I can't take credit for these stats. I jacked them from the Phog but thought they were worth sharing here.

The away record for KU is unbelievable.

If Texas played to its potential, it would be likely 3 or no worse than 4, instead they sit at 7; amazing how poorly Smart has done so far.

@BeddieKU23 This cracks me up! Hilton magic my ass. 6th best home record in the conference the past 13 seasons... And that is excluding WVU.

@JayHawkFanToo I had that unbelievable song stuck in my head yesterday, thx😳

@Kcmatt7

I seem to remember a lot of down years for Iowa St early in Self's tenure.

If we take that into consideration the 4 good years under Hoiberg + 2 from Prohm you get:

Hoiberg (2011-2014) - 32-4 at Hilton

Prohm (2015-Current) - 14-4 at Hilton

48-8 over the past 6 years is a good home court advantage I'd say.

Overall the numbers show a different story. I did leave out Hoiberg's first year as I remember him having a disaster of a roster to play with that year.

KU's away record is better than ISU's home record.

I was surprised to see KU is the only team with a winning record on the road also.

@dylans

it's even crazier to think the difference to 2nd place on the road is 34 games!

Most important stat KU has won 17 of 21 B12 championships..... Unbelievable.

@BeddieKU23 I don't expect them to be any better next year... Let's be honest. Hoiberg is an elite level coach. I hope he ends up back in the college game. He is a class act and a great basketball mind. I have a feeling he will be back in the college game sooner than later. And I'll be glad to have him back.

@Kcmatt7

Yeah we know ISU is headed for a down year unless they find themselves 2-3 starters in the transfer market. Wigginton is going to be a terror, possibly the best player ISU has ever signed. We'll see how long they are down, Prohm isn't Hoiberg..

ISU Home record in 13 seasons: 72-38

There are 5 teams listed with more home wins. If this is true (and maybe this is the data error) it makes me question that so-called "Hilton Magic."

@BeddieKU23 what is the home away for wvu out of curiosity (sorry so lazy)? I'd imagine Morgantown magic is going to be strong as long as Huggie is there.

Mar 08, 2017 12:32 PM #13

Total an utter domination. That man should be in the HOF!

Mar 08, 2017 12:33 PM #14

@approxinfinity

30-15 at home. (21-6) the last 3 seasons though as Huggy Bear has dialed in the press.

21-24 away. (15-12) last 3 seasons

Overall- Huggins is 51-39 in Big-12 play. KU must find a way to win in Morgantown next season..
