@JayHawkFanToo I love the spin on this classic Michael Jordan quote "KU does not lose, they just run out of time" well played.
@jayhawkeyes That was my favorite part of the "throw down" as well. Selden was going crazy and I loved it! It's sucha joy to watch our guys balling out and just having fun. I thinkt hey were more excited by the play than Tarik and i like the fact he barely paused before running back up the floor to play D, only to follow that up with a monster OOP
@konkeyDong "The only ones in the venue that didn't seem to realize that a foul had been committed were the refs."
I thought the same thing on that play. Everyone in the building was clued in except the striped shirts. Jo got called for a tech the game before for trying to steady himself as he was falling, but yet he gets forcibly throw to the ground and there is nothing called? We've had a couple dumb deadball contact fouls called against us and yet one that was so obviously a foul is missed? I, like you as well try not to blame the refs for the outcome of a game, but that was just terrible officiating. That's a situation where if it's called correctly it changes the complexion of the game.
I watched the UNC-DOOK game last night as well and thoguht it was pathetic that they stromed the court. Even more so than when KSUcks did it to us. In my opinion the only court storming should be when a low level teams takes down a no 1 or 2 ranked opponent, such as when BC did it to 'Cuse this week. A Blue Blood should never be stomring the court especially if they own the head to head record in the rivalry. UNC has been there before and should act like it. In all fairness to KSUCks they haven't really been there and didn't know how to act.
@bskeet I was at Johnny's Tavern watching the game and when Tharpe made that second boneheaded turnover, the entire bar collectively lost their s$@!. It's like the light switch to his brain suddenly turned off and he forgot how to handle a basketball. Kinda reminds me of Space Jam when all the players lost thier abilities and couldn't do anything with the rock.
@bskeet Let's hope for that to happen. I would love for Bill to retire here. We already know he is HOFer. But there's nothing saying he can't pile on to that legacy!
@globaljaybird Love the horse analogies!
The optimist in me is hoping he cashes in on two of the bargainnig chips this year. B12 banner #10 and National Championship #2!!!
I don't think Self will leave to go to OKST. With them being an in conference rival and HCBS caring so much about KU, he knows it would be a huge slap in the face to us fans. If he ever jumps from KU i think it's to the League
