Prediction Time
Nov 25, 2016 10:11 PM #1

I predict some left over turkey sandwiches in my near future haha. KU will take the show on the road to end the season in Manhattan against the Mildcats of KSUCK, 11 am on FS1. We havent been able to really compete with these guys since the departure of MM. Snyder always gets his boys ready for this one regardless of how good we are. KSU has a solid defense, that will give us fits to move the chains. The key to me is make Ertz their QB pass the ball, he only has a 57% completion percentage to go with 7 TDs and 4 INTs. We have been gashed for years by running QBs, it just can't happen this week if we wish to keep the magic going. The defense must continue creating turnovers and getting after the QB. I really want to think we can go compete in this but we never seem to, even tho there is little talent gap they get the better of us in a bad way. I think we can keep close for awhile ill say KSU 41 KU 13 RCJH.

Nov 25, 2016 10:26 PM #2

KSU name their score
KU 0

Nov 25, 2016 10:38 PM #3

I said I would do the same thing as the UT game so what hell. KU pulls off the upset, ends the road losing streak and ends Snyder's career 28-27 when KSU misses a FG to win at the end of the game.

Nov 25, 2016 11:18 PM #4

@kjayhawks After that Epic win last week, They'll put some points on the board. But if KSU is even a little bit removed from being BCS eligible, then KU probly wont win an Away game.

Nov 25, 2016 11:48 PM #5

I predict switching over to UM tOSU a lot.

Nov 26, 2016 02:59 AM #6

@Texas-Hawk-10 In Texas-hawk-10 we trust.

Nov 26, 2016 04:57 PM #7

I believe KU will stay competitive in the first half and KSU will pull away in the second. I sure hope I am wrong and KU pulls a second upset in a row to end the season on what would be an ubber high note.

Nov 26, 2016 05:00 PM #8

I'm off to do some Christmas shopping, kick some ass today Jayhawks!

Nov 26, 2016 05:53 PM #9

KSU holds a slim lead 6-3 at the end of the first but they have a drive going.

Nov 26, 2016 05:56 PM #10

Good Lord! KU is terrible at football. I now recall why I don't normally watch... Man it sucks to lose to KSU, I can't stand their fans.

Nov 26, 2016 05:57 PM #11

@dylans We need upgrades at linebackers they will continue to just pound the ball until we stop it

Nov 26, 2016 05:58 PM #12

@kjayhawks ertz is running rough shod over our d.

Nov 26, 2016 06:00 PM #13

And thats where they blow it wide open

Nov 26, 2016 06:11 PM #14

@kjayhawks KU does have a second and third stringer starting at LB right now so they aren't going to be as good as Dineen or Roberts. Building depth is a big part of the process and it doesn't happen in 1 recruiting class.

Nov 26, 2016 06:20 PM #15

@Texas-Hawk-10 dineen and Roberts injured but dineen will have another 2 years

Nov 26, 2016 06:21 PM #16

What a hit, Ewwww

Nov 26, 2016 06:28 PM #17

@Texas-Hawk-10 I know that, but they have been playing all year.

Nov 26, 2016 06:36 PM #18

Defense did a decent job of bending and not breaking, that pick 6 is very costly. If not for that i would say we have a slim chance but no way i see us coming back from 17 down on the road. Lets just play hard and keep it respectable.

Nov 26, 2016 06:37 PM #19

@kjayhawks getting to ertz is helpful

Nov 26, 2016 06:43 PM #20

@Crimsonorblue22 I think it is currently Shaw that is spy on him and not doing a good job, he has to be there if he takes off.

Nov 26, 2016 06:46 PM #21

Our O-Line has our playcalling so limited right now.

DTs aren't even rushing just getting hands up to take away the middle/drag routes. Can't block long enough to throw down the field so CBs are playing 8 yards off and just coming up because they know we can't throw a deep ball. Safeties are way up and just filing on the run. And after seeing Stanley throw the ball 60 yards, he has the arm to throw it down the field a bit. Adding a TE to chip and run to the flats would be a good adjustment at this point just to give us some extra time.

A trick play might help to loosen up the D. We need a big play to get a little momentum.

Nov 26, 2016 06:48 PM #22

Also, an overloaded side with receivers might be able to draw 1v1 with Sims. Put 4 wide on the right and let Sims try and work the left all by himself.

Nov 26, 2016 06:48 PM #23

@Kcmatt7 Yes id like to see that shovel pass more along with some boot legs to help give carter some time and throwing lanes. we are getting beat in the trenches badly on offense

Nov 26, 2016 06:50 PM #24

@kjayhawks along with the shovel, have we ran a tunnel screen all season? We need to make them pay for being so aggressive on the edges and blitzing linebackers

Nov 26, 2016 06:54 PM #25

You guys like the Herman hiring for UT? Personally, I'd think UT could find another guy from a P5 program, but apparently the boosters think they need to reopen the Houston recruiting area.

Nov 26, 2016 06:57 PM #26

@Kcmatt7 It will be interesting because he's never had this kind of pressure or lead a big time program same could be said for Strong when he was hired

Nov 26, 2016 06:58 PM #27

Thats what i'm saying. They have gone two non p5 coaches in a row... A little balsy. Petrino would have been my #1 choice. He had Western Kentucky in the top 25 before he went to Louisville and now has them set up to be a solid program.

Nov 26, 2016 07:00 PM #28

Not to mention his great run at Arkansas before his fiasco.

Nov 26, 2016 07:02 PM #29

That was so dumb

Nov 26, 2016 07:05 PM #30

@Kcmatt7 UT wasn't going two Louisville coaches in a row after Strong. Herman is a good hire and UT will be loaded for the next couple of years with the classes Strong was putting together at Texas before this year. Herman wipp.keep recruiting going because he had UH landing top 40 classes which is amazing for a non P5 program. It's all going to come down to how well Herman's staff recruits Houston and if they can make Houston 50/50 for Texas instead of just about every elite Houston recruit going to A&M or LSU.

Nov 26, 2016 07:09 PM #31

@Texas-Hawk-10 I didn't even think about the two Louisville coaches in a row.

Herman definitely has talent to work with at least. As much fun as it has been watching UT suck it up lately, we need them to get back to being THE football program in Texas.

Nov 26, 2016 07:12 PM #32

Ive been pretty disappointed in our return game all season. You'd think it would be a point of emphasis for us. A way to score and flip the field when you have such a poor offense... But special teams has not looked like a priority.

Nov 26, 2016 07:12 PM #33

our kick return blocking is a damn joke.

Nov 26, 2016 07:19 PM #34

Blocking on kick and punt returns has been terrible all year.

This will be the biggest thing that holds Beaty back if he can't delegate and he the head coach.

Nov 26, 2016 07:19 PM #35

Lol that possession was a joke. A "screen" to the RB. A bubble to the RB where the Oline doesn't have time to get out to block doesn't work.

Then the check down bubble to him again? Beaty should have ripped his ass for that. 3rd and 7 and we are down 4 scores, throw the ball for the first down. At this point, the worst has already happened. If you throw a pick you throw a pick. Try to win and score.

Nov 26, 2016 07:28 PM #36

@Kcmatt7 Stanley doesn't have the arm to stretch the field and why he didn't get a shot until a couple of games ago.

Stanley is a great back up because he can come in and manage games, but he's not going to win games on his own. The starting QB next year either needs to Starks or Bender. Bender can stretch the field like all Mike Leach QB's and Starks brings a true dual threat aspect to the QB position.

Nov 26, 2016 07:29 PM #37

@Texas-Hawk-10 Agreed

Nov 26, 2016 07:29 PM #38

@Kcmatt7 said:

Nailed it.

We need quality big uglies. Big time.

Nov 26, 2016 07:30 PM #39

@Texas-Hawk-10 Arm looked pretty good right there....

Nov 26, 2016 07:30 PM #40

Wow good pass and play call.

Nov 26, 2016 07:31 PM #41

Same play as texas come on wtf beaty

Nov 26, 2016 07:32 PM #42

@Kcmatt7 One good throw every once in a while doesn't equal a good arm. Stanley consistently misses his deep attempts pretty badly and are usually under thrown.

Nov 26, 2016 07:44 PM #43

@Texas-Hawk-10 My point isn't really whether he has a good arm or not. My point is that, down 4 scores and a 3rd and 7, you throw the ball at least 7 yards. I don't care who is QB or if the guy throwing the ball has no arms. You have to at least attempt to get 7 yards.

You don't "manage" a game when you are down big. You have to try to win. If we throw 4 picks and lose 66-9, well what is the difference than if we lose 40-12? There is no more "managing" the game at this point. Chuck it all over and hope that good things happen.

Nov 26, 2016 07:53 PM #44

Wow o looking better!

Nov 26, 2016 07:55 PM #45

I agreed with the guys calling the game, why not try to throw the ball down the field earlier in the game, thats KSUs weakness on D.

Nov 26, 2016 07:56 PM #46

@Kcmatt7 You want Stanley to stretch the field when he has consistently shown he doesn't have the arm to make those types of throws regularly. I'd much rather see plays called to the strength of the QB which for Stanley is to move the pocket and give him run/pass options with short to medium depth routes that he can make on a consistent basis. Stanley throwing over the top is going to result in lots of picks and incompletions.

Nov 26, 2016 07:57 PM #47

Nice job

Nov 26, 2016 07:58 PM #48

Fun!

Nov 26, 2016 08:00 PM #49

Stanley having a good half here.

Nov 26, 2016 08:04 PM #50

@Texas-Hawk-10 Sure do. When you are losing badly.

Nov 26, 2016 08:09 PM #51

Keep in mind guys KSU beat us with a 6-7 team LY in lawrence 45-14, we clearly are better just no enough better

Nov 26, 2016 08:20 PM #52

We aren't as far off as I thought. Not sure what that says about KSU....

Nov 26, 2016 08:28 PM #53

@BShark We can be a 4-5 win team next season. If our O-Line and QB play is serviceable, who knows what could happen...

I would be extremely pleased with this.

Nov 26, 2016 08:37 PM #55

Kentucky just upset Louisville at Louisville. Ohio St. just tied it with 1 second left.

Nov 26, 2016 08:38 PM #56

KSU holds off KU 34-19, KU had chances but 3 turnovers ended up being costly.

Nov 26, 2016 09:00 PM #57

Stanley's weak 4th quarter fumble summarizes the year for the offense. I'm thrilled with the defense and know it will continue to improve next year. The offense just isn't going to get better until we locate a real D1 quarterback. I do appreciate all the effort and sacrifices by all our players. RCJH

Nov 27, 2016 01:18 AM #58

I predict a 34 - 19 loss by our Jayhawks.
