Looking for upset!šŸˆ

Nov 18, 2018 12:50 AM #2

I'll take covering the spread tonight and be happy about that.

Nov 18, 2018 12:51 AM #3

What if we win this thing? How much would that help Miles on the recruiting trail ?

Nov 18, 2018 12:53 AM #4

At least, no damn announcers are laughing at us!

Nov 18, 2018 12:54 AM #5

What are the chances we keep Pooka with Miles coming in?

Nov 18, 2018 12:54 AM #6

@approxinfinity high! Just me though!

Nov 18, 2018 12:56 AM #7

I think Pooka should be retained now.

ALSO WHAT IS EVEN HAPPENING??!?!!?

Nov 18, 2018 12:57 AM #8

We r fricking winning!šŸˆ

Nov 18, 2018 12:58 AM #9

Pookey?

Nov 18, 2018 12:58 AM #10

Nov 18, 2018 12:58 AM #11

@BShark better shut the tv down and go watch your pipe.šŸ™„

Lol. It's off, I'm fine.

Nov 18, 2018 01:00 AM #14

@BShark OU's defense has been pretty suspect all year, combined with coming out pretty flat and turning it over inside the 10.

Nov 18, 2018 01:00 AM #15

Nov 18, 2018 01:01 AM #16

Don't expect a KU win, but keeping it competitive was a possibility tonight because of OU looking ahead to OSU.

Nov 18, 2018 01:05 AM #17

Shoot, I could have hopped that in on my scoped knee

Nov 18, 2018 01:15 AM #18

OopsšŸ‘€

Nov 18, 2018 01:15 AM #19

My most hated school song

Nov 18, 2018 01:16 AM #20

Some crappy calls there!

Nov 18, 2018 01:25 AM #21

That was a nice sell

Nov 18, 2018 01:28 AM #22

I don't even know who blew that coverage

Nov 18, 2018 01:32 AM #23

Sims playing?

Nov 18, 2018 01:38 AM #24

A sparkšŸ”„

Nov 18, 2018 01:41 AM #25

I would actually like to see what Bender could've done with another offseason as the definitive #1. He's actually been pretty good since Meacham was fired and not having to look over his shoulder.

Nov 18, 2018 01:43 AM #26

I don't care what anyone else thinks, Beaty is leaving this program in much better shape than what he started with.

Nov 18, 2018 01:49 AM #27

Matt Leinart won't be laughing at KU at halftime this year even if OU scores again before half.

Nov 18, 2018 01:53 AM #28

Miles better find us some guys who can tackle.

Nov 18, 2018 01:56 AM #29

That should've been a late hit penalty and a free play for KU.

Nov 18, 2018 01:57 AM #30

Better review that and see some penalties for that after half.

Nov 18, 2018 01:59 AM #31

Just think if KU would have had a time-out or two for that drive.

Talk to me about the scholarship situation.

This is sarcastic, don't actually do it, but you get my point. It might be marginally better.

There is some real talent on this roster assuming it can be retained. A bowl in year 3 would be a success for the next staff imo.

I know you've cited Keegan for the scholarship numbers and Keegan was off on those because he didn't have any real access to the program because of his constant over the top attacks of Beaty that went well beyond professional criticism.

The scholarship situation isn't perfect, but it's not the hole many, including you have claimed it to be.

I don't even think it'll take Miles until year 3 to get to a bowl game. Considering how close KU was to being 5-5 entering this game and with what's returning on offense next season along with the secondary returning in tact along with some good pieces on the DLine like Kamara, I could see a bowl game next season or year 2 under Miles.

Nov 18, 2018 02:18 AM #34

All right!

Nov 18, 2018 02:20 AM #35

Pooka! Showing up ou!

Nov 18, 2018 02:21 AM #36

Pooka is going to love playing in Les Miles offense.

Nov 18, 2018 02:22 AM #37

Right back in it

Nov 18, 2018 02:22 AM #38

this game is still winnable!

Nov 18, 2018 02:23 AM #39

Nice drive! Good to hear the announcers give us some props for a change.

@Texas-Hawk-10 I am interested to see what kind of class can be put together. I'd probably be shocked if KU made a bowl next year though.

Nov 18, 2018 02:24 AM #42

@BShark I have not had cold water splashed on my face today.

Likely didn't have it nearly up to your knees either! :skull:

Nov 18, 2018 02:28 AM #47

@approxinfinity of course!

Nov 18, 2018 02:28 AM #48

Be nice to get a stop!

Nov 18, 2018 02:29 AM #49

Just not sure the defense can make enough plays. Which, I mean, OU has an ELITE offense. I do really appreciate the effort from the team today.

Nov 18, 2018 02:29 AM #50

The mayor!

Nov 18, 2018 02:29 AM #51

@BShark This is true. I don't envy you; I've been there very recently. The line from the water main up to my house was leaking badly when we moved in, and I had to have a guy dig it up and replace it. Not cheap.

Nov 18, 2018 02:30 AM #52

Crap

Nov 18, 2018 02:31 AM #53

If anyone wants to fumble right about now for OU, we'd take it.

Nov 18, 2018 02:34 AM #54

That’s terrible defense on that 3rd down

Nov 18, 2018 02:34 AM #55

Kylar Murray is pretty fast.

Nov 18, 2018 02:34 AM #56

approxinfinity said:

KU already used that one up in the first quarter.

Woodrow said:

Bad angle... :/

Nov 18, 2018 02:38 AM #58

Murray is the best player in the game tonight and in the B12. There's a reason he was a top 10 pick in the MLB draft this year and could have been a future NFL draft pick had he chosen that route.

Nov 18, 2018 02:38 AM #59

@BShark two guys took awful angles there. Should have been a easy stop and a field goal.

Nov 18, 2018 02:44 AM #60

Wellp.

Nov 18, 2018 02:47 AM #61

Yeah, game over now.

Nov 18, 2018 02:53 AM #62

Yeahhhh too bad. It could have been magical.

Nov 18, 2018 02:53 AM #63

Well, shoot. Gained some respect in prime time. Hate to die second half

Nov 18, 2018 02:54 AM #64

I can not wait until they get a legit QB. It’s beem too damn long.

Nov 18, 2018 02:54 AM #65

KU was competitive with Oklahoma in Norman for basically 3 quarters. No shame in that considering the current state of the program.

I don't think very many people thought KU would still be in the game most of the way through the 3rd quarter.

Nov 18, 2018 02:55 AM #66

Facemask?

Nov 18, 2018 02:56 AM #67

I thought so too

Nov 18, 2018 02:56 AM #68

I’m going to be very sad if Pooka transfers out after this year. He’s so fun to watch.

Nov 18, 2018 02:58 AM #69

@Woodrow hoping he gets a lotta accolades after this season

Nov 18, 2018 03:01 AM #70

Maybe Beaty can have the free state fb job.

Nov 18, 2018 03:01 AM #71

Crimsonorblue22 said:

He should get Freshmen All American, 1st team All B12, and probably Newcomer of the Year in the B12.

He could also end up being Preseason Offensive POY next year as well.

Nov 18, 2018 03:02 AM #72

I hate to say it, but I almost wish that Pooka didn't have a great game tonight. Now that he got national TV exposure, what are the odds we keep him?
I think of what Sam Phillips of Sun Records said when he heard Elvis do "Don't Be Cruel" : "Man, he's gone now."

Nov 18, 2018 03:02 AM #73

Aren't they all Louisiana people too? Will miles keep anyone to keep kids?

Nov 18, 2018 03:04 AM #74

Pooka's been practicing his passing skills.

Nov 18, 2018 03:05 AM #75

Beaty is the happiest he's been in a long time!

Nov 18, 2018 03:06 AM #76

@nwhawkfan if he can play like that against ou, maybe that will be positive for us. He'll be happy! I bet Beaty tells him to stay unless he's going somewhere, and wants to take him.

Nov 18, 2018 03:10 AM #77

Lil speedy guy

I imagine Hull will be retained.

Nov 18, 2018 03:13 AM #79

@BShark will hull want to? Promote him?

Nov 18, 2018 03:14 AM #80

Crimsonorblue22 said:

Well, he won't be OC so I am not sure where there is much room for promotion. Might give him a pay raise though if needed.

No, definitely didn't think KU would stay close for that long tonight.

The final score will not reflect how competitive KU was tonight.

Nov 18, 2018 03:24 AM #84

I always have hope we show up, some talent on this team!

Nov 18, 2018 03:25 AM #85

Nov 18, 2018 03:25 AM #86

Not pookie

Believe it or not - -this team has improved this year - not being blown out every game. - - -baby steps - -Beaty is gone I like him just over his head. -- just couldn't stop OU powerful offense

Nov 18, 2018 03:39 AM #92

we get Les - -he better bust his ass keeping Pooka to stay - -better keep Hill -- next Saturday might be interesting

Nov 18, 2018 03:41 AM #93

My son just said we ran that xtra pts play w/John randle.

Nov 18, 2018 03:43 AM #94

Bender makes Alex Smith look like Patrick Mahomes. He’s hard to watch.

Nov 18, 2018 03:45 AM #95

@Woodrow he's better than anyone else we've had in awhile

Nov 18, 2018 03:47 AM #96

Pooka w/ over 250 yards for Pooka against Oklahoma, 2 rushing TDs, 1 passing. Filthy.

Graphic of players around the country they just showed had a Lil'Jordan, a Gentle, a Tuf, and a Legend, all first names. Are these the names their parents gave them? I hope not.

Nov 18, 2018 03:48 AM #97

My favorite hoops name....a guy who played for Memphis State named Baskerville Holmes (R.I..P)

Nov 18, 2018 03:49 AM #98

Nice to have announcers that are so respectful! Fans have to see we are better!

Nov 18, 2018 03:49 AM #99

I have always wondered how hard it was to be beaty's wife. Tough job for her! I don't know how Beaty could be so positive w/those kids. I couldn't keep my head up like he does. But I know he has their respect and that speaks volumes. He was put in an impossible position, made worse by Charlie Weis. I really put the blame on all this mess on sz. I don't think Beaty every gave up. I hope he's in a winning place next time. I think he's great for young people.

Nov 18, 2018 04:14 AM #105

Not a win but a really good showing for KU, definitely above what was expected. OU had to earn the win and now is the only conference team with a shot at the playoffs although it is stating to look like the conference will not have a team in the playoffs.

Nov 18, 2018 04:53 AM #106

Great effort tonight, the defense did a little too much breaking but they limited huge plays. Man I hope Pooka stays, if we get the right offensive coordinator, he’ll be a force. I’m not a 100% why he only got 20 total touches. My boss who’s a huge OU fan and former college running back (DII) was asking how in the hell we lost to Nichols, KSU and Baylor with the talent we have. All I could say piss poor coaching. I’m proud of the effort these guys are putting in knowing the season is over and the coach is gone. I find myself wondering what this team could’ve done had Zenger been fired 6 months earlier and Miles was named coached assuming Pooka still comes. I bet 7 or 8 wins would’ve happened. We lose so much it’s tough to expect a high number of wins next season.

Agree - Oklahoma IS NOT worth any # 6 ranking in the poll's -- -Really great effort by the guys last night - -probably had some Okla fans wondering what the hell. -- -I know a lot of their fans are about to go off the deep end on their boards - -. - Boy starting to get to be some bad blood with these programs -- lots of chirping - -could get really nasty hmmm. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Nov 18, 2018 01:58 PM #108

@kjayhawks Pooka only got 20 touches for the same reason you mentioned we lost to those 3 teams. Sims is another guy that has been greatly under utilized all year. However, we your QB can’t throw the ball that doesn’t help.
