Nov 06, 2016 05:04 PM #1

I know Embid is the big name right now but let's not forget the rest

@Ralph

That would be the core of a pretty decent NBA team, particularly with Bill Self as coach.

Nov 06, 2016 07:20 PM #3

How does that compare with those of Kentucky, UNC, and Duke?

Nov 06, 2016 07:39 PM #4

@chriz

I don't know, you can probably look it up. Of course if we can get a healthy Mario and get Hinrich to play one more yer then we really have something since the lineup above is thin on PGs. Keith Langford could also be part of the team; he is one of the leading scorers in Europe.

Nov 06, 2016 07:43 PM #5

It's clear Embiid has that star power if he can continue what he is doing. Wiggins is going to be overshadowed by Towns. Andrew is a great player but Joel has some stuff you just can't teach

Nov 06, 2016 10:50 PM #6

@BeddieKU23 I don't think Wiggins stats in Minnesota past his first contract, maybe second contract. I think he eventually signs with tge Raptors and becomes the face of the NVA in Canada and on par with some of Canada's biggest hockey players for biggest active Canadian sports star.

Nov 06, 2016 10:51 PM #7

@JayHawkFanToo this is just a list of the active Jayhawks in the NBA. The first five listed had the best stats, it just ended up being a decent lineup. I was to lazy to list the rest.

Nov 06, 2016 11:20 PM #8

@chriz kentucky 25, duke 20 and UNC 13. If you combined the players from KU, duke and UNC and played kentucky players kentucky would likely win.

Nov 07, 2016 02:05 AM #9

@Ralph

The only problem with that lineup is the lack of point guard. We would need Mario and Kirk to be competitive.

Nov 07, 2016 02:13 AM #10

@JayHawkFanToo I don’t think either of them is on a team this year

Nov 07, 2016 02:21 AM #11

@Ralph yet

Nov 07, 2016 02:36 AM #12

@Ralph Thats really cool. Glad to see the twins and Wiggs doing so well and all of our other boys still in it.

Note: Joel is getting his stats on just 20 minutes a game!

Nov 07, 2016 02:49 AM #13

@Lulufulu Embid and Okafor are both on a 24 minute per game limit till chtistmas

Nov 07, 2016 02:55 AM #14

@Ralph

I know. Mario is still recovering from ACL surgery and shoul be available midway in the season. Kirk was not picked up but as the season progresses and players get injured, there is a decent chance tha he might get picked up. We would need both to be activated otherwise we have no PG.

Nov 07, 2016 03:07 AM #15

@JayHawkFanToo achilles

Nov 07, 2016 03:09 AM #16

@Crimsonorblue22

You are absolutely correct. I don't multi task that well anymore. LOL.

Nov 07, 2016 01:01 PM #17

@Texas-Hawk-10

Would be a terrible decision for Minnesota to let him go anywhere with the Salary Cap increase where it's at. I'm sure Wiggins would be loved in Toronto if they ever got the opportunity to get him.

Nov 07, 2016 02:21 PM #18

@BeddieKU23 Once Wiggins becomes a free agent, not much Minnesota could do if Wiggins decided to leave.

Nov 07, 2016 02:48 PM #19

@Texas-Hawk-10 Wiggins has said before he loves where he's at, who knows.

Nov 07, 2016 03:22 PM #20

@BeddieKU23 Salary cap increase is making it more intriguing to stay put too. The T-Wolves will be able to offer him 20% more than anyone else can... Plus I see him enjoying being in Minnesota where he doesn't have near the spotlight he might somewhere else. I'd say he has a better chance at staying in Minnesota than leaving.

Nov 07, 2016 03:32 PM #21

Has anyone else noticed that JoJo leads the NBA in 3pt%

http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/3-points ↗

Nov 07, 2016 03:41 PM #22

@Statmachine 4-4 the other night against the Cavs. He made that game go down to the wire. Philly could actually win a few games when they start playing Embiid more minutes.

Nov 07, 2016 03:44 PM #23

I just noticed Wiggins is #2 on that same list

Nov 07, 2016 03:45 PM #24

JoJo #2 in blocks per game

http://www.espn.com/nba/statistics/player/_/stat/blocks/sort/avgBlocks/year/2017/seasontype/2 ↗

Nov 07, 2016 04:27 PM #25

@Statmachine #1 in blocks per 48. By a lot...

Nov 07, 2016 04:35 PM #26

@chriz I think Kentucky would blow us away if you looked at pro stats. Towns and Davis to start. Every time I look at Minny's box score to see how Wiggins did Karl Anthony has huge numbers. John Wall, wow, really good. Randle is putting up numbers. I think I saw Kentucky has 23 pros this year, Duke 20, and us 15.

Nov 07, 2016 04:42 PM #27

I'm still waiting for Wiggins to be a stat stuffer. He's not. He scores nicely and has 1 assist and 3 RB typically it seems.

I'm wondering why Gooden didn't catch on with anyone this year. Seems to run with some different team every year, produces nicely, and then gets released. I always assumed that he's maybe not the best teammate, but not sure with him.

Nov 07, 2016 04:48 PM #28

@wissoxfan83 have you watched Wiggs play?

Nov 07, 2016 04:49 PM #29

@Crimsonorblue22 A little bit here and there. But I'm a stats guy and he's not filling the stat sheet.

Nov 07, 2016 05:06 PM #30

@wissoxfan83

Stats stuffers seldom make the team better. Wiggins is neither an alpha dog nor a stat stuffer, he is the ultimate team players.

Nov 07, 2016 06:20 PM #31

@JayHawkFanToo I'm thinking of the two best stat stuffers in recent memory, MJ and Lebron who have, if I'm counting correctly 9 titles between them! By stat stuffers I'm thinking of Pts, RB's and Assists. And I certainly don't watch enough TWolve basketball to know if it's OK if Wiggs isn't filling the stat sheet, but I guess I've always wondered why he doesn't produce more assists and boards.

Nov 07, 2016 06:29 PM #32

@wissoxfan83

Wiggins position is SF whose primary responsibility is not rebounding or assists but scoring; PF and Centers are the primary rebounders and guards do the assists. He has a career average of ~20 points, 4+ rebounds and 2+ assists per game.

Nov 07, 2016 06:34 PM #33

Hopefully JoJo can win us the Rookie of the Year for the second time in 3 seasons, cant hurt in recruiting

Nov 07, 2016 06:46 PM #34

@kjayhawks

3 pick from KU, better than #1 from UK, #1 from Duke and #1 from LSU.

Nov 07, 2016 07:19 PM #35

@kjayhawks We need to get our Big Man U status back.

Nov 08, 2016 12:00 AM #36

@Crimsonorblue22 'Ole Roy said he loved where he was at and we all know how that turned out...Just sayin. *wink

Nov 08, 2016 12:00 AM #37

@Statmachine Omg yes! Thats so awesome!! Small sample size. But, its still Awesome!!

Nov 08, 2016 12:01 AM #38

@Statmachine Wow. Wiggs is shooting pretty darned good right now too.

Nov 08, 2016 12:03 AM #39

@JayHawkFanToo Yes, those are his averages. However, if he wants to elevate into All Star status he needs to add a few more boards and assists per game.

Nov 09, 2016 03:25 AM #40

Big night for Wiggins, hit 6 of 7 threes for a career high 36 points, 8 boards 1 steal and 2 assists

Nov 09, 2016 04:25 AM #41

@Lulufulu

Sounds like Wiggins read your post; keep posting...I mean seriously, and he will be POY. LOL.

Nov 10, 2016 11:04 PM #43

@Kubie Heheheh! Yeah, that was freekin awesome! Sorry Withey, you got schooled man. Hell yes Joel is gonna be the next Olajuwon! Come on man, get serious.

Nov 10, 2016 11:09 PM #44

@Lulufulu

Didn't Xavier Henry posterized Withey as well? KU players cannot let this become a tradition...LOL...
