Once again we have heard pretty much how the Big 12 is the toughest conference in the Nation - -the # 1 conference. Just read a pretty good article off ESPN also stating as much.

The article states that the Big 12 for the 5th consecutive season is the # 1 league in the Nation in terms of top to bottom statistical strength. Currently 8 teams entertaining realistic shots of being in the tourney, talking about how this weekend will go along ways in determining how the hopes play out. - Also stating for the rest of the season how the Big 12 will be the center of all the bubble drama as far as the tourney goes.

So with that being said and being proven that we are indeed the # 1 conference -- - -AGAIN at least accordingly statistically wise - -Friends it's time that this conference PROVE OURSELVES in the tourney - -back these things up.- - -We beat each other up all year and we here how tough it is in this league - -and we do beat each other up- -I agree and it is tough -BUT we have just got to back it up come tourney time we have got to prove ourselves.

To many years we get 6-7tteams in the tourney and then just wet all over ourselves and most are out by the 2nd weekend, then we get to hear - -once AGAIN about how our conference is so over rated - people saying no wonder why KU wins this league every year. - -we fold like cheap suits when it's time to stand up- --stand out. - We have got to put this baby to bed. I think we end up with 7 in the tourney - -we have got to show, back the facts up, make these other teams pay.

I don't know about you all but I for one am tired of hearing how our league is so over rated. - Its time for teams to step up - - Time for West Virginia to step up - - It's time for Texas Tech to step up - - -It's time for TCU to step up - - It's time for KU to STEP UP ! ! ! ! - no more of this one and done exits - we need to represented in the sweet sixteen - the elite 8 and even possibly final four. - -we need at least 3 teams in the sweet 16 possibly 2-3 teams in the elite 8.

I think KU - - Texas Tech -& - - - West Virginia need to carry this conference with respect show the Nation that YES we do play basketball here in the Midwest - .It's time to take accountability enough is enough-prove ourselves - show ourselves to yes truly be worthy of the title of the toughest conference - shut these clowns up. = = ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I think we have 10 good teams. No bad ones. That's what makes it tough. We don't have any great teams. I don't think you could say any of our teams are final four threats. That doesn't mean one of them couldn't get in there....we could for sure if we are hot at the right time. You could say that about a lot of teams. I think MSU, Purdue, and maybe even OSU have shown to be better than those at the top of the B12. Now, the B10, for instance, has some teams that aren't so hot. That is where the B12 is stronger than the other conferences. IMO

Even if all B12 teams routinely flame out before the F4, no other coaches are thrilled to see B12 teams in their brackets.

hmmm...so when did ESPN become credible? i thought from all the posts there ESPN is garbage and they have no clue and all they do is kiss UNC and Duke's asses?

Big 12 the toughest conference? seriously? whatever you are smoking, i'll have it. WVU is garbage team and they proved it again today..JFC...how many times can a team lose from having a double digit lead. OU on a losing streak..they sucked to begin with, just catching up. TT is nothing more than an anomaly. When it does matter, they will shit the bed. Everyone else just blows. Just becuase KU has a down year doesn't automatically make the league tough. Give me a break...i'm tried of hearing this garbage. glad i don't come on here much.

BIG 12 is and has been the most overrated conference. You can point to all the articles and stats..but history speaks other wise.

@elpoyo I think you might have missed the point of @jayballer73’s thread. It appeared to me to recognize that we are overrated as conference until we prove ourselves in March. And it is time for the Big 12 to finally do so.

@Buster-1926 This is probably a challenging situation for HEM, who has previously worked hard to defend Los Chicken.
