So I noticed we can downvote posts now. This site is going to start getting nasty. Just for an experiment someone downvote this post and I want to see if my notifications will tell me who downvoted this.

Ok, good it doesn't show up on my notifications as to who downvoted me. That could be a little divisive among our friends here!

Wonder if someone down votes you and another up votes you if it just changes back? Don't think it will show 1. Up, 1 down.
@Crimsonorblue22 @wissoxfan83 Yeah, I think it's a bad option. To me, if you don't agree with something, spell it out. Don't anonymously click on a down arrow.
@approxinfinity You know we all greatly appreciate what you've done here for us, but may we put this to a vote?
The problem is it counts up and down to give a net result. Maybe it needs to be in absolute value. :-)
I'm not a downvote fan either. There's enough negativity in this world (hey, I'm an old hippie.......). I figure no comment is the same as a downvote and it doesn't make the "votee" feel bad.
@approxinfinity Shoot you removed it before I had a chance to give @jaybate-1.0 a downvote. Was really looking forward to that.
I know a guy who got too many downvotes on Yahoo and his wife gave him the ultimate downvote, left him for some dude, I think it was @drgnslayr, who always got upvotes. (no harm, no malice Dragon!)
@approxinfinity Hey-- just saw realized that when I made the update and reverted back to the original theme, it caused this problem with the down vote feature! Sorry everyone! This is the problem with even the playful tweaks.. Hopefully next time I will have this down to a science.

Is there a way to keep seperate tally's for up and down votes? I'm not totally opposed to down votes but I think they should be kept separate and should be transparent who did the downvoting...

@jaybate-1.0 You're huffing and puffing because you've written 2100 posts. And as half of your posts are of the epic length and substance (LSA) variety, I'd have to say I don't know many 20 year olds that could sustain that. With near daily PHOF material I'd say you're one of our MUAs. I don't buy the old guy act; youth is a state of mind, and you live smack dab in the middle of it.
