What a nice surprise the lady's volley Ball program has been in the last few years. The have now established themselves as a to tier program and hopefully they can keep it at that level for a long time.

9 KU plays #13 UK in women’s volleyball at 1:00 PM today. The game will be on ESPN3, but since it is in Lawrence it will be likely be blacked out in Kansas thanks to Zenger’s stupid deal…I will have to stream it using my cell phone hot spot that bypasses the local address.

My cable provide does have access to ESPN 3 but not for blacked out programs like this game. It does not have access to the Time Warner Metro Sports channel which only Comcast does (Time Warner and Comcast were merging). AT&T and Google, the other cable providers in KC do not have access to Metro Sports either. I know most KU fans in the KC Metro are are blacked out which is utterly stupid since it is has the highest concentration of KU fans in the country...and it is not just the Kansas side, the entire metro area including Missouri is blacked out.

To watch the game I have to connect a laptop to my cell phone hot spot and connect the laptop to the big screen tv...a royal PIA. I still hate $%^#$ Zenger

You could move to SEC country here in South Cackalackee. You would be force fed Gamecock football on every media outlet, in every TV commercial, and on all cars , trucks, and DUI-mobiles (mopeds) until you puke. But you could see everything KU-related on TW and ESPN3.

TW is, of course, now Spectrum, because TW had the world's worst company reputation. How many companies have ever tried to reduce their brand-name recognition?

Twc is now spectrum sports on Cox or Jayhawk network. I don't get espn 3 either. I'd pay extra to get it. Love the pre and post game fb and bb reports too.

Comcast is by far the worst when it comes to costumer service/support. They will be a good match to Time Warner.

My local provider, Consolidated Communications is not nearly as bad but not as good as SureWest, the company they took over was, or Everest the company SureWest bought out. No question that Everest, the original company the started the fiber optic service in the KC area, has the best support and customer service but it has gotten worse every time it was absorbed by a bigger firm.

I have the entire sports tier from my cable provider but the Time Warner/Spectrum sports channel that carries KU programming is not even an option. I contacted them and indicated that Time Warner made it prohibitively costly (probably as part of the deal with KU) and neither Consolidated nor AT&T or Google, the other providers in the Metro are carry it, only Time Warner and Comcast.

Gosh my bad luck, ku football is now 0-8 with me in the stands and I tried to get VB tickets but it was sold out. Ladies came out on fire after losing the third set; good win. Playing in the big arena with so few fans looks more like practice than a game. I like the KU set up better and with the planned improvements the new place will be awesome.

I said that programs like the UConn women's basketball loses 2 or 3 All American year in and year out and continues to win big and it has set the standard for continued excellence for a program. Hopefully KU can do something similar and become a top 10 fixture moving forward; the new upgraded facility will certainly help.

Texas takes the second set 27-25 and to be honest we completely gave it away, was up 15-10 and 22-18 could end up being very costly. Couple of severe errors and hits that were just barely out of bounds hurt.

Texas takes the 4th 25-10 in set that honestly looked like Kansas intentionally threw because they had money on it going to five. Been watching KU VB the last probably five years since they got decent and are on TV from time to time and that's the worst set I've ever seen.

Texas wins the fifth set 17-15, disappointing that we gave away the second set up 4 late and seemed to just not give a shit in the 4th. We had our chances on to the next one as they say.

Well. - - - that sucks. - -What the hell happened in the 4th set. - -I mean damn. - -Our ladies looked really bad in the 4th, I do believe that really took it's toll in the 5th set. - -Then come out in the 5th set and fall behind 4-1 - -you just can't do that in a set such as that. - The 4th set we just wet all over ourselves looked horrible.- -We had so much energy for about the first set and a half then you could see it coming.

One thing I saw or at least thought/looked like - The ladies our sets were being set up so deep on the back line. - -Seemed like most the night w were having to attack seem to deep, seemed Aveli was struggling sitting the hitters up awfully deep sets.

Kansas sweeps Baylor 25-14, 25-22, 25-14 was never really in doubt. KU trailed only briefly in the second set. Nice to get another win vs the top 25 and see no hang over from Texas. Here is the current B12 standings:

The girls have to find some consistency if they want to make another run this year. I'm sure what the problem is, one set they look great, the next they look lost as can be. IMO they should be 21-1 and ranked in the top 3 because the Texas and Santa Clara games we gave away.

Well the ladies won last night. - -Pretty well stunk it up the 1st set losing 14-25 - -but came back played well won the last 3.

Didn't realize Madison was hurt - last night was the 2nd contest she has been out. - -Showed a picture of her today in the LJW -stating looks like she has lost a lot of weight - -she doesn't look good.

Kansas was just swept at home by #23 Baylor and drops to third place in the B12. They were never really in it besides the second set where they blew a 15-8 lead. Rigdon is still out with an injury so I figured this would be a tough one, just didn't expect to get spanked on our own floor. Kansas has finished in the top 2 of the big 12 for 4 straight years, that probably just ended today.

I've got this feeling going to be a short stay this year. - -Some are saying they have chemistry issues, al I know is they haven't played up to their abilities all year long.

Kelsie sure wasn't the same this year a she was the two previous - -I think not having Cassie hurt us more then what we might know, she was unbelievable.

Of course us losing Madison for that stretch didn't help us any either, but I just don't feel very confident at all about this weekend. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

On the positive side, KU has a better record on the road (9-3) than a home (8-4) and it is 5-0 at neutral sites. Currently ranked #19 by the NCAA RPI, WSU is #14, MU is #34 and Radford #60.

Man the ladies in the end run this season - - -under achieved greatly. - -for the returning talent they had on this roster, they UNDER ACHIEVED. - then the real dagger is losing to the sorry shits fuzzou.

@Crimsonorblue22 yes, it’s hard to not blame coach RB. This recent up tick was nice and people are giving the newer assistants a lot of credit. But where do we go from here? Anyone that played big minutes from the FF and B12 title teams is gone. I’ll tell you this if Ray can’t get it going in the new building and we dip back down to a average program again. He should be fired. Sad all the hype our fall sports got and the way it ended.

Hard to tell what happened to the team, the talent and experience (8 seniors) was there but somehow the team fell appart half way through the season; I will guess that unreported injuries had a lot to do with it. Coach Bechards has slowly built the program into a contender and next season will be in full rebuild mode so expectation should not be high. It will take a lot more than a couple of subpar seasons to fire Coach Bechard. If Coach Beatie can keep his job with the results he has had to date then Coach Bechard should be very safe.

Secondly Kelsie was just not the Kelsie of previous years , they talked about how she struggled last night during the match. - -True she ended with double digit kills , BUT the amount of swings it took for her to get those double digit kills was pretty large. - -Something just seemed out of kilter with her for a big majority of the season.

Then I don't know maybe reading more into it then is there, but just seemed like we missed Cassie Waite more then what people may of realized, she was so instrumental during the years past Just seemed like for most the season the chemistry - - -timing was just off all season a bit.

Very true next season going to be hard - going to be rebuilding, but yet we still have some good pieces back I think. - - Alexander is back 6'4 hits the ball very well - -I think Zoe Hill is back , dam can't think of her name at the minute but the girl that replaced Cassie is back - -dam what is her name again? - -I think Coach is going to work hard, not in any danger of being fired that's crazy no way is he close to being fired.
