Is there a list somewhere of who actually made a roster? I know Cole & TRob got cut. Did Malik hang on? It is just too much trouble to look at all the teams' rosters!

I see no Malik. He was with the Heat I believe.

@dylans I mean a list of players on this years's rosters by school. The overally players list is another one requiring wading through some 450 to 500 names. The sources I had found are usually way out of date. Maybe I can compile one, but it seems there would be a site doing this.

Newman just needs to go overseas. He won't see time in the NBA. He is too short and just not explosive enough of an athlete to hang. He is a great scorer and would probably flourish in Europe.

@mayjay

Here is a list ↗ that will tell you about every KU player that played at the next level.

Strongly agree with this. No shame in it either. NBA is a freakshow league. Newman will be an absolute stud in a league with slightly lower tier athletes.

@JayHawkFanToo That is a good example of the inaccuracies I was referring to. Cole? Darrell? Mario? Thanks for trying though!

Newman could succeed in the NBA, but only in a very specific role, which makes it very difficult. He would have to be a bench scorer leading the second unit in a role similar to Lou Williams. He would have to play with a bench unit that had a good rim protector and a bigger guard that could handle the ball so that he could play off the ball as a scorer, but wouldn't have to guard explosive wings on the other end. That's a lot of things that have to be in place for Malik to succeed in the NBA. Overseas may end up being where he lands if he can't find the perfect situation.

@mayjay

It is updated periodically and it is very handy to find former players; you can go way back and see some older Jayhawks and where they ended up playing.

Oct 26, 2018 02:00 AM #11

@JayHawkFanToo It does do that. But I want a list of active players, with teams, and their season stats, all nicely put together. I could probably create one, but the searching and constructing would cause a divorce since I am supposed to finish lots of projects before holiday visitors!

@mayjay

Here is the list of current players who donned the Jayhawk uniform at least once in their life. Once a Jayhawk, always a Jayhawk...even if your name is Micah, Conner, and/or JR.

Billy somewhat qualifies. I had hope for the kid at one point in my life...thus he makes the list.

Missing TRob, too?

Oct 31, 2018 02:09 AM #17

@mayjay he just got booted from Atlanta, guess it's been awhile.

Oct 31, 2018 02:10 AM #18

@mayjay poor Ben Mac! Sucks to be in sac

Oct 31, 2018 02:15 AM #19

@bmensch1 Look at Cole going to town! Over 18 ppg. Probably about 6 to 7 times his NBA avg for those bench years.

Oct 31, 2018 02:16 AM #20

@approxinfinity Different teams.

Oct 31, 2018 02:17 AM #21

@mayjay No fair Coles a giant in China. 😂

Oct 31, 2018 02:19 AM #22

@dylans Tell that to Yao.

Oct 31, 2018 02:40 AM #23

@mayjay That’s who I thought of as well once I hit send. But he doesn’t count it took the government putting the two tallest people in the country together to get that guy!

@dylans That Chinese manufacturing is hard to beat! But the product wasn't durable, unfortunately.

Josh Jackson better shape up. Shooting 36% fg, 26% on 3's, 36% on FT's. Suns got a bust. He simply can't shoot

Nov 01, 2018 12:11 PM #26

@BeddieKU23 They knew he couldn't shoot when they drafted him. They didn't take the time to fix it, and now here we are.

In the same regard maybe they did try and help him and he's just not capable of changing it?

This is how he played in summer league and nothing has changed.

The Suns are a joke so I can see it being an organizational fail as well.

He better soak in that rookie contract because he isn't getting a better one after

Nov 01, 2018 12:50 PM #28

@BeddieKU23 Certainly a possibility. I just tend to blame the Suns organization until proven otherwise. Either way, you're right. His NBA career is about to become a fight to stay in the league.

I'm with you on blaming the Suns as they tank their organization. Josh just looks like a square peg, round hole situation though. He can't shoot well enough and compounds the issue by taking shots he can't make efficiently. That's been his career coming up the ranks. It's on him now

I noticed in their box score this morning , your right , close - -he is really struggling - -may be a bust like you said. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Most amazing thing happened tonight. Wiggs went 0-12 and his teammate Robert Covington went 1-18, a combined 1-30 and their team won against the hapless Bulls by a score of 111-96. Some others shot much better, but I don't know if I ever saw such an ugly line for teammates.

Nov 25, 2018 04:45 AM #32

Wiggins also had ZERO fouls, steals and blocks. One rebound and one assist.

Nine points the night before with low #’s too.

Wonder what’s up? Sick?

Nov 25, 2018 05:03 AM #33

@Gorilla72 Maybe they had a blind scorer?

Nov 25, 2018 01:18 PM #34

Wiggins just had a bad stretch but he will be fine. He is averaging 15.5 ppg for the season.

Wiggins is who is he is. Being paid well over his worth to be a minimal impactful player on a team in turmoil after the Butler fiasco, in part because of him. Andrew just isn't what he was hyped to be and maybe the expectations placed on him were always above what he could possibly achieve.

Nov 28, 2018 07:51 PM #36

Wiggins has never looked like he enjoyed playing basketball ever. And my guess is that he doesn't. Which would be 99.9% of the reason he hasn't lived up to expectations.

Except when he plays Cleveland, that seems to be the one trigger for him. It just seems he doesn't have the mental aspect of the game down to be what he was projected to be. Some never get it.
