Doke is tough to officiate at the college level. Referees aren't sure what's contact and what's a push.

7 for 7 wow not sure I've seen that before. Remember JR going 6 for 6 in a half then 0 for 7 in the 2nd. Closet maybe DG hitting 5 in row vs WV but was 0-4 before hand.

Vick had a couple twos that were barely inside the line too.

So Dedric needs to let things come naturally. He is forcing things and it isn't paying off. Lamb is killing him on both ends.

Interesting that David didn't get in with how ineffective everyone but doke was. We may see more of a four guard line up than expected. The ball just moves so much better with 4 guards and if Vick, Grimes and Dotson came keep the defense honest by hitting 3s, we may need it to win games.

8-8 is a KU record for sure it may well be a ncaa record as well can’t find anything better so far

@tundrahok It was actually surprising how hard it is to find this record. Prob in NCAA record book but I deleted that pdf file when I ran too low on memory and needed to load something in a hurry.

As I rewatch the game, Fran made so many dumb comments. For instance, after a Doke dunk, it was “That’s what happens when you don’t double him!”. Doke had 2 men hanging on him and a third running right at him.

“Use every TV timeout to stay close.”

Just awful.... 🤯
