Credit to Coach K on an amazing milestone. Would be silly to not recognize what he has done for three-plus decades.
The nice thing is that we've been right there with the Dukies. KU and Duke are the winningest programs since 1980 and are probably the closest thing to rivals that there is at the top of basketball.
Coach K has run a consistently good programs for a long. long time. This is hard to do, particularly when you also run a clean program at at school with high admission requirements. His contribution to the USA National teams has also been big.
I know at times, and as rival, we don't like him much, but you cannot question his coaching acumen or success.
