Feb 26, 2017 07:21 AM #1

Nova and the Zags both went down at home,we are moving on up! This sets things up for Coach next Saturday to end his losing streak down in Stoolwater. Rock Chalk.

@autohawk
Stoolwater.... I have to admit, I had a chuckle at that 😏

@autohawk WOW....what great news to wake up to.......Stoolwater...PHOF...LOLOL.....

We should be #1 this week with the overall #1 seed.

Anyone watch the Arizona ucla game?
Those bruins look very very good, tough big men, good guards,...
Let's hope they are nowhere near us in the tournament

Feb 26, 2017 01:54 PM #6

I would not mind a 2 or 3, let the guys play with a chip

@AsadZ I think there is an urgency about soon-to-be-departed players, playing in their final 5weeks in a KU jersey, and they know it: Frank, Josh, Landen, Devonte? I think they know this is their final run. Hopefully it is a fitting "legacy" run, simply for their sake.

@Bosthawk
I did catch some of that game and thought exactly the same thing. Those guys were huge and looked really good. I too hope we don't play either of those teams until the final rounds.

With the AP 1, Gonzaga, 2, Villanova, and 4 Arizona all losing this week, it sure seems KU will be No. 1 on Monday. Only UCLA at 5 should challenge KU, since it beat Arizona. For me, it's just a lot of fun to be number 1, even if it's for a short time. All the KU haters can just sit and spin. Not many D1 programs get that No. 1 ranking and some never get there. I feel the opposite. I want to play them and have an down/up game. By that I mean, we shut them down and shut the Pac 12 media up. Yes, Bill Walton, I mean you.

@AsadZ Agree, I'm not sure I want as # 1 at this minute.- -Let's stay # 2 or # 3 and a # 1 seed .I think people could be right very well might be # 1 this week with Villanova losing this week and then Gonzaga losing and that was at Gonzaga. - -Kind of strange they gave a stat Gonzaga had been beat 6 times over a period of years and BYU had given them three of those losses, got their number. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Ralster, these guys are veterans, they should be well aware that being #1 would matter in early April but not just yet, let Gonzaga and Villanova enjoy the top weekly rankings

Last year, the team did not show up for the game and it was an embarrassing blowout. I would like to see a little fight from our guys because you know the cowgirls are going to be ready, they always seem to be. The last time we won there was in 2013 which means this senior class has not won there yet.

I try to watch as many UCLA games as possible. I am a huge Lonzo fan. Their offense is legit... but their defense is marginal. I like our chances against UCLA. I think our athleticism creates a matchup issue for them. I don't see how they stop our offense, at all. I see a better chance that we step up on defense and slow down their offense.

I'm happy to play any western teams.... UCLA, Arizona, Oregon, Gonzaga....

Ball is a lot of fun to watch. My father is a huge Bruin fan and I told him Ball was going to change their team. He doesn't keep up with the recruits so he didn't believe me after their losing season. Recently he goes this is the best kid to come through UCLA in a long time. I agreed, he's such an unique talent.

The Ball's father is a complete moron though. He's making headlines for all the wrong reasons lately

@drgnslayr

UCLA has started to play defense and they are getting much better at it.

Feb 27, 2017 09:41 PM #17

@JayHawkFanToo

They have improved their defense some. I just question if it is enough against top teams. I don't view Arizona as a top team.

If they can play good defense, they will be impossible to stop because just imagine how much offense a team like UCLA can create off their defense!

@drgnslayr

Arizona is a pretty good team; I would not like to see it in Marrch.

@BeddieKU23

Your dad should love the Ball Brothers! There are 3 and it appears that all will go to UCLA.

In a recent game against Mater Dei, the 2 younger went 17-65 from the field! The middle Ball is barely a D-1 player IMO. The younger one is definitely more like Lonzo, shoots the ball from half court but is small.
