Also, only Trae Young has a worse 3pt% for players with 120+ 3pt attempts.

Wonder if Self gets a coaching assist...since I think he mentioned scoring more inside to Embiid.

@Bwag that depends on whether it is successful come playoff time I think.

@jayballer73 Jimmy Butler spent his freshman year at Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX and then he was offered by Marquette where he played his sophomore, junior and senior years.

Had some friends that played against him in HS here in the Houston area, second best HS players I've seen in person after Grimes.

This obviously doesn't indicate future pro success, but Butler was a little bit of a late bloomer whereas Grimes may have peaked in HS.

@jayballer73 Yes, Jojo is sure enjoying himself in the NBA. I like the guy.

Embiid is the only player left that can throw something at GSW they don't have an answer for. If Philly makes the Finals, they have a chance.

May 03, 2019 04:08 PM #16

Embiid does present a unique challenge for GS because of his size and ability to punish smaller defenders. Golden State can usually go small and run the other team into the ground. They can't do that to Philly, and Jimmy Butler is waiting for the challenge of going toe to toe with Kevin Garnett. Butler has always been a bit underrated IMO, but he could change all of that with a nice run here in the playoffs.

One of the announcers and GOD knows I love Jo Jo - kind of made a not so great statement : Jo Jo was going off - -and he says as long as Jo Jo could stay healthy there is no reason he couldn't be mention in the conversation as the Best player to EVER play that position.

The other says - - HOLD UP - - -HOLD UP - - then he started talking about numerous other bigs that might take offense to that - like Oneil - - -Jabbar - - Chamberlin - - Duncan - - and others.

The guy said I said IF he could remain healthy. - -I can kind of see both sides to this - -both had good points - -I would have to agree at THIS POINT in his career that might be a little stretch - - yet still if he can stay healthy? - - - - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Hell ya , and he is one of our boys. - -He has some flamboyance to him - -loves to throw shade - plays to the fans. - -your gonna either love him - -OR your gonna hate him. - -I know they love him in Philly. Guy is a animal.

The team has a nice make up. - they were talking about really this team hasn't played together very long - -because of all their new additions - actually THESE guys have only played together like for 7 games some where around there - 7 or 17 hell I can't remember - -whatever it was - -not very long.

I mean love the roster - - Jo , Jo - -Simmons - -those two have really good chemistry - - Butler - -really good - -Redick man you leave him - -your in trouble - Tobias is pretty decent - -got some good makeup. -- ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

I think Jimmy Butler would enjoy the matchup with Garnett better than the one with Durant at this point... ;-)

Man I just HATE this dam NBA continuation play/calls - I mean it's just crazy - I guy goes on a drive gets fouled - - -he continues three four five more steps then shoots and makes the shot they call it good and get the foul - -that's just insane - -they need to do something with that.

Had to laugh at this during game 7 tonight with Jo Jo - -break in the game - -ran a comerical , Jo jo was in it - -it was about hula phone or something like that - fans getting Jo Jo autograph - -fan ask Jo jo said I thought your nick name was the Process - he says not anymore

Then he is walking out of the arena - - and this little curtain climber lil guys Mr Emb - - - why did you change your nickname - - Jo jo pauses- - leans down to the little man and he says - - -MONEY LMAO

Man, that's a tough way to lose if you're Philly. I think that ball hit the rim and glass 4 or 5 times before it barely rolled in.

May 13, 2019 01:53 AM #24

I feel for Jojo and the 76ers, that was a great series. One of the best I've seen in a over a decade. Leonard is one of my favorite players to watch and he was superman all series but that was outta his ass no question.

May 13, 2019 02:56 AM #25

I saw the last 5 minutes and that's enough NBA for me for the year. Maybe the rest of my life.

that is what I was tellin my friend. - - - jo Jo almost got that dam thing then it bound at least 3-4 times.

Philly just blew this game throw I mean like 3 shot clock violations in like the last 6 minutes of the game - - who does that? - not paying attention - -then like the announcer said he couldn't understand why they didn't at least try to get the ball down low to their best player late in the game - -Jo Jo did though take some ill advised three's late - - Toronto all they have is Leonard -c-again like they said Toronto better have someone else step up - Milw will teat that ass up

All series - - Philly had NO ANSWERE for him - - you knew Leonard was gonna be taking that shot --- Jo Jo bout got that shot

@jayballer73 forsure, I'm not sure he could even see the hoop. Hard to chalk that up as much more than luck.

May 13, 2019 12:15 PM #29

To think the Sixers could have had Leonard if they were just willing to give up Fultz preseason instead of for just a bench place later on...

May 13, 2019 12:34 PM #30

@Kcmatt7 Put Kawhi in Philly and the Warriors have a legit challenger.

Is Fultz still hurt or exactly what DID happen with him. - -Philly has some good players - -I really like Butler , then of course Jo Jo and Simmons , Harris - I'm not sure exactly what they are missing. - I do think Jo Jo tens to settle a little to much trying to hit the 3 at times a little to much -cause when he is low he is a load - - totally forgot about Fultz - -him or someone like him might be that final piece

May 13, 2019 01:24 PM #33

@jayballer73 Philly traded Fultz for a bag of potato chips.

well dam. - -I think somebody of that type could be the last piece they needed

May 13, 2019 01:38 PM #35

@jayballer73 D'Aaron Fox, Donovan Mitchell or Lauri Markannen from the 2017 draft instead of Fultz would have been nice.

May 13, 2019 01:49 PM #36

@approxinfinity

Mishandling that pick is going to haunt the Sixers forever.

In addition to the three guys you already listed, they could have also had Jayson Tatum, or traded down for multiple other players and/or picks. Pretty much anything would have been better than what they ended up with. Heck, they probably could have traded down with a team like Sacramento and gotten Fox and another player in that draft (Fox and Mitchell perhaps).

The draft is an inexact science, but missing on that pick is going to have an effect on the NBA for the next decade or more.

Also, Kawhi Leonard hitting the first ever game 7 buzzer beater is why I love watching the NBA. Portland and Denver played a great game earlier, followed by that wild back and forth Philly-Toronto game. And that is just leading up to what will probably be a very tight Milwaukee-Toronto series, and, while probably not close, an entertaining series between the Warriors and Blazers.

@Kcmatt7 That’s excalty what I said last off season, put him on that club and they are dominating the east for the next 5 seasons.
