@DCHawker I was surprised to see Chaminade only had two offensive rebounds. Part of their rebounding edge is because they have 16 turnovers so less opportunities for KU to rebound defensively.

@Big-Clyde52 Yeah I'm not too surprised. Their elite defense should keep them in many games but their offense is extremely bad. Kenpom adjusted #170 offense with their schedule is a complete embarrassment. Plus their is the eye test which their offense fails abysmally.

I watched most of the UCLA-BYU game, wasn't impressed. The Bruins didn't lose due to lack of personnel, they were just outhustled and outplayed, period. I'm not a big Cronin fan, wasn't when he was at Cincinnati either. The guy can coach, no doubt, but the system is just, well, pretty damn boring. The time to poach some Cali players is now, now, now.

If we don't beat BYU by double digits I will be very surprised. And, oh man, am I glad that Walton isn't calling the game - Shulman and Bilas I like. Walton is, I just gotta say it, an out of his element weirdo. Man, but how old are those BYU guys anyway? They have one guy who is all but completely bald, Lol! I realize that they go on missions, but I thought they were for 2 years, not 20 😂

@Marco I do think Cronin is a good fit. Boring basketball is right. Just north of UVA. But I think he's a winner. Will be interesting to see where that sits two years from now. And man, Bill Walton is a guy that is fun to listen to ... for about 5 minutes. I don't dislike the guy but I don't like that messing up my hoops.

Agree on Walton, too many whimsical life/political points to my liking. "Newsflash Mr. Walton, it's a basketball game." We disagree on Cronin, though. I don't think that style of play will translate well out west. But we'll see.

I told people - -Walton is just no good. - -he talks about everything other then the game.

Then like last night a guy makes a routine rebound and when he does say something it's like - - GREAT REBOUND - -what defense - -or how Chamanide running KU right out of the gym on ONE fast break LMAO

I find Walton entertaining in small doses.

Ah, to be so carefree and young. My remaining life is too precious to waste that much time. I lasted 20 seconds...that I can't get back.

I had 3 younger siblings growing up and 2 young kids now. I can tune Walton’s idiocy out just fine. I’d prefer to enjoy the broadcast, but generally I don’t listen to anything any broadcaster says since Max/Bob retired.

Am I reading this right? UCLA up on Chaminade 22-16 at the half?

I'm not a Vitale fan either (he has bigtime duke/uk bias), but would take him over Walton any day of the week.
