@approxinfinity It looks that way, but he wasn’t doing much before Remy checked in.
We need to put them away!
@FarmerJayhawk Thank you!!
@DCHawker That is a matter of opinion. Wilson will be good, McCormack is a McDonalds All American, and Abaji is talented. This loss was bad, doesn’t mean the team is horrible. We did not matchup well with tall teams this year. Next year will be different. A bad year at KU? 2nd in Conference and a loss in the round of 32. That’s not so bad.
@Texas-Hawk-10 KU’s best teams took butt whoopings to include 1st round losses. Recruiting is down due to investigations. We will bounce back.
@DCHawker Harris will surprise. There is a lot of talent on this team. Compared to the other Blue Blood Programs, the year wasn’t so bad. Losses like this motivate. Looking forward to next season. Wish there was a tournament last year, I think we would have won it.
Matchups were a nightmare. We will be back strong next year!
@approxinfinity said in Gonzaga Game Thread:
This season is going to be one we can split into two phases. First, getting beaten up by ranked teams in the non-con and then second, the lights will come on and the season will be cancelled.
@msanchez For team development.
It appears exhibition games are important??
Dotson, Nice Again!!
Nice!!
I'll give you that one.
Not enjoying play by play. Hope it improves.
We will be much better with Moss. We will be hard to guard.
We got Moss’d.
If you're not cheating, you're not trying! That seems to be the lesson learned here? That goes for Universities, students, parents, coaches, investigators, and the NCAA. Universities and coaches want wins/championships. Parents and students want money for services (I am not saying every parent and student).The NCAA wants to make as much money as possible, while playing favorites. Even investigators have alma maters. Everyone appears to have an agenda?
Great news on Devon Dotson returning! Quentin Grimes was great against Michigan State. He is an excellent ball player and will continue to get better. Sad to see him go. From year one to year two can make a big difference.
Must be really on the fence about what to do?
Bad shooting night. Nothing special about ISU. This is nowhere close to the team we were supposed to have this year. All things considered, 25-9 is not too bad. Time to survive and advance.
This run is not over. The streak may be, but we still have opponents rushing the court anytime we lose so our relevance is still there.
I will refer to this year’s team as “The Home Boys” until they take on a “Road Warriors” mentality and stop taking punches and deliver some haymakers!
Same Ole Barnes (SOB)
Red hot shooting. Glad we are still scoring the ball.
The starters should be fresh?
@Texas-Hawk-10 Regardless, I love the effort!
Much better!
@Crimsonorblue22 Agreed!
@BShark Its just a matter of chemistry. It will come together.
@BShark I respectfully disagree.
Would like to see us run a little more. Okay a lot more!
McCormack got a few minutes against MSU. His time will come. Coach Self's just making him hungry.
@approxinfinity Thanks for all you do! Next year should be another good one!
@Bwag Thanks. I thought back to what was said in Beyond the Phog.
Jay Wright is making a great argument against one and done. He has even managed to convince talented players to redshirt. Lots of players are going to play professionally after playing at Villanova, after putting in the hard work in College and not rushing out the door. Also, it appears he has a grudge against us after the 2008 game with Collins and Chalmers. Just my opinion. I don't think Coach Self has to change his model after losing this game. I would have liked to see Svi and Newman shoot more baseline 3's which is what they are excellent at. 6 more 3's fall and maybe we are having a different conversation.
Devonte Graham, what an outstanding young man! Thank you for all of your hard work, sacrifice and dedication. I truly hope that when the next Kansas Jayhawks basketball team wins a National Championship, they present you with a ring as well, you deserve it!
Poetic Justice! Grayson Allen's potential game winner "Kicked Out"!
One game at a time. Survive and advance.
@DCHawker You are right.
Silvio, Newman, Graham should be All-Tournament!
I just cheer my heart out for KU come tournament time and hope to survive and advance. I appreciate how hard these young men practice and play. It is not as simple as putting on a uniform that says KANSAS and everything goes their way. It takes effort, teamwork, luck and a few breaks from the officials to pull it off. Regardless of the outcome, I will be back next year, enjoying the ride and cheering for our Kansas Jayhawks!
@elpoyo When Coach K began coaching NBA Players in the Olympics.
14 Straight will be an excellent recruiting point!
@KUSTEVE Blake Griffin played against KU as a Freshman. He hurt his knee in the first 5 minutes. Sophomore year he missed the game with a concussion.
The other conferences don't all play each team twice like the Big XII and some teams 3 times when including the Conference Tournament. The Big XII is worn down come NCAA time. KU may have to play WVU and or TTU a third time and then start the NCAA Tournament. Then again, OU, TCU, KSU, ISU, UT, and Baylor may have to face KU a third time. In other words, its rough out here!
Haven't heard Coach Self's name come up, so I'm good!
If you're happy and you know it clap your hands! Clap, Clap! Rock Chalk!
This season is the reason, I enjoy every win and never take wins for granted.
If we get Williamson, then everyone forgets.....just the way it is.
Legend on so many different levels!
