@globaljaybird Go Cubs Go, Go Cubs Go, hey Chicago whata ya say Cubs, are going to win today!!!

Nov 01, 2016 11:46 PM #3

@brooksmd Hope so boss !!

Nov 01, 2016 11:47 PM #4

@globaljaybird Maddon said if need be Chapman ready to go for 2 innings tonite. Did a hell of a job Sunday night.

Nov 01, 2016 11:56 PM #5

@brooksmd u watching Cubs over Jayhawks?

Nov 01, 2016 11:57 PM #6

Cleveland has this series. Don't see the Cubs scoring enough.

Nov 01, 2016 11:57 PM #7

@Crimsonorblue22 Nope. Cubs on regular tv, KU is not down here. Waiting for it to start on ESPN3. Will have both going.

Nov 01, 2016 11:58 PM #8

@BShark Haven't heard the fat lady sing yet. She hasn't even cleared her throat.

Nov 01, 2016 11:59 PM #9

I'm cheering for Cleveland. Booooo Cubs.

Nov 02, 2016 12:02 AM #10

@Crimsonorblue22 How come you haven't started a KU game thread yet?

Nov 02, 2016 12:12 AM #11

@brooksmd Well, E3 is blacked out here at the Rock- Zenger gouging his biggest donors & fans doesn't set right with me...:imp:

Nov 02, 2016 12:17 AM #12

@globaljaybird Hope they leave Tomlin in all night.

Nov 02, 2016 12:19 AM #13

I got it . I got it. I got it. Oh you got it? lol

Nov 02, 2016 12:20 AM #14

Zo making like a middle linebacker. Whacka!!!

Nov 02, 2016 12:21 AM #15

Too late for a reliever, just leave Tomlin in.

Nov 02, 2016 12:26 AM #16

@brooksmd whadi miss ? Was in the galley raidin the chili mac & its now 3-0 Cubs...

Nov 02, 2016 12:37 AM #17

@globaljaybird Bryant started it with a solo hr. Rizzo and Zo singled. CF and RF forgot how to call for a fly ball. It dropped between them scoring Rizzo and Zo. Catcher had plate completely blocked and Zo cleaned his clock.

Nov 02, 2016 12:47 AM #18

@globaljaybird Arrieta getting it done.

Nov 02, 2016 12:55 AM #19

@globaljaybird Them boys still haven't figured out how to call for a ball.

Nov 02, 2016 01:00 AM #20

Tomlin pitching a good game.

Nov 02, 2016 01:02 AM #21

@brooksmd TF should give Tomlin da hook...

Nov 02, 2016 01:03 AM #22

Aw crap, pulled just when he was hitting his stride.

Nov 02, 2016 01:05 AM #23

Well then...

Nov 02, 2016 01:05 AM #24

@globaljaybird GO CUBS GO!!! Grand Salami Russell. Whoop Whoop.

Nov 02, 2016 01:06 AM #25

HELL YES

Nov 02, 2016 01:09 AM #26

I'm very sad right now. Looks like we are headed to game 7.

Nov 02, 2016 01:10 AM #27

@brooksmd So- Should they hold on & take game 6, does that make the Cubs da fav in game 7 facing Kluber & presumably a thoroughly rested Miller & Allen ?

Nov 02, 2016 01:12 AM #28

Long way to go in this one

Nov 02, 2016 01:14 AM #29

@DanR I ain't givin it to da Cubs yet either... Tribe has quite a few hacks left.

Nov 02, 2016 01:14 AM #30

@globaljaybird That's the big question. But they always talk momentum and Cubs have it right now. Hendricks gets the start and everybody else will be available for gm 7 and the Cubs bats have come alive.

Nov 02, 2016 02:18 AM #31

@brooksmd Only thing disappoints me about the exhibition game is I would have liked to see our friend's son (Lightfoot) play cause he may not see many minutes once the reg season starts. Great family, just great. Will IM you later.

Nov 02, 2016 02:26 AM #32

@globaljaybird

you rooting for Tribe or Cubbies?

Nov 02, 2016 02:27 AM #33

@globaljaybird Lightfoot played pretty well. Haven't seen a box score, but he must have been in at least 15 minutes. 5 boards, some free throws. Going to be a tough dude.

Nov 02, 2016 02:28 AM #34

@VailHawk Tonite Cubs-tomorrow coin toss...AL Central proves itself year after year...

Nov 02, 2016 02:29 AM #35

@globaljaybird

yeah I go back and forth. Prolly want Tribe to win for AL Central and to keep Cubs streak alive

Nov 02, 2016 02:32 AM #36

@VailHawk :-1:

Nov 02, 2016 02:33 AM #37

@DanR Thanks. When he was a toddler we hung out with his parents often, at WOF, the zoo..... at Arrowhead, Oakwood Country Club - last 2 without him of course !! When you're young those days seem like they'll never end my friend.

Nov 02, 2016 02:44 AM #38

@globaljaybird When you post does it say posted less than a minute ago or posted an hour ago?

Nov 02, 2016 02:46 AM #39

@globaljaybird I dont think Lightfoot will have any problems getting PT. Self won't roll without 4 bigs and Coleby isn't healed enough and may not be this season .

Nov 02, 2016 02:47 AM #40

@brooksmd A minute ago usually.I think ??

Nov 02, 2016 02:47 AM #41

And as Dan said, he was a beast. Wanted it more than Lucas or Bragg.

Nov 02, 2016 02:50 AM #42

@globaljaybird For some reason it says an hour ago. Even yours and anybody else when they post it says an hour ago. Chatted with @approxinfinity trying to figure out if it's me or what. I've checked my time/date, cleared cookies, logged out/in and rebooted but we're scratching our heads.

Nov 02, 2016 02:51 AM #43

@brooksmd This says less than a minute ago.

Nov 02, 2016 02:52 AM #44

@brooksmd Maddon going wit da big dog .

Nov 02, 2016 02:53 AM #45

Not sure how I feel about Chapman in the 7th again, so I guess I'll just watch and hope he only throws 5 or 6 pitches.

Nov 02, 2016 02:53 AM #46

@brooksmd yeah I've seen stuff like that get out of whack every once in a while. Never that particular thing. See if it's the same in a different browser? Different device?

Nov 02, 2016 02:54 AM #47

Really they went to Chapman in the 7th again? Nuts

Nov 02, 2016 02:56 AM #48

Two pitches, out of the inning, and a jammed knee. Ice it up and get out of there.

Nov 02, 2016 02:58 AM #49

@DanR Get some runs and take Chapman out for tmrw nite.

Nov 02, 2016 02:59 AM #50

@DanR when he made the move I was thinkin it could backfire real easy-specially wit "da curse"

Nov 02, 2016 03:00 AM #51

@globaljaybird how's my man doing?

Nov 02, 2016 03:01 AM #52

I bought a Heyward shirt just to piss off my Cardinal fan inlaws... I would love it if he would finally do something. At this point, I'm not convinced he's not a St. Louis plant.

Nov 02, 2016 03:01 AM #53

@Crimsonorblue22 Whose dat?

Nov 02, 2016 03:03 AM #54

@Crimsonorblue22 Who you talkin girl, ME or Benny Z ?? JK !

Nov 02, 2016 03:03 AM #55

Maybe tomorrow, Jason. Be a hero.

Nov 02, 2016 03:03 AM #56

@DanR He'd be pickin splinters out of his butt if Schwarber was healthy.

Nov 02, 2016 03:04 AM #57

Hitting the sack. Goodnight guys.

Nov 02, 2016 03:05 AM #58

@approxinfinity Onda rebound boss, unless were dunked...

Nov 02, 2016 03:12 AM #59

@globaljaybird Don't even think that. Repeat over and over: Game 7 Game 7 Game 7 Game 7 Game 7....

Nov 02, 2016 03:13 AM #60

Three more outs and it's on to GAME 7!!!

Nov 02, 2016 03:18 AM #61

Geez that was a train wreck at the plate when Zo scored.

Nov 02, 2016 03:19 AM #62

RIZZO KABOOOOOOOM!!!

Nov 02, 2016 03:21 AM #63

Come on Maddon save Chapman and bring in somebody for bottom of the 9th.

Nov 02, 2016 03:21 AM #64

Loving the insurance runs. Maddon seriously going to leave Chapman in and go with all starters tomorrow?

Nov 02, 2016 03:24 AM #65

@DanR Not me, I'd taken him out last inning. Shows little faith in his other pitchers to get a mere 2 innings of relief with a5 run lead-1 or 2 yeah, but 5???

Nov 02, 2016 03:24 AM #66

@globaljaybird Benny and the jets!

Nov 02, 2016 03:27 AM #67

@globaljaybird You can bet Chapman would still go 1 maybe 2 tmrw nite if needed. I have no doubt.

Nov 02, 2016 03:29 AM #68

Talking heads all said Cubs tonite except Petey.

Nov 02, 2016 03:30 AM #69

@brooksmd Who did Rose put money on though

Nov 02, 2016 03:31 AM #70

@DanR :wink:

Nov 02, 2016 03:32 AM #71

@DanR Not sure. Only one I know for sure was Thomas said Cubs in 7. Stupid me. The betting thing went right over my head. Good one.

Nov 02, 2016 03:34 AM #72

Stupid baserunning.

Nov 02, 2016 03:35 AM #73

Andre Dawson would have thrown a perfect strike, but that was still a nice damn throw by Heyward.

Nov 02, 2016 03:37 AM #74

@DanR On the damn fly too.

Nov 02, 2016 03:38 AM #75

@brooksmd Francona didn't look pleased about that flub.

Nov 02, 2016 03:39 AM #76

@DanR Loved the Hawk when he was a Cub. Class all the way. Signed a blank contract with the Cubs just to get off artificial turf in Montreal and on real grass in Chicago for his knees.

Nov 02, 2016 03:39 AM #77

Old guys like to strut when they're pissed... some of us that's all w can do anymore...

Nov 02, 2016 03:40 AM #78

All right, guys. One more W.

Nov 02, 2016 03:41 AM #79

If Maddon cares, Ross HAS to start tmrw nite behind the plate. I don't care if he's pulled after one inning, but he has to start.

Nov 02, 2016 03:42 AM #80

Hell with it....ROCK CHALK CUBS!!!

Nov 02, 2016 03:43 AM #81

@brooksmd Early start tomorrow?

Nov 02, 2016 03:43 AM #82

Go Cubs Go, Go Cubs Go, hey Chicago whata ya say, Cubs are going to win today.

Nov 02, 2016 03:47 AM #83

@globaljaybird Do hot bats and the big mo mean anything against Kluber?

Nov 02, 2016 03:51 AM #84

@brooksmd Moneyball game 7 & Klubers stats show he's even tougher on teams the 3rd time he faces them...but those stats are not confined to a 10 day period... I like the Cubs hot bats. Ol man Wrigley musta bribed JOBU , ya think ?

Nov 02, 2016 03:51 AM #85

Nice they do that gig the way they do but need to block the crowd noise a little so we can hear the talking heads.

Nov 02, 2016 03:52 AM #86

@brooksmd We may have a lurker...

Nov 02, 2016 03:53 AM #87

Or maybe he just fell asleep online ....

Nov 02, 2016 03:53 AM #88

@globaljaybird You talking about @VailHawk ?

Nov 02, 2016 03:54 AM #89

@brooksmd Yep

Nov 02, 2016 12:41 PM #90

This business of having a second team. Ya'll were rightfully gungho last year for the Royals and now you're acting like you're life long die hard Cub fans. Geez, make up your mind!

Go Jayhawks...(.And Badgers!)

Nov 02, 2016 07:23 PM #91

@wissoxfan83 I've told my story. Back in the day of the KC A's I couldn't stand what appeared to me to be basically a major league farm team for the Yanks. I've always been a Cub fan and when the Royals came along just added them also. But also back in the day I supported the Sox. Can still remember being allowed to stay up late to watch the game against the Tribe that clinched the AL title in 1959. Then the Sox got spanked by the Dodgers. Aparicio/Fox were a heck of a combo. But one can have more than one favorite.

Nov 02, 2016 08:59 PM #92

Wait, is this the same guy we all joined with to cheer on his badgers a couple years ago? If I recall correctly he certainly didn't complain about it. Maybe he suffers from CRS. :wink:

Nov 02, 2016 09:24 PM #93

@wissoxfan83 said:

Go Jayhawks…(.And Badgers!)

And LSU Tigers too, right?

Don't worry, I get it. I grew up in NW Illinois (life-long cub/bears/bulls/Illini fan), but I've moved around enough to follow and root for a few other local teams... as long as they weren't in the same conference or league.

Nov 02, 2016 10:26 PM #94

Good stuff pops, you tell em. That 59' series was played about a month after I lost my Dad.& then his Dad passed the week after that WS ended. Big Ted Klezewski, Duke Snyder, Nellie & Louie, Early Winn, Larry Sherry-man now that's a who's who for sure . I can even recall ole Mel Allen with the call on my little "Monkey Wards" transistor ? Some of these young whippersnappers think we just got off the turnip truck but like my Dad used to say "Hell boy, I been farther around the outhouse lookin for the handle than you been on a train..."

Nov 02, 2016 11:36 PM #95

@globaljaybird Your Dad and his witticisms. The man had an amazing way with words. :smiley:

Nov 03, 2016 12:19 AM #96

@brooksmd Why thank you kind sir- Though sometimes he did get a might salty.

Nov 03, 2016 12:24 AM #97

@DanR No, haven't become an LSU fan, although I've pretended so that I can score some tickets for football games!

Nov 03, 2016 12:26 AM #98

@brooksmd Yes, I intentionally added the irony of my dual allegiance in hoops, and you know the FU thing was going on my post in response to you, right?

Nov 03, 2016 12:28 AM #99

@wissoxfan83 Missed that. Not unusual for this old man.

Nov 03, 2016 02:06 AM #100

@wissoxfan83 Dude, you have an LSU T-shirt. Kid at school there. You posted a pic in another thread. Were full-blown Simmons fanboy all last year. Own it.

Nov 03, 2016 02:28 AM #101

@DanR The LSU shirt is just an LSU Dad shirt! I can't pick up another team to cheer for. My life is complicated enough! I did enjoy going and watching Simmons, true, but not sure I'd call me a full blown fan boy!
