Kansas V. Davidson and Curry

This link is pretty interesting. The best part is the highlight video of Kansas playing Villanova in that years tourney and Darrell Arthur with some phenomenal dunks. That KU team could throw them down, not quite as good as the Gooden, Collison, Heinrich, Langford years.

Of course our 2008 dream season almost didn't happen because of Curry.

@wissoxfan83

Here is the entire KU vs Davidson game

The more I go back in time and review that season, the more I think of that team as a team that did achieve... but not over-achieve. We clearly had the talent load in that March Madness. Just check out Davidson... one play away from beating us. Hard to believe.

I give "Danny and the Miracles" the crown as a Jayhawk team that over-achieved. Along with 2012, the TRob and TT show.

I will never forget how worried I was that Curry would make the last shot, but with brilliant defense we denied him the ball and he had to pass it to a team mate who missed at the buzzer.
The other thing I will never forget is the replay showing HCBS crouching on the sidelines-when the shot missed and the buzzer went off he dropped his head and slapped the floor. The monkey was off his back and we were in the final four.

@JayhawkRock78 I was at that game and remember thinking several possessions prior to the final play that it would come down to Curry beating us on the last shot. We missed a free throw I think and I was resigned to the fact that Curry would beat us with a 3. I crouched down almost exactly the way that Self did. It took me awhile to process the fact that we had won. Despite what the Richards kid said, though, that shot did not look that great to me from the start.

@Hawk8086
That was one of KU's many great game ending moments. Glad to hear you were there to see it first hand. My wish for every Jayhawk fan is that they get to see a game in AFH, and they get to see the hawks win a big one like that.

@JayhawkRock78 ditto! Hard on the heart though!

@Crimsonorblue22 Always feels like it takes years off of your life,

@JayhawkRock78 I've seen one game in AFH. It was memorable in that we lost to ISU as Giddens clanked just about everything he put up that day. (puke)

@brooksmd
Sorry to hear that-go back and watch them again-the odds are very much in your favor for a win.
