They definitely need to review that. Could argue that it was a F-2. He initially made a play on the ball, but then tried to knock him down...
Let's close out the half strong...
0-3 from the arc, but we're working for good shots. 9-14 from 2pts range, which is pretty good for this team. And, in contrast to last game, JW doesn't have to try to score every trip down...
@Kcmatt7 Don't disagree, but how can you miss it that badly that wide open???
Forcing TOs and not turning it over ourselves is the difference, but they are making shots - 5-8.
Love strong drives to the hoop - has been missing the past few games...
Not a quality shot JW...
This is a relatively rare instance in which the other team has better talent, almost across the board. Certainly in the backcourt and with Allen. So, have to play with intensity, minimize TOs, and make shots...
Did I hear ESPN crew in Duke-Miami game say that Gradey is out?

There was a moment the other day in the first half where MJ had a chance to D up a guy ready to shoot and he made no effort. Can't time stamp it for you but I seen it with my own eyes and it was shockingly bad no effort defense. It looked like NBA All Star game defense. I'm pretty sure Bill walked onto the court and grabbed him by the ear and dragged him off the court.
More than just that one instance. It appears to be a (deadly) combination of cluelessness on defense and total absence of effort. He is completely unplayable. Unspecified injury is just the cover for not throwing him completely under the bus. Frankly, I would rather have Jank in emergency situations. Will actually try on defense and is a real threat to score if you leave him open on the perimeter...
@Texas-Hawk-10 Totally agree. UT would be 8-3 if they win. Next 4 games for them line up pretty well - 3 at home and on the road against TTU. ISU also has a relatively favorable schedule with 2 games against WVU. And, I don't see Baylor losing many more games now with Tcha Tcha back and contributing. Still think TTU might be the best in the league at full strength, but they are a long way from that right now.
Even if we hold serve tonight, difficult to see how we finish any better than 12-6. We simply don't have clearly better talent and definitely have less depth than other teams in the conference. Just very, very tough this year...
CB got a start tonight - killing it. With 2 minutes to go in the 3rd, he has 17 points on 6-9 shooting, and 5 RBs....

We ran some creative sets earlier in the year. Where are the guard post ups?
The chemistry this team had earlier this season was pretty scary when it clicked. Seems like something has changed.
I would say 3 things have changed:
We're playing against better competition every time - 18 games against top 40 teams; 10 games against top 15 teams.
We're playing teams that are very familiar with what we like to run and have a lot of experience against our sets - and most are very good defensive teams even without that.
We're now 2/3rds into the season with no development of the bench and the starters playing high 30s minutes every night - tired legs.
What hasn't changed is if we are hitting shots (esp. GD contributing) and playing with intensity, we can beat anyone. The flip-side is that we can be beat any night if those two things aren't happening; indeed, we can get beat badly.

The sky isnt falling. This team is fine. Championship bound? Probably not. There is always a lot to learn from a loss. If we have to lose, lets do it before March.
The sky isn't falling but not sure how you define "fine." We could easily end up .500 in the league. Not sure I see more than 3 should-wins. 11-7 is probably the ceiling. We still have 4 tough road games and Baylor and Texas at home.
Doesn't mean we can't win a few games in the post-season, but it may end up being as 3-4 seed and little margin for an off game.
WTF was Rice doing - literally no effort..
Gradey has had a really bad game...
Entire offense right now is JW drawing fouls on difficult shots...
16 more shot attemps by ISU....
We are making ISU look like an offensive juggernaut...
2 bench points...
Their ball movement is so much better - they are getting open looks from 3 and iso's in the paint...
Missed at least last 7 3 pt attempts - most way off...
They are beating us - easily - to loose balls...
@benshawks08 They have a 20-6 pt advantage in the paint. D is almost as bad as the offense...
Point guard giving up the ball on a break...
@wissox Continuation from last game - JW, Gradey and McCullar were 2-18 from inside the arc. Although this game, JW is the only one of the 3 who has taken a 2 pt shot...
Joe, Bobby and Udeh in at the same time????
Wow - throwing lazy passes and not getting back on D...
@stoptheflop Well, at least with regard to the first one, TCU is still without Miles, and although Lampkin played against WVU, it was only for 8 minutes. And, OSU is a solid team and has just one conference loss at home.
Remarkable stat - JW, Gradey and McCullar made just 2 buckets inside the arc - 2-18! - and we win by 12...
@DanR Due to lack of inferiority complex...
KSU - 29-34 FTs - effing incredible..
At this point, just drive hard and draw fouls...
@BShark They've made 25-30...
They are running some good action and getting good shots...
I don't like Joe's shot....
someone needs to take it right at Johnson...
McCullar just 1-4 from the field - BUT, 7 RBs, 3 assts and 2 steals at the half. That's a glue guy...
So, we've had 9 players score - 10 pts from the bench. Since when has that happened????
@Texas-Hawk-10 Bad shot compounded by the flop...
Stupid....
Both team have better shooting % from 3 than inside the arc...
Crazy effing game so far...
Give KSU credit. They have 5 more TOs and we've hit 6 3s, but they are keeping it close. They are a solid team...
6-10 beyond the arc - just 3-10 from inside. Not sustainable, but will take it now...
ESPN box score has Cuffe in the game with an ORB????
Plus, good showing by the B12...
Impressive win at Rupp...
But we can't stop their one play - Oscar getting it easily deep every time...
KJ scoring well, but stunning that he has just 1 RB - 8 for JW and 10 for KM...
