@bskeet who's guarding forte? Nash?

Jan 13, 2015 11:51 PM #3

@Crimsonorblue22 i'll guard him...

Jan 13, 2015 11:56 PM #4

@KUSTEVE for the team!!!

Jan 14, 2015 12:04 AM #5

Anyone here?

Jan 14, 2015 12:12 AM #6

Yes. Perry.....turnover machine.

Jan 14, 2015 12:12 AM #7

@Hawk8086

Whats up with this young man?

Jan 14, 2015 12:14 AM #8

Oh guys. Come on

Jan 14, 2015 12:15 AM #9

Perry 4 to's

Jan 14, 2015 12:16 AM #10

I know. Geez. I keep thinking he has to snap out of this funk

Jan 14, 2015 12:16 AM #11

I'm here until game time or dinner is ready... whichever happens first!

I'm bad at the online real time chats because when something goes wrong, I don't want to filter my outbursts! ha!

Jan 14, 2015 12:18 AM #12

I have to admit that between my wife and I... Perry gets the most verbal abuse during a game. We both despise soft play. I don't like to call Perry names... but my wife calls him a wuss.

Jan 14, 2015 12:18 AM #13

Haha

Jan 14, 2015 12:18 AM #14

I'm just glad he can't hear me in my living room.

Jan 14, 2015 12:19 AM #15

Sometimes i wish he could here me....

Jan 14, 2015 12:19 AM #16

Wow!!

Jan 14, 2015 12:20 AM #17

Damn

Jan 14, 2015 12:20 AM #18

I wish he could hear us. I wish there was a way to wake him up into being the player he is capable of being.

But... there have been some good moments this season, and all we can do is hope he has more of those moments where he is pushing hard.

Jan 14, 2015 12:21 AM #19

?????!!!

BS Technical foul

Jan 14, 2015 12:21 AM #20

I'm an old guy. I'd love to have another crack at my youth and basketball.

Perry is right there... real time... and I hate to see him tarnish his future.

He doesn't have to be a tweener. He's a tweener because he plays soft.

Charles Barkley was shorter, and he wasn't a tweener.

Jan 14, 2015 12:22 AM #21

@bskeet

No joke

Jan 14, 2015 12:23 AM #22

MASON

Jan 14, 2015 12:26 AM #23

In the middle of the fight a game broke out...

Jan 14, 2015 12:27 AM #24

too true

always the retaliation that gets called.. Nash is easy prey.

The game is on the edge of being beyond chippy.. Not sure what the next level is called.. Maybe 'choppy'

Jan 14, 2015 12:27 AM #25

No love lost between these two teams...

Jan 14, 2015 12:30 AM #26

They arent even gonna have a ball when we go to a stillwater. :)

Jan 14, 2015 12:34 AM #27

Air ball

Jan 14, 2015 12:35 AM #28

3 T's so far.....wow. Dumb. We've cost ourselves too many points.

Jan 14, 2015 12:38 AM #29

Forte a great salesman

Jan 14, 2015 12:43 AM #30

Didnt need to let up that 3. Had em on their heels here

Jan 14, 2015 12:44 AM #31

Think Selden forgot who he was guarding

Jan 14, 2015 12:45 AM #32

Even perrys free throws arent looking good. Used to be able to count him getting then at the line for the most part

Jan 14, 2015 12:51 AM #33

Free throws....

Jan 14, 2015 12:57 AM #34

Right. Free throws are killing us.
Also, Greene's 3 attempt was not in rhythm....looked like he just felt like he needed to put one up....came out after that.

Jan 14, 2015 12:58 AM #35

@Hawk8086
Agreed

Jan 14, 2015 12:58 AM #36

Forte at the line all night

Jan 14, 2015 01:02 AM #37

At least the base line jumper that Perry missed looked good......

Jan 14, 2015 01:02 AM #38

Making very bad use of the double bonus last 7 minutes....

Jan 14, 2015 01:07 AM #39

4 pt halftime lead. Feels like it should be more. If we hit a better ft% and don't give them 4 pts on T's we would have the lead it feels like we should.

Jan 14, 2015 01:11 AM #40

Mari should be rested!! Regroup, ugly game

Jan 14, 2015 01:12 AM #41

Wv up 13 on ou

Jan 14, 2015 01:13 AM #42

@Crimsonorblue22
Will he see the floor again tonight?

Jan 14, 2015 01:15 AM #43

Yes!

Jan 14, 2015 01:17 AM #44

We will need his energy

Jan 14, 2015 01:17 AM #45

Oh, I think he'll play in the 2nd half.

Jan 14, 2015 01:20 AM #46

Sitting Jamari It was Coach Self's way of telling him that he made a bad decision in a close game. He will play in te second half.

Jan 14, 2015 01:21 AM #47

Darn, I thought we played tomorrow night. What's been happening besides Cliff's big jam?

Jan 14, 2015 01:21 AM #48

@brooksmd
Lots of missed fts so far

Jan 14, 2015 01:22 AM #49

@Crimsonorblue22 I think that ISU victory at WVU will look bigger and bigger as the season goes on.

Jan 14, 2015 01:22 AM #50

@cragarhawk Expected.

Jan 14, 2015 01:22 AM #51

@Hawk8086 truth

Jan 14, 2015 01:23 AM #52

From the looks of the stats Frank is carrying the team again. Selden, Ellis have taken a break again.

Jan 14, 2015 01:25 AM #53

I will say Ellis atleast appears to me to be hustling hard. Just shots not falling. And some early turnovers

Jan 14, 2015 01:28 AM #54

Mari called for reach in but no foul called when he was shoved out under our basket.

Jan 14, 2015 01:32 AM #55

Alright guys, foot to the throat now grind it.

Jan 14, 2015 01:35 AM #56

Have they kept Forte in check?

Jan 14, 2015 01:35 AM #57

@brooksmd don't ask!!

Jan 14, 2015 01:36 AM #58

@Crimsonorblue22 Why didn't you call me and remind me the game was tonight and not tomorrow?

Jan 14, 2015 01:39 AM #59

@brooksmd next one

Jan 14, 2015 01:41 AM #60

Good thing we haven't sent them to the line as many times as they have us.

Jan 14, 2015 01:42 AM #61

@RedRooster Slow down, you're gonna wear yourself out.

Jan 14, 2015 01:42 AM #62

You need to watch replay of first half.

Jan 14, 2015 01:44 AM #63

Weak foul

Jan 14, 2015 01:44 AM #64

@Crimsonorblue22 I'll catch it on ESPN3 afterwards. Geez, they started the half pretty good but gone down hill since then.

Jan 14, 2015 01:48 AM #65

This might be as ugly as last year! I'll be up all pm!!!

Jan 14, 2015 01:48 AM #66

Sloppy play is killing us. Bad look by Mason led to a foul by Devonte and 2 fts for Nash.

Jan 14, 2015 01:49 AM #67

@brooksmd technicals on Nash Mari and Cliff first half

Jan 14, 2015 01:49 AM #68

@Crimsonorblue22 Same time?

Jan 14, 2015 01:50 AM #69

Well hopefully they can hang on to this one.

Jan 14, 2015 01:53 AM #70

Mari hurt?

Jan 14, 2015 01:53 AM #71

Does Lucas not have any hops?

Jan 14, 2015 01:53 AM #72

OSU has thrown a lot of players to foul and make it a dirty game. 11 OSU players with 2 or more fouls.

Jan 14, 2015 01:54 AM #73

@Crimsonorblue22 He's on the floor.

Jan 14, 2015 01:54 AM #74

@brooksmd Nash and Mari's were, Cliff flexed after the best dunk of year. Awful call

Jan 14, 2015 01:54 AM #75

ESPN copied my stat on fouls...

Jan 14, 2015 01:56 AM #76

No call on Mason being shoved.

Jan 14, 2015 01:57 AM #77

Perry is hustling a lot...

Jan 14, 2015 01:58 AM #78

FRANNNNNK

Jan 14, 2015 01:59 AM #79

Next year we will have the top backcourt in CBB.

Jan 14, 2015 02:01 AM #80

OSU without Forte is like Cleveland without LeBron...just another team...

Jan 14, 2015 02:01 AM #81

26 of 40 fts if I am correct. 65% won't cut it.

Jan 14, 2015 02:02 AM #82

@brooksmd he's saving us, offensive boards and good decisions

Jan 14, 2015 02:02 AM #83

@Hawk8086 36.1%, 27.3% and 65% is piss poor.

Jan 14, 2015 02:04 AM #84

Somebody get the oxygen ready for Rooster.

Jan 14, 2015 02:06 AM #85

Man our offense is just....

Jan 14, 2015 02:07 AM #86

@cragarhawk :poop:

Jan 14, 2015 02:07 AM #87

Just the fumbled balls under the basket have cost us 6 points in the 2nd half.

Jan 14, 2015 02:08 AM #88

As bad as the ft shooting has been tonight. What if we dont have the ones weve hit. Just take a moment to process that

Jan 14, 2015 02:09 AM #89

Rooster jump in!!

Jan 14, 2015 02:09 AM #90

@cragarhawk Yeah, right no that's the diff in the game.

Jan 14, 2015 02:09 AM #91

Nice offense

Jan 14, 2015 02:09 AM #92

Landon about time.

Jan 14, 2015 02:09 AM #93

This has all the pace of a Big East game. Nice to have the Eastern Time Zone fans (especially the Dookies) wait on us for a change.

Jan 14, 2015 02:10 AM #94

@nwhawkfan Plus 1000 on that one!

Jan 14, 2015 02:10 AM #95

@nwhawkfan indeed

Jan 14, 2015 02:11 AM #96

Watch the press! Foul the crap out of us coming up!

Jan 14, 2015 02:12 AM #97

Nice reaction by DG.

Jan 14, 2015 02:14 AM #98

Nash show-up the ref like he did over the weekend he'll get another T.

Jan 14, 2015 02:14 AM #99

I swear!!! Trying not to bad mouth kids, but Perry is driving me nuts!

Jan 14, 2015 02:15 AM #100

Refereeing has been well below par...no home advantage at all, in fact, quite the opposite.

Jan 14, 2015 02:15 AM #101

@Crimsonorblue22 In his 3rd year you would expect him to be at the top of the game.

Jan 14, 2015 02:16 AM #102

@brooksmd
Agree wholeheartedly

Jan 14, 2015 02:17 AM #103

Perhaps thats what im worried about. Maybe he is...

Jan 14, 2015 02:17 AM #104

@Crimsonorblue22 5 TURNOVERS...HE'S THINKING TOO MUCH...

Jan 14, 2015 02:17 AM #105

A lot of unforced turnovers for KU...

Jan 14, 2015 02:18 AM #106

Mason leading rebounder for Hawks tonight.

Jan 14, 2015 02:19 AM #107

Graham is learning the hard way not to give Forte any room...

Jan 14, 2015 02:19 AM #108

@JayHawkFanToo Think they had 6 first half and up to 15 now.

Jan 14, 2015 02:21 AM #109

Very intense game leading to turnovers...

Jan 14, 2015 02:23 AM #110

Just absolutely horrific defense there

Jan 14, 2015 02:23 AM #111

Why isn't BG on the floor for FT's?

Jan 14, 2015 02:24 AM #112

@brooksmd

He cannot play defense...

Jan 14, 2015 02:25 AM #113

@brooksmd he was bad first half

Jan 14, 2015 02:25 AM #114

I love HCBS. But im sorry. I absolutely despise our late half/late game stategy. Hold the ball and one guy go make a play

Jan 14, 2015 02:25 AM #115

Cobbins is toast...

Jan 14, 2015 02:27 AM #116

Frank one rebound from double-double.

Jan 14, 2015 02:28 AM #117

@brooksmd I'm not starting Perry sat

Jan 14, 2015 02:28 AM #118

@Crimsonorblue22 Unfortunately you don't count.

Jan 14, 2015 02:30 AM #119

Almost made it to 70% FT. 69.6%

Jan 14, 2015 02:30 AM #120

Hahaha

Jan 14, 2015 02:30 AM #121

An ugly win is still a win. But Lord, if we play like this at Hilton we're in trouble.

Jan 14, 2015 02:31 AM #122

@nwhawkfan If they play like this Sat they can stay home.

Jan 14, 2015 02:32 AM #123

@nwhawkfan
Ya.... We'll be longing for the days wheb we only lost by 20whatever

Jan 14, 2015 02:32 AM #124

Unless we make them play ugly too. Anyone get time warner post game? Sorry jayhawkfan

Jan 14, 2015 02:33 AM #125

And now, it's time for the ESPN Coach K canonization show. And I thought you needed to perform two miracles to get named a saint...

Jan 14, 2015 02:35 AM #126

@nwhawkfan Hope Dickie V wore his Depends in case he wets himself.

Jan 14, 2015 02:35 AM #127

@brooksmd
Thats not a question of "if" :)

Jan 14, 2015 02:39 AM #128

Forte learned some acting from smart!!! You can't be hurt one play, then be fine when you do good, then hurt when you get beat. Etc

Jan 14, 2015 02:39 AM #129

Hmmm, is Miami gonna give the Pukies problems tonight? Well gotta go let the kids out and clean up kitchen. Later ya'll. RCJH

Jan 14, 2015 02:44 AM #130

Mason leads team in scoring and rebounding yet again. Idk how this team has won 14 games sometimes

Jan 14, 2015 02:47 AM #131

@cragarhawk should start post game comments

Jan 14, 2015 02:50 AM #132

@Crimsonorblue22
Okay. This is an official post game comment... :) 3-0 in league is hard to complain about. But i always find a way. Haha

Jan 14, 2015 02:53 AM #133

I think after tonight, I'd like to see more of this lineup, which I think others have also suggested would be our best line:
Mason
Graham
Oubre
Mari
Alexander

At this point, why not bring Perry off the bench. He responds in 1 of 2 ways... He says "this is BS I'm taking my starting job back" or he plays poorly with diminished confidence. If he doesn't step up to that challenge, what kind of production are we going to get out of him come tournament time?

Also, WV is the second best team in our league, imo. Then Iowa State. Bobby Huggins knows how to coach. All the questions we have every year mid-conference about the coaching ability of Barnes, Ford, Drew, Weber.. those questions don't apply to Huggins. He's going to have WV contending for the conference title a lot for the next decade.

Jan 14, 2015 02:56 AM #134

@RedRooster
As long as youre around im always really gonna feel like im worth something around here. :)

Jan 14, 2015 02:58 AM #135

@Crimsonorblue22
That sure seemed obvious to me. I had some respect for him but I think that was a stunt and beneath him-maybe he thought he could fool KU and sneak up on them??? My guess is the KU coaches advised our boys don't believe it for a second.

Jan 14, 2015 03:00 AM #136

Watching the game now. In laws stopped by to see the baby before they go on a week long vacation so I had to wait to watch. Almost half time. I think most of my gripes were expressed by you all. Didn't see this one though. 6'5" Selden was being guard by 5'3" Paige jr. Why not have him post up more than the one time we did at the start of the game???

Jan 14, 2015 03:18 AM #137

@Kip_McSmithers
We just seemed to me to run very little actual offense. Now. Whether that was because of osu's defense or if that was perhaps just some early season stategy by our savvy sly head coach. I cannot say for certain

Jan 14, 2015 03:34 AM #138

Glad it's not a free throw contest. We suck again at them!

Jan 14, 2015 04:24 AM #139

Wow, Miami blew out the Pukies in Cameron. Stupid Pukies were still challenging ballhandlers all the way to the buzzer. And Fizzoo, well the Kensucky put a 49 point whooping on the kittie-cats. The antlers must be ready to jump off the tallest building on campus.

Jan 14, 2015 04:33 AM #140

@brooksmd angel made the right move!

Jan 14, 2015 04:35 AM #141

Forte had 12 points 8 minutes into the game; he scored 6 the rest of the game. Once they figured out the OU plays for Forte, KU was able to greatly neutralize him; 9 of his points were from the FT line. Selden guarded him most of the time and Oubre, Mason and Graham also took turns.

Yes, there were problems but OSU was coming on a hot streak and KU managed to beat them by 10. I cannot complaint too much and it is hard to argue with the result, although I am sure some will.

On other news, Miami trounces Duke at Cameron. Former KSU player Angel Rodriguez had 24 points to lead all scorers. Can you imagine a back court of Rodriguez and Foster at KSU?

Jan 14, 2015 05:56 AM #142

Cliff Alexander's posterizing dunk is #1 on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays of the Day.
