Couldn't put him in with this kind of game and so much on the line - - He will have plenty of playing time but just not right conditions today

This game was set up perfectly for KU to get upset. I think they lose without Remy in this game.

Son of a biscuit lover. that game got my blood boiling.
So unlike us. Och needs to find his game pretty quick, i'd say.

Before Texas' new coach was hired I heard he was offered a chance to come back.

Remy was our best player today. The Braun 3 might've been the clutch shot of the day. The clutch defense play of the day was Big Dave's block.

Remy was quick on defense but 6'8" guys are too big.

I hope this was our down game as we have now won seven in a row. We didn't choke, made free throws and beat a good team that almost outplayed us. The rest of our bracket should savor this one as we might beak the crap out of everyone one of you who comes into our flight path.

Funny, Och didn't pass the eyeball test during the game, but his boxscore numbers look solid.

Oh no...

Remy missed some shots in the second half; probably shot a couple too quickly. But, 7/14 from the field, 4/4 FTs and 7 Rbs. Man, did we need Remy today. Wow

Remy played 12 more minutes than Harris.

Ok so everything from here on out is beyond my expectations and I won't be let down. Sweet 16 was always my level of expectation for this team.

Huggy had some really good things to say about KU

Hard to judge Providence on this game. Historically bad shooting night for Richmond. 1-22 from 3 - not a typo. And, just 8-21 from the stripe.

Here are my hopes for this week:
* super healing powers for Dave's foot and Mitch's knee
* Ochai's shooting mindset and touch to return
* Remy to continue on his trajectory
* CB to get more confident to shoot the 3
* Juan to be Obi-wan to Remy's Jedi Master
* JW to rise to his ceiling
* JCL to continue being the best sharpshooter off the bench in history
* The bench to be the best scout team in the nation

Thank god we didn't have to play UNC or Memphis. Seriously.

His two 15' foot jumpers were very timely. His flat shot trajectory reminds me of Earl the Pearl Monroe's.

JCL, who matched up well with the bigger guards, displayed good defense (much improved) and was perfect with two pretty swishes one of which was a three.

I wasn't impressed with Creighton when they played San Diego St. Creighton was behind most of the game. Boy, Creighton didn't even look like the same team yesterday. Creighton must stop wearing our road blue. Everytime their 44 shot and made a 3 I cheered thinking it was Mitch. I got a little tired of their 44 yesterday. On to Providence, another school like St Peter's with a small enrollment. Only some 4,200 undergrads and 700 or so graduate students. Shoot the entire student body could attend the game in United Center's 23,500 seat arena and still leave plenty of room for KU fans.

If we ever desperately need a bomb I feel we could reasonably rely on Och, Christian, R3MY, J3L, JWill or Daj. If we could only play six at a time!

Yes it does seem as such. They destroyed Richmond with Richmond's help. One for twenty-two from three. Holy bejesus!

Och seems to be in a mini funk, compared to his own standards.

His shot selection yesterday was questionable, he could be pressing, tourney pressure.

If true, Self and coaching staff should keep him calm and poised.

Yep and the career night thing like we saw against Creighton and others in our few losses makes me say bad words. I think it may be the NCAA dicking with us. This year the ghost of Phog Allen has been fickle. Maybe a burnt offering of some kind would appease him.

Right there with you and the bad words when that happens. Perhaps we can burn Providence with 3s as an offering? Wouldn’t that be something - 2 or 3 of our guys getting hot and just raining 3s all game long, and then Big D cleaning up underneath as their defense sags out to try and stop the rain. Not holding my breath, but sure would enjoy it.
