How many all Americans do you guys think will we have next year? I think we will actually have 4. DD Ochia, SDS, and Doke while Moss will get big 12 honors. Holy cow I’m excited.

Whew. You are talking conference right? I think the only guys in play for national honors are Dot and Doke.

@FarmerJayhawk If Doke can stay healthy, and if Agbaji can take the next step, and if Moss can be consistent, and if De Sousa can do... things, then that starting 5 can be the best in the country. Elite on both sides of the ball. A lot of ifs though, without even going to the bench.

@BShark This is probably right but I think the other 3 starters have the potential to be All Big 12, especially Agbaji.

All 5 won't, but I can see scenarios for everyone. Dot is a :lock: and so is Doke if he stays healthy.

@BShark That's what I meant. I should have clarified. I think one of them will be, but all 3 have the potential. If I were betting I would say Agbaji, though.

Four is a big number. Even if we have four players who are deserving we won't get that many. I say two, and one honorable mention.

@KUSTEVE Wilson was awful, so he goes in the yikes category.

Was thinking McBride pretty good shooting, then I saw his to's😳misprint?

Looks like Agbaji hasn't made much progress on his outside shooting this offseason.

Interesting, but not a lot we can learn since the samples are tiny and guys are adjusting to the new line.

McBride with strong numbers.

@FarmerJayhawk They're are definitive in anyway, but those numbers are useful for gauging progress. Agbaji at 27% is concerning because he was only at 30% last year. That's an indicator that his 3 point shooting may still be in Marcus Garrett territory.

Dotson being at 45%, but with low attempt numbers, is a sign that he needs to create more opportunities for himself from 3 because he has the abilities to be a dead eye shooter from deep.

Silvio and McCormack having 4 attempts between them is a sign the neither has the range to take that shot yet. That is a sign that KU is going to have to get much better at ball movement than they were last season to create good shots for players.

With Wilson and McBride, Wilson looks like he won't be a great shooter right away, could be the one big capable of spacing the floor and opening driving lanes for the guards. McBride looks like he won't have much issue adjusting to the deeper line and could potentially be the most consistent shooter on the team.

While I agree nothing is definitive with these numbers, there is definitely some usefulness to them to give some insight into where the players are at.
