us the W either way

@SlimShaddy54 Allen field house is very friendly so I think we’ve got a good shot at 2-1 as well. I don’t think 3-0 is actually impossible. I’d be more surprised by 0-3 than 3-0 at this point.
