One of the problems with those Adidas uniforms was that they make our players' positioning too visible. Too many colors and patterns that are distinct -> people can easily compute your positioning and movement.

@sdkujn It all depends. If we win and he doesn't play, he will be plenty fresh for the next game.

Really solid half - key was being strong on the boards - out rebounded them by 4 and held them to 4 ORs. Made some 3s and better than 50% overall. Missed some bunnies though - two clear breakaways. They only had 6 TOs, which is actually less than their average. Need to keep up the pressure.

Let's see if we can - for once - play two halves like we mean it. Don't let them get back in the game and get confidence. Keep up pressure on defense and keep attacking on offense.

Kids need to work on moving their feet and not using their hands to guard. I don't always agree with Jay Bilas but that is one thing he has correct. Too much grabbing, checking, and pulling by guards really muds up the game.

@Kip_McSmithers I'm not going to blame it on the refs. In the 1st half we're were doubling the bigs and not giving them a chance to back in or get close for RBs. We're not now and consequently getting the fouls called because our guys down low aren't big enough, strong enough, and don't have good enough footwork to keep them from the rim.

Did you hear the comments about Self's comments playing against WSU..."Afraid...You're Afraid to play 'em"...I'm sick of that talk. We have nothing to gain playing WSU other than a stupid in state rivalry. Well, WSU might get what they ask for, but I'm afraid they're looking right past IU to KU.

I think WSU fans are looking right past IU too...They want KU so bad, they can taste it.

Took a long lunch to watch the game with a buddy. It sure was nice to relax for two halves. Nice win guys-love it that the bench was cleared in the end for a little time on the court. RCJH.

@Crimsonorblue22 Greg Marshall is all talk...I don't respect him much at all after his little boy tirade last year about playing KU. He lost my respect. What he said was stupid and unprofessional. He started this whole mess.

@Crimsonorblue22 Good thing CBS is streaming as I can't get any network stations on tv in computer room. Even tried different cable boxes. All the other 150+ channels work, just not CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC..

@RockChalkinTexas It was Elmore that made the comment about Self. He said Self should respond with "Anytime or anywhere....bring it. This is the NCAA tournament." I prefer to think that Self is optimistically cautious. People always want hype and drama.

Just like our little Shocker brother Marshall. He's a little boy that has temper tantrums when things don't go his way. He'll take his toys and go to another sandbox. I say, pee in his sandbox, and steal his toys. Then he won't have anything to cry about.

BTW- We are seeing the difference between the MVC and the B10. IU played Wisconsin for cryin' out loud. Shockers want a little mid-major MVC game. They are playing big time now. They are playing very battle tested teams from tougher conferences.
