CFB Week 4 - Degenerates thread
Sep 22, 2018 12:41 PM #1

Alright, I sort of sucked last week. But I'm already 3/3 this week after last night, so I'm feeling good.

  • PSU -28 v Illini +28 : Pick - PSU +28
  • WSU v USC O/U 51 : Pick - Over
  • UCF -14.5 v FAU +14.5 : Pick: UCF

I hit on all of those ^^^

Now for todays games I actually picked.

  • Nevada v Toledo O/U 67 : Pick - Over
  • Florida -4 v Tennesee +4 : Pick - Florida
  • KSU v WVU O/U 58 : Pick - Over
  • TCU -3.5 v UT +3.5 : Pick - TCU
  • NIU ML +310 v FSU -400 : Pick - NIU
  • Clemson - 16.5 v GT +16.5 : Pick - Clemson

Other good games that I like today:

  • Georgia-15 v Mizzou +15 : Pick - Georgia
  • North Texas - 13.5 v Liberty +13.5 : Pick UNT
  • Tech v OSU O/U 76 : Pick - Over until it is in the mid 80s for tech lol.
  • Kent St. v Ole MIss - 29.5 : Pick Ole Miss

I also love the O/U 58 on the Georgia v Mizzou game and the O/U 42 on the Wisconsin v Iowa game.

Fun facts for you guys.

Mike Gundy is 63% against the spread. Urban Meyer is 61%. Bill Snyder is 59%. Saban is 58%. Chris Petersen is 56%.

And that is why its so hard for me to pick against KSU today. Somehow old balls is going to keep it under 16 points....

Sep 22, 2018 02:26 PM #4

@Kcmatt7 yeppp, snyder is always undervalued.

I like Missouri to cover today.

Sep 22, 2018 03:04 PM #5

@Kcmatt7

Snyder's gameplan is designed to keep KSU from getting blown out, so he should be okay against the spread today. Late KSU score keeps the margin within 2 tds.

@BShark @justanotherfan It was a close game the last time it was in Columbia, so it is definitely a good bet. I just don't think that Mizzou's D can stop Georgia. And so I think Georgia wins running away today. 49-27.

I do think KSU beats the spread. I bet they take the early lead, give it up in the 3rd quarter, and then keep it under three TDs to cover. Especially now that the line has moved all the way to 17.5.

Sep 22, 2018 03:48 PM #7

@Kcmatt7 Missouri's D is terrible but I think Lock keeps them in it.

Sep 22, 2018 04:51 PM #8

MONEY IN THE BANK so far.

Sep 22, 2018 04:51 PM #9

Jesus Christ Missouri....

Sep 22, 2018 04:55 PM #10

Mizzous D is playing as well as they can ask for. Lock isn't the reason they will get blown out. He's going to be a decent NFL QB I think

Sep 22, 2018 04:55 PM #11

Of course Georgia doesn't just run the ball in behind that wall of an offensive line... The corner fade is the worst play in football.

Sep 22, 2018 05:15 PM #12

Lol.

Sep 22, 2018 05:15 PM #13

Guy who blocked it is going to have to go into concussion protocol lol

You have to wonder how many idiot Nebraska fans already want Frost fired.

Sep 22, 2018 06:05 PM #16

@Kcmatt7 Many

Sep 23, 2018 02:19 AM #17

@Kcmatt7

Nebraska football is a mess.

Sep 23, 2018 02:20 AM #18

So much for KSU covering today. They are worse than I thought.

Sep 23, 2018 02:23 AM #19

@justanotherfan

Maybe WVU is better than you thought??? :smile:

I am very here for it.

Crazy to see some of the games today 0-3 Ole Dominion over VT, 0-3 Purdue over BC, Kentucky spanking Mississippi State, Tech smoking Ok State in Stillwater and Texas having little trouble with TCU. Looks like WVU and OU, who nearly blew it against army are the B12s only playoffs hopes just 4 weeks in.

Sep 23, 2018 03:09 AM #22

@justanotherfan I love that Nebraska is a dumpster fire, they fire Frank Solitch and Bo Pelinie who both averaged more than 9 wins a year. Then hired a guy like Mike Riley who had don’t nothing at Oregon State, their administration is foolish as can be.

Sep 23, 2018 03:31 AM #23

@kjayhawks I agree on Nebraska, but even though Pelini averaged 9 wins, he was heading to a major spectacular breakdown. He couldn't win the big one, acted as if he was having a heart attack on the sidelines on all those big games. Of course as a Badger, I enjoyed beating him all the time.

Sep 23, 2018 03:32 AM #24

Speaking of Badgers, we're about to lose our 2nd in a row. Really disappointing because this had all the marks of a final 4 team.

NOPE

Sep 23, 2018 03:59 AM #26

@BShark I knew it all along!

Sep 23, 2018 01:30 PM #27

@wissox Maybe next season is your season. The QB and RB are sophomores right?

Sep 23, 2018 03:25 PM #28

I think the qb is a Jr. He is very much not great.

Sep 23, 2018 08:50 PM #29

@BShark Yes QB is a servicable guy with another year. Probably won't be a pro. Taylor the RB gained 2000 yards as a freshman, so far not on track to repeat that, but very good. Receiving corps took a hit when their best senior got arrested for a sexual assault. If he did it, I could care less that we might be less formidable, send the creep away.

Sep 24, 2018 04:50 PM #30

@JayHawkFanToo

Perhaps both.
