Not going to let my feelings about CF be affected by this, stupid mistake but an all to common one.

When he announced he was leaving I was not disappointed. Not that I think he is a bad player, he surely is pretty damn good. More it was not not the best fit. He's not as quick as Mason/Graham, he is not a long nor as athletic as Greene/Seldon. Can't even compare him to KO easily.

After watching the Mason/Graham ball control program, Greene going all sniper-like from 3 and rebounding like a man:

After watching Selden playing D and KO running around like the energizer bunny on speed: I just can not see where Conner would fit in on this team. I think he saw the same thing and got out at the point it would affect him and the team the least. Yes, the least, you have to consider that until seeing the guys in practice he did not know where he stood. He figured it out quickly and made his choice in about as short a time span as you could ask for.

For one I think he made the right choice for him, and probably the best one for KU long term. His leaving let Graham get more minutes to show his stuff. It also lets Greene get more minutes.. Both of those players have more upside and both need reps to step up their games. We are beginning to see the results of that and is it not a thing of beauty?

Now if they would extend the games a few minutes we could get Svi some time to become the assassin I think he can be!

I may be off, I often am, but I see Svi as a TAD. It is possible he will be back a third year but I think this kid is going to get it figured out sooner rather than later. When he does figure it out he is going to turn into something special. HCBS has been quoted as saying he has the most upside of anyone on the team. He has been wrong before, but then when he's right, aka Jo Jo and others, he is very right!

@@HawkInMizery This method doesn't work for those that have to log into espn3 through their cable provider. I have cable one and have to be using cable ones internet to get espn3. So when I use a bounce site it also strips off my cable one info and espn won't let me in.

I have contacted espn to see if i can buy a viewing package directly and watch everything via the internet. Right now this is not possible however they say they are "working on it". IF this happens bye bye cable as I can already watch everything else I want over the internet.

I saw that as well and attributed it to the energy spent on D, will have to watch tomorrow a bit closer. There are times he seems to have his pop, he releases higher on his jump shot and seems to a bit more in rhythm when he does. I have not been able to tell what the difference is from pop time to non-pop time.

I believe there has to be some continuity between seasons which comes from the 3-4 year players. I would like to see a footer recruited, one with reasonable athleticism but not a OAD or TAD. Lets say a Jeff Withey type, one that has to develop but when they do become quite serviceable as a JR and potential starter as a SR. While developing they provide a valuable service on the practice squad as an added bonus.

Not saying I am against the OAD/TAD players just that there is a benefit to 3-4 year players that is a bit less tangible.
