So… if we are going to hire a GM why havent we done it already? By the time we do it will be too late to have any effect this year. Could have had the leads warmed up 2 months ago.
The GM wouldn’t be a scouting/roster building role. It would be more managing NIL and fundraising

Which is a good thing, because it takes some stuff off of Bill's plate. I know you aren't saying it negatively but some people are going to be disappointed by it.
Ok. Thanks guys… do you feel the absence of a GM will put us at a competitive disadvantage this off season? Do we have enough cabbage to field the roster we want?
Asking prices are out of control this cycle so yeah... Unless your program has a blank check I think you have to assume there is some disadvantage without someone in the program to manage NIL side/fundraising.
No disrespect intended I genuinely think they need a GM and someone to help with scouting. The last few recruiting classes are bad…too many misses

Without any semblance of transparency in this new NIL era, these questions are impossible to answer.
For any public institution, all $$$ transactions should be recorded for all to see.
Who knows, maybe Self and Co. are brilliant money managers.
