Texas just beat OU in Norman and the wheels seem to have fell off the wagon for Kruger. Losing 5 in a row and 7 of the last 9 games, how last Sunday they were a top 16 team is nothing short of baffling. ISU and KSU are tied at the half in Manhattan, the rest of the games are as follows:

Kansas vs West Virginia 5:15 CT

Tech @ Baylor 6:30 CT

Okie State @ TCU 7:00 CT

Which all this does will be just our luck Young will come out - - -Oklahoma will come out against us and just shoot - - - LIGHTS OUT.- -young will probably go off for 40 - -Oklahoma will shoot right at 50% - -figure that is how it will play out - they will play out of their a - -

Young has made like 4 out of his last 26 3pt attempts - -the announcers were saying teams their 2nd time through the league are just making him work harder .

The thing is if you watch this Oklahoma team - they have trouble defending and I saw multiple multiple times today where players were just jogging back on defense - -hell there were times where they played with 4 players on the defensive end. I saw young not even get to the offensive end at times - -both ends of the floor there were their players just lacking effort- -no fire it looked like at all. Bamba just ate them up on the defensive end like 5 blocks - - -17 rebounds. - We just need to be ready Monday for sure - but most of all we got to get after it tonight. - - - ROCK CHALKALL DAY LONG BABY

Oklahoma is now 16-10. That is all, carry on.

Feb 17, 2018 07:24 PM #4

@jayballer73 Yes AFH has always been a “shooters building”, OU doesn’t look good at this point the only thing keeping them relevant is the ESPN Trae Young hype machine. Hopefully he continues to not shoot it well, but let’s worry about West Virginia first.

Feb 17, 2018 07:28 PM #5

God sure works in mysterious ways. Using Trae Young to make it harder for KU to continue the streak because that KU loss to OU helps put TTech in such a strong position. The part where Trae knew God wanted OU to win the conference must have been a misprint.

Beat ku and their deal with the devil finally ended.. 8 of 10 they have lost. Looked disfunctional, there is definitely chemistry issues on OU because of youngs attention

Trae Young is OU. This is basically the same supporting cast that finished 9th last year in the Big 12. Baylor is now sitting in 5th place at the moment, let that one sink in. The Big 12 is playing their way into being a 4 bid league right now.

Feb 17, 2018 07:41 PM #9

Northwestern is all over Michigan St. right now. Up 22 with about 8 minutes left in the first half.

Feb 17, 2018 07:49 PM #10

@BeddieKU23 If Young's teammates could hit 42% of his attempted assists, Oklahoma would be in much better shape in the win column. RIght now the Sooners are led by a freshman whose deep shot has gone up in smoke. I would imagine that the Sooners will trudge into the field house with their dobbers down, then their two starting freshmen will combine for a dozen or so exciting 3s, and OK will push us to the buzzer....

Sounds about right

@Texas-Hawk-10 I'm going Thursday to see NW play UW in Rosemount, NW's temporary home. They're a puzzling team, but basically everyone is a puzzling team right now.

Away from home, one of the worst teams in college basketball

OU loses Young after this season. What’s in the hopper for them? Will they play team basketball again?

Feb 17, 2018 09:04 PM #16

@Gorilla72 will they be called ou or Trae Young's old team?

Feb 17, 2018 09:18 PM #17

@Crimsonorblue22 Might depend on whether Young's deep shot returns in time for the Big 12 Tournament?

Feb 17, 2018 09:26 PM #18

Michigan St. came back from 27 down to beat Northwestern. Held them to 11 points in the second half. If MSU plays like they did in the 2nd half today, they're winning the national title this year.

Feb 17, 2018 09:29 PM #19

@REHawk next year?

Feb 17, 2018 09:35 PM #20

@Texas-Hawk-10 And if they play like the first half?

Feb 17, 2018 09:44 PM #21

@mayjay If it's like the 1st half, they won't win a game.

Feb 17, 2018 09:47 PM #22

It was interesting to me seeing ESPNs percentage of OU to make the NCAA, said with a loss to Texas it was still 97%. Seems strange that 16-10 team, 6-8 in conference would be a lock at this point. I personally hope the big 12 gets 7 or 8 in but at this point I’d be shocked if the go .500 in the league and probably won’t even have 20 wins.

Gotta wonder if cardiologists monitor coaches constantly, or conduct studies to see how they live through this crap!

Feb 17, 2018 09:54 PM #24

@kjayhawks The interest in OU is still high enough (due to Trae) to overcome a record that is spiraling down--probably enough to take them from the first or second four out to the last four in. (In contrast, LSU still wasn't good enough to get Simmons to the Dance.) If OU can't get any signature wins from here on (KU, WVU, TT) the percentage will drop fast. On the edge now.

Seth Greenberg mentioned what you just said right after Young's 39 shot attempted night. - - Same thing - maybe not word for word, you said -- definitely chemistry issues - Greenberg said part of the reason for that was they going quit on Trae - gonna quit rebounding - quit passing it out to him - -actually the kid is just in a slump - -not that much different then Vick's slum[ - -Malik's slump - the ball just not going in right now.- -How many layups did he miss today - not hitting his 3's - although he did get a couple fairly late to go.

My worry is that he will come in Monday and just shoot lights out come out of his slump at our expense. - - ROC CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

actually so far today the Teams that need a MUST WIN today have achieved just that. - -Texas absolutely had to have that win - -they were in the last four in before that game - -need a little solidification - -K-State was 12 seed coming in today -- they needed a win to be more solid I don't think there is any way we only have 4 teams - we still looking at 6-7 teams, not really worried about that so much. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@Texas-Hawk-10 And Texas Tech beat Northwestern by 35. Sorry, not hopping on the Rape U hype train.

Feb 18, 2018 03:10 AM #30

KSU wins as does TCU and Baylor with the big of the night over Tech, tho they tried hard to give it away. Tech didn’t have Evans for 3/4s of the game and fouled out 2 guys but still had 3 tries to win it.

Up date standings. TCU 6-8. OSU 5-9.

Feb 18, 2018 03:29 AM #33

With 4 games left it’s pretty much between Tech and Kansas. Another 2 wins next week with Tech at WV the following Monday should all be done but the crying. It sure as hell won’t be easy, OU is kinda a trap game at this point after tonight’s big win and Tech looming Saturday. I’d hope our boys are still fired up about giving it away in Norman, but I’m worried Young will break his slump and go nuts. Gonna be a fun few weeks here.
