TCU took a huge gamble on him, he was 300+ pounds when he arrived and worked tirelessly to help him get in shape and now we have this.. brutal

He's cringe for sure, I have zero love for him personally but I do respect what he has done and I think we are little blinded to how good he's been since they are a conference foe and we know the ins and outs. Basically everything Drew does on the court rivals the best of the rest out there. Won a championship, develops talent, gets talent in the door. If he never had to talk the media or deal with his way's I'd be all for it. I'm surprised his name wasn't mentioned since he is the coach KU has struggled the most to beat in the last 5 yrs. I'll end with, he's a creepy dude
Self at the end of the day probably can steer the AD in the direction he needs to go when it's time. I'm sure Self will have the best guess who could lead them

I'd vomit myself to sleep but he's the one coach that's elevated his program to KU's level in the conference. His x's and o's will never compare but he recruits, develops and wins. He's basically the only name I would even think of currently.
One thing to mention, if he doesn't reclassify to the 23 class I wouldn't be surprised if he had 2nd thoughts at some point. It's a long time to be committed and have people in your ear telling you otherwise.
So it's probably best we get him in this class and figure out the numbers.
Shocked we won this battle tbh but good to see our NIL game is on point to win these kind of battles for prospects in other's backyards.
I agree I'd rather have him in 24 and attack the portal to get the 2 starters we need but perhaps we'll see the numbers still work out anyway where that happens and Adams still ends up in 23. I'll be interested to see when he plans to make that decision, he has said he'll play AAU which I'd rather him get to KU as soon as he can.
Long term his potential is good but there is some worry initially. He hasn't played a lot of top competition in HS or in grassroots. Perhaps it won't matter but there may be an adjustment period for him you might not expect with the #29 ranked player. We'll see
It's downright pathetic when we can predict (with probable accuracy) what's going to happen.
