Shaka can't catch a break. The Big-12 has been ravaged by injuries and such. Life on the bubble just got more difficult

I think we are witnessing the final collapse of Shaka. It's done.

What stinks, is that Chris Beard seems like an inevitable lock for the job. An actually good coach with the resources he will get at UT... Look out.

Wow what a crazy year in Big 12 basketball - - - -All the injuries for different teams , - - Suspensions at WV - -- Now suspension at Texas - - Vick walking away - -Crazy , Crazy year. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Being in the Austin market, I have not heard any "rumors" as to why he was suspended, but it IS clear that Shaka is on shaky ground. He's being compared to Charlie Strong and you know how that turned out. They don't like the hires that were done by Patterson here and he is the last one. Plus they are getting a new venue and they have to be able to have the fans supporting it for as much as they are saying it is going to cost. Our game there wasn't even a sell out. Have watched them all season and it is pitiful the crowd that shows up. There's hardly any talk on sports radio/tv about them, even after our loss. It is so much a football school and bball is just not what the fans like with the way that Shaka has taken them.

Here's my take on the Shorthorns. I have a brother in law that is a KU grad, ferocious fan, who lives smack dab in the middle of Austin. He doesn't give two s*its about Shorthorn basketball, but he always goes out and watches them a couple times a year. He always makes the KU game, and he normally hits another one as well. He is a spectator for Shorthorn basketball. And he summarizes the crowd for their games: an entire room full of spectators.

They are saying during the Oklahoma/Texas game that Kerwin is Suspended by the UNIVERSITY -so NOT the Men's Basket Ball program and Smart ? - he can travel - -he can practice but not play.

I thought it was Smart that Suspended him - -but they saying the University. - -Oh as far as our game -- I think we tough this game out -- find a way to win -I want to say 74-69 - as we know -- -got to have this ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Hells yeah...If not for KU the B12 would be a non-factor in college bball. Right now, its KU against the B12 for 15. If TT wins, ksu is almost clinched. If ksu beats us in the Phog, which I pray doesn't happen, they pretty much clinch the title. KU must win tonight, beat ksu, and sweep their season. They dug this hole with WVU and the UT loses.

Time to team up and earn this title.
