@BShark the instant he got asked to leave!

@jayballer73 Huge upgrade for Tejas if it happens.

I'd like it tbh, Bill can use the stimulation. Shaka is a putz.

I can see why this is making the rounds but does John really want to head back to College at 67. And then there's the reason why he left the College game in the first place.. Wasn't it based on how fed up he was with recruiting etc.

Would be funny if he reunites with Yalich

@BeddieKU23 He left around $30 million on the table that Cleveland owed him. I think that’s likely because he doesn’t want any thing in the way of his return to coaching. Otherwise that’s a pretty good retirement fund!

@dylans Was about to mention this. You don't walk away from that without getting another job.

ya actually I was thinking the same thing but just didn't say it, I'm always afraid to speak out anymore a lot of times afraid I'll step on someone's toes one way or another and then the thread just turns into a big crap fest. I'll agree I think it would do the league good. Profile Coach had some success not only upgrade for Texas - -But upgrade for league

@dylans @BShark yep, exactly what I was thinking, no other logical reason to leave that on the table.

@BShark Belein is a perfect example of why it's not a good idea for any successful college coach to go to the NBA - Stevens is an exception, not the rule.

Feb 27, 2020 06:27 AM #13

@BShark maybe he had a mental breakdown?

Feb 27, 2020 06:32 AM #14

Or maybe he got tired of trying to coach a bunch of players who think that they don't need to be coached?

Feb 27, 2020 06:36 AM #15

@Marco that's true, for sure

@Crimsonorblue22 not many college coaches have gone on to succeed in the NBA. It's where you go - I guess - just to bank and stain your career.
