He needs to go. Fining Leipold for truthfully stating that a pocket knife was thrown onto the field is an unacceptable form of censorship and corruption.

No. It has now been confirmed by police that a pocket knife has been found on the field.

It wasn't thrown from the stands or hit a coach. A player picked it up near the field and gave it to coach.

In my view, a video of someone handing a knife to someone else does nothing to disprove that the knife was thrown. Anyways, even if Leipold did lie about where the knife landed, the essence of the claim was that it was thrown, which is 100% true. Lance should not have been fined.

I wish it wasn’t true, but lance said it hit a coach.

Hoping somebody told him that and he didn’t make it up.

If the knife is Swiss it will probably be deported now.

Big difference between lying and just being wrong based on incorrect info.

If no coach got hit, Lance must, uh, quit…

@approxinfinity maybe a coach told him he got hit or another coach got hit. I’m sure our AD knows the truth.

I had read that it could have been a groundskeeper or one of the workers that may have inadvertently dropped it prior to the game. I had also read that it could have been a trainer’s pocketknife that was used to cut tape and had been accidentally left there. The owner of the pocketknife most likely came forward and that is how it was known that it was not thrown.

@patoh3 But then again, it could have been that a portal opened up briefly enough to drop the pocketknife by an invisible Bigfoot that saw all the big football players and wondered if they were family.

The good thing is Lance is still here so he can work past it. Way better than some past lies told - I will be the next great KU center. lol. I don’t give a damn about the North Carolina job - you can’t recover from making stuff up when you run away too. Now to see Lance’s character when caught in a lie/misunderstanding. How does he handle it? Does he accept responsibility or just ignore it and hope it goes away? What example will Lance set for those young men?

Ha. Who knows! The whole thing is crazy. That video doesn’t really show me anything. Maybe we’ll have to read Lance’s memoir someday when he retires for the true story. If there is a story.

Lance wasn’t on Hawk Talk this week.
