**Means scrimmages are for charity. The NCAA has designated that teams cannot add an extra scrimmage for charity, so such an event must be completed among the team’s two available scrimmages.

Nova shot a lot of 3's -- - made a lot of 3's think they had like a 10 minute clock and 2 -5 minute clocks something like that they sid score really didn't actually mean that much

@KUSTEVE Eh, 5 points. That said these scrimmages are weird. What stuck out to me though is Bol Bol is still as soft as ever. 7'0'' and 1 rebound in 24 minutes? Yikes.

@BShark when Bill said he was going change the lineups, I wonder if Garrett gets a start a pg, or if KJ starts at the 3.

There's no crowd, and weird start times. Note that the KSU - Oregon scrimmage tipped at 10AM.

There are also weird rules, weird timing and just overall weird setups. For instance, there might be an agreement between the coaches that starters will play for 5 minutes, then subs for five minutes, then starters for five minutes. Most teams don't stagger their playing time like that, so it makes for weird results when all bench guys are in, or a starter that will play 28-32 mpg only plays 10 or 15.

It's mostly a chance to get some run against good competition.

KU needs to experiment with a small lineup of Lawson-Lawson-Garrett-Grimes-Dotson/Moore.

I would kick the tires on a K. Lawson-Garrett-Grimes-Dotson-Moore super small lineup.

These scrimmages don't give you much opportunity to do a super big lineup because the opposition doesn't have that kind of size.

This, but without Moore and you could throw Vick in there for Grimes or Garrett and not loose much could easily be KU's best line-up this season.

@BShark @justanotherfan Or you could run Grimes at PG and not have a player under 6'5 and literally switch everything. Could be deadly on both ends.

Grimes - Garrett - Vick - Lawson - Lawson

That also definitely works.

Or even running Garrett at PG and letting him just go ISO while the other 4 are ready for a catch and shoot. We may see the return of some bad ball this year.

Nope, still on the roster as a SR. WSU fans assured me he was a NPOY candidate and would leave early for the NBA. LOL.

Sorry I didn't watch it. Heard all about it from WSU people that hope he doesn't do that crap in a real game.

I'd rather see Quentin Grimes get some time at PG than Marcus Garrett. I'm not sure Garrett handles the ball well enough to be effective at point.

@stoptheflop Grimes is smooth. Both he and Garrett do a great job of keeping their heads up and on a swivel while dribbling.

"I just feel like my life I've always played with the ball in my hands," Garrett said. "Last year we had such good scorers and things like that, I didn't need to play with the ball, I just had to play off the ball and do the little things. So it's always been comfortable for me to play with the ball and score like that."
